I was scrolling through Facebook and found some various posts about how Captain Marvel was better than so many "haters" thought, and how Carol Danvers was drinking the haters tears. And so many people in the comments were talking about how the movie was possibly one of the worst marvel movies, and that ticked me off. Not enough to respond to the comments, but enough to make a rant, and I'm taking it out on this channel. Hope you don't mind. While Captain Marvel isn't the best marvel movie, it's not terrible. It is very good, it has it's faults, but it's not meant to be a masterpiece. It's goal is to give people who might not be very comic savy a good feeling who Carol Danvers is. As well as preparing people for Endgame. It isn't supposed to necessarily a feminist movie, but it is meant to be empowering. Imagine all the kids going to see it and being empowered, being given the power to follow their dreams and stand up for themselves. It doesn't fit in very well with the rest of the MCU, but neither do the other movies. Have you seen the damn MCU timeline??? It's a gosh diddly dang mess! The movie is a holdover, it is meant to give the viewers a chance to meet the new hero, get your purist booty outta my MCU and leave me be.
