New Year's Eve

is not something Megan ever had faith in. Teenagers and booze, getting drunk and doing things you usually wouldn't even think of doing. And for what? So that people can celebrate another revolution around the Sun. Where's the point? What's the point? Megan didn't know. She didn't even want to know. She was home, just like other years ago, with her grandmother and parents who payed them visit for Christmas holidays. She baked cakes and retrieved to her room, doing things she found relaxing and soothing. Reading. Writing. Summoning her grandfather's spirit. Inventing stories in which dragons survive or harass the village of thieves, deceivers and liars. If she could awake them she would. New Year's Eve resolution? She won't allow this school to touch her. She won't allow to ever lose herself.
