i think carraway, as a consequence of being Like That, is really obsessed with eyes. how they look and everything. finds all eyes very beautiful and unfortunately is a starer.

so dongrang has a big staring problem when it comes to jack. like actual unblinking staring, which unnerves anyone who sees him doing it. hes mostly entranced by their face, on whatever expression their making. if theyre talking to him his ass is not listening im sorry to say. when jack realizes hes staring they snap their fingers in his face to get his attention. 'hey, listen up, im still talking.'

jack. doesnt stare on purpose. they really dont, but theyre so bad at processing what someone says unless theyre directly staring at that person's mouth. so they stare at dongrang's mouth a lot. other than that, they also stare at that fucking mole on his neck. dongrang doesnt really react, probably laughs to himself when he realizes whats happening.
