I lowkey love how in jester's stories we get plenty of cgs where our MC is alone; admiring her surroundings, dancing, learning to fight, bonding with her dragon, expressing her emotions, etc.

It feels like.....the MC is her OWN person. They're not experiencing any trauma, rather, they're just THERE, existing. I don't know how to properly express it in words but I love it.

That cg of mei dancing, that one of lou standing in the forest with the sun shining on her, when lou's apartment is filled with water and she just...lies down, the one of tiss being protected by narialm in the rain, in front of the soldiers.

Unfortunately, tiss does not have many of those moments. But for mei and lou, so much of their personality was shown through the cgs. Traits or ways of emotional expression that were not related to the "main" problems or trauma that they were facing in the story.

Just their average, day-to-day actions, being shown to us. There being an emphasis on THEM as an "individual" rather than as a character. I don't even know if I'm making sense right now or not but it's just so beautiful.

One of the pieces played in PSI is Beethoven’s “Moonlight Sonata.”

My mind immediately went to Ivo and Lou’s kiss scene when I recognized it. The restrained intensity and emotional quietness of the piece feel like that scene to me.

But I love how other readers associate it with different moments too — the moonlit cello scene, the planetarium date…

It somehow fits all of them. 🤍🎻

Ok I've never been a fan of asking for a side character to be a li and I've found side characters hot and intriguing before to the point where I've wanted them but I don't care enough usually to want the author to go against their plans and make them a li when they weren't going to be, I think it's very rare that goes well HOWEVER Warning: Minor Sunborn spoilers
