I've started posting chapters of The Eden Experiment (my OC's story) up on Ao3 as a sort of "beta version" people can read and leave feedback on. This is a decision I've been batting around for a while, but after a lot of consideration, I think this is the best method for me to get my shit out there regardless. Traditional publishing is no longer in the cards for me for a number of reasons, but I'm hoping at least this will give me even a sliver of opportunity for people to encourage me to keep working on it. I don't want this project to die.

The Chinese room 's Still Wakes the Deep is an excellent example of games that make you feel the deepest dread, isolation and hopelessness. Linear, impactful and to the point, it throws challenges at you that feel pressing without being overwhelming, and a subtle, slow, creeping feeling of knowing that there is no help coming. The losses are gut punching, the creature and sound design is incredible, and it doesn't overstay it's welcome. You feel both viscerally disgusted and weirdly enthralled by the fleshy, breathing mycelium like growths taking over not only your rig but your friends, it's wailing song beautifully haunting and deeply horrifying. It's a game that will get into your head and clench your heart in its fist and not let go. Top notch. 10/10

okay picture this; i go back in time and find a victorian orphan child. do i blow his mind? do i break his brain? NO!!! i give him warm soft clothes and a hug. he gets me wizard high off what would commonly be used to treat a minor cough in that era. we both eventually contract a deadly illness and then i bring him to the future where we get easily cured of our ailment. i buy him a happy meal afterwards. he’s my good son now. love you son.
