Honestly it really is amazing just how comfortable you can get with tablet Krita, default charcoal rock soft brush ily-

And some WIPs and thoughts under the cut heh

So: WIPs first

There was a moment in there where Krita crashed right after I'd done some rendering post WIP 3 and I almost cried, but it turns out it has an auto save, so I didn't lose too much progress hehe

Sooo turns out rendering golden stuff is really fun! I definitely do think his armour looks a lot more metallic here, which is fun. Also I changed his pants from red to purple so they stand out a bit more, and I do think it was a good call!

But yeah, pre-canon hero AU Ghirahim (or as I lovingly call him - Herohim) in all his glory! I think I'm doing him a lot more justice here, I feel a lot more satisfied looking at bro in this picture. He's my lil guy, my funky little redesign. I feel like he looks suitably mischievous and smug, and his remlit looks fine considering how I didn't really use a ref for it. I didn't use a ref for anything else either, but I'm especially proud of the remlit because I don't usually draw animals.

Arghghgh I'm just excited to share my dude with everyone again, finally something in colour that fits my vision a bit better

Revisiting Ghirahim has been fun. It's been a while since I replayed this game, so I rewatched his cutscenes as a refresher. I forgot how funny he is. He literally blows the player a kiss and then proceeds to tell Link that he's a naughty boy who needs to be punished. It's no wonder I get bored of other Zelda villains so quickly. They just don't hit the same way Ghirahim does.
