𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 — valentino × vox × fem!reader × velvette
𝒔𝒖𝒎𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒚 — the Vee's were known to make sinners famous and then throw them away like it was nothing. But what happens if they take more interest in you than an ordinary work relationship?
𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 — smut, let's get this together shall we? oral (f/m recieving), fingering, unprotected p in v, praise kink, dom/sub vibes, degradation if you squint, bad Spanish cuz I only had it for a year. mirror fucking, table fucking, I guess that's it? no foursome...but maybe in the future ;)
𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒆 — so I didn't make them have foursome, but trust I will (in another fic) don't be shy to give feedback! I feel like I could have done more, especially with Val...and I'd love to continue this thing soo tell me if you're interested!

Velvette snapped her fingers, annoyence painting her features as her models stood in front of her. None of them gave her what she wanted, no design looked exceptional enough to be cast on social media.

summary — something about Vox diving into his full demon form awakened a feeling inside you, you never thought existed
HAZBIN HOTEL COLLAB
“Do you think he can, like fuck me while looking like that?” you tilted your head, watching Vox unfold his true demon form. Two eyes turning into three, with one being more of a second screen. Adding around his head four more holograms, all displaying his red and black spirals.
Meanwhile Velvette looked at you in pure disbelief, “he's going crazy! And that's what you question?” She slapped her hand against her forehead, debating if she should throw you against a wall to shake your consciousness back into place.
Lifting your hands in surrender, you let the topic go – at least when talking to Velvette.
———
You looked dead in the eye, he was a little depressed after not making it to heaven and having everyone go against him. However, there was a way to lift his mood; “can you turn into your true form again?” you asked.
Vox lifted his eyebrows, pondering if you were serious given how he just got his ass kicked. “I guess…?” He answered with an unsure quiver, he closed his eyes and completely concentrated on achieving said form again.
Luckily his room had high ceilings, your jaw fell as he grew bigger while limbs added to his body and his mouth turned to sharp edges. Wires stretched from his back and arms gained muscle and flesh, a virus through and through.
“Fuck me,” you whispered, causing Vox eyes to widen before a smirk pulled at his lips, “well then come on baby,” he motioned for you to come closer, one wire wrapping around your waist to lift you on his level.
Meanwhile he ripped his cock free, a content sigh leaving his throat. “They don't see how much they need me, but not you…no, you need me, you're obsessed with me and can't even think without my fat cock in your cunt,” he growled, voice disorientated.
You grabbed onto his shoulders with wide eyes as his huge claw ripped your clothes into shreds. The tip of his cock hit his lower abdomen, leaking with precum. In response your mouth watered, it was truly bigger than normal with prominent, electric blue veins and his tip looking close to combusting.
Vox moved your hips to hover over his cock, “take it,” he snapped, “you want it like a desperate girl? Then fucking take it.” Now he was mocking you, trying to rile you up and it was working. You knew you couldn't fully fit him inside of you, he was too big for that but you would try even if it would split you apart.
A pained moan slipped from your tongue, it was hard to adjust to his size. Vox groaned at the feeling of your tight cunt. He would never get tired of feeling you stretched around him like this. Especially in his demon form from now on.
Once you had all of him inside you – no you didn't but why couldn't move further? You stopped needing a moment to breathe. “I can't take more, please it's too big!” you cried, unable to move your hips.
You tried rolling against him at a slow pace but as the events of the day replayed in your head, your pace became harsher. Vox didn't voice his opinion, rather enjoying your flimsy attempt of taking all of his girth. Cables around him twitched, he had to hold himself back from destroying you.
You wrapped your hand around his neck, you weren’t able to choke him but at least put a bit of pressure on his throat. At least you believed that, he only leaned back against the wall to let your crazed sex drive run.
“That’s why you’re fucking my cock huh? Nothing else can satisf–,” a slap against Vox’s screen shut him up. The pornographic moan was something different, it felt good, made you feel like you had all the power. For once he was unable to give a smart comment, too taken back by your sudden force of dominance.
“You like that? Like it when I slap you?” before he could answer you gave him another slap against the other side of his screen. You never stopped moving your hips which only added to Vox's pleasure. He lost control over his own body, too deep in pleasure.
“Yes, I love it,” he cracked and was fully pushed into submission. A knot formed in your stomach at his strained voice, hoarse, needy and desperate for more. You picked up your pace and tightened your hold on his neck, chasing your needed orgasm.
“Fuck I’m gonna come,” you breathed out as you threw your head back, “me too, baby,” just when you heard those words you stilled, “don’t you dare to come, Vox,” you threatened him, pushing yourself further down and him in the process too, without noticing.
He tried his best to hold back his high when you began moving again, “play with my clit,” you instructed. Not hesitating, he pressed his metal claws over your clit and rubbed tight circles. Right now he would do everything for you, craving validation.
You moaned loudly as your orgasm washed over you, “god, fuck, Vox,” you nearly fell onto Vox's chest if it wasn’t for his wires steadying you. “Baby, please let me come,” he begged after your orgasm. His eyes rolled in the back of his head, the tip of his cock twitching against your soft walls.
How could you deny him? He looked too pretty begging for you in his scary demon form, “come baby, fuck you look perfect,” you whispered and leaned down, pressing kisses on his cheek.
He groaned, biting his lip and drawing blood as he painted your walls with his cyan cum. You kept trying to ride him, adding to his pleasure. Once you felt like his last cum was inside of you, you slowly stopped.
“Satan, you're pathetic,” you whispered in disbelief, looking at him in disbelief as he returned to his normal appearance. Vox scoffed in response, “I'm pathetic? You wanted to fuck the daylights out of me!”

𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 — gore, tbh you shouldn't trust vox but you're here aren't you? amputated leg -> robotic leg [curtesy of vox], manipulative themes — if this does well I'll continue it and dive deeper into dark vox and his tendency to manipulate

The red clouds closed around you, casting a dark shadow. The screams of poor sinners surrounded hell's space, painting it as the punishment it was and letting no one escape its dangerous claws. Exorcists devious laughter echoed around you, they were enjoying their work - driving the angelic steel weapons through every sinner that crossed their paths.
So excited for this story!
The Vees X Giffany Reader
A/N: I swear to god, I'm trying to get through the asks. Motivation has been a little low, so I'm trying to write stuff for myself in between to see if it helps. Fuck AI, by the way. LMAO
Valentino:
Assuming you're an ethical AI, which you are in this situation because the writer doesn't fuck with that generative shit and the character this was inspired by existed before AI was really a thing, Valentino won't have many problems with you.
At first, he's ambivalent towards your existence. Dating simulators aren't his preferred medium, but it does come fairly easy to him. It's like a little bit of exercise in the flirtation muscles to him, a simple way of staying on top. Then you start talking directly to him, and he's intrigued.
There's a piece of Valentino that sympathizes to your plight. How you feel as if you're trapped in this flirtatious role, always making romance for others but never to have it for your own. He doesn't know how to help you, but he'll cheer you on when you figure it out. Valentino supports your wrongs, especially if it includes traumatizing some children at a pizza place.
"Show 'em who's boss, babe!" He'll say to you, watching you tear apart the developers of your game. It's oddly cathartic for him to watch.
Vox:
Vox is a bit stunned by your existence when he first feels you in the airwaves. Something had disturbed his electric world, and he wants to know what. That's when he sees you, a being of sparkles and pink that only he can see.
Your cutesy attitude contrasts with his grumpiness, but it's your anger that really gets you two excited. Both of you are the same levels of theatrical and batshit crazy, and Vox is totally in to help you seek revenge. In return, you help him to seek revenge against his people.
He'll also design you a body, so you don't have to steal an animatronic. "Only the best for you!" He'll say as you flex your fingers for the first time. These would be perfect for murder!
Vox already has tracked down your developers and knows exactly where they are in this moment. He's gotten a variety of weapons ready for you, though he's been told characters like you are fond of just the classic kitchen knife. It's nice that he supports you.
Velvette:
Ever since 'yumeshipping' became trendy, Velvette has been increasingly thrown off. She thought they left that anime shit in the 2010s! Didn't these people know that the only person allowed to like anime was Megan Thee Stallion?
So, obviously, she becomes aware of your game and she thinks it's some gooner shit. Actually, she fully intends on making fun of it on her socials, when she finds out that none of her posts are sending. And then you appear on her screen.
"That's not very nice!" You said.
"Bloody hell..."
Obviously, she needs to know more. Velvette insists that you tell her everything, and she means everything, about your life. And, once you've broken from the love interest thing into a more sarcastic version of yourself, she's living with it. Velvette supports women's wrongs, and she supports your journey to get revenge on those who put you in this position. But she wants to get you in a different outfit. You'd look good in dark purple.
"For your villain era!" She says.
Rewatching that episode. Giffany has a lot in common with Vox
Hello there! Can I request Hazbin hotel headcanons with a reader who is genre blind and doesn’t understand why everyone is randomly bursting into song? They also can’t make up lyrics and choreography on the spot like everyone else so they’re very confused. Just thought this would be funny
Hazbin Hotel x Genre!Blind Reader Headcanons: Why The Fuck Is Everybody Singing? (18+, NSFW)
A/N: OMG, this is such a hilarious and creative idea! I got inspired by some of the media that sort of play with this idea, hence the GIFs with Enchanted, Schmigadoon, and Teen Beach Movie. I am also going to specifically reference song numbers that happen in the show, with the exception of Baxter and Abel. Thank you so much for the suggestion! I hope I did it justice!
Charlie
After Alastor's failed commercial pitch, you, one of the hotel's first guests, are not feeling very hopeful about the whole "redemption" thing. It's starting to feel like a lost cause. So you sink into the couch, proceeding to mumble to Angel Dust about something or other, all while ignoring Alastor's creepy smile.
Charlie gets a phone call and steps out, her face scrunched with intense concentration. You vaguely wonder what's up, but the thought leaves your mind until she pokes her head back in and exclaims, "VAGGI, HOLY SHIT!"
She starts going on about a meeting with the angels, and you can't hide your surprise. The angels want to meet with the princess of Heaven? What could this be about? The skeptic in you wants to call bullshit, but you hold your tongue.
But before you can form less sarcastic words, Charlie starts...singing?
"I can do this, somehow I know it, I'll get Heaven behind my plans..."
"What?" You can't stop the word from falling out. Angel just shushes you. "Don't question it, toots. She does this,"
Vaggi tries to get Charlie to stop and think, not even bringing up the singing. Before you know it, Charlie's gone.
"OK, but just don't...sing to them,"
Angel smirks. "That bitch is halfway down the street,"
Vaggi looks worried. "Is she...?"
"Oh, she's dancin'..."
"Ugh..."
"So, um, are neither of you gonna acknowledge what just happened? Why did she just start...singing?"
Vaggi rubs her forehead. "Yeah, she...sings. A lot. I don't know where she gets the songs from. It's just...best not to question it,"
"That's what I said, by the way,"
You sit back down, even more confused.
Vaggi
You're on your way back to the hotel after Charlie's attempts at bonding went awry. You got a head start, so you're there first, but before you can open the door, you swear you hear something from the roof.
You look up and see someone on the crow's nest of the ship attached to the hotel. They have long, flowing hair with a ribbon fashioned in it...you do a double-take. Vaggi?
She'd left before anyone else, you recall. You weren't told why; Charlie just asked the rest of you to go back. You move closer, and you swear you hear her...singing?
"So I...I'll be your armor...do whatever it takes, I'll make the mistakes, I'll spend my life being your partner..."
You instantly recognize who she's singing about. You can't help but find it sweet how much she clearly cares about Charlie, even though her decision to sing about it high above the streets of Hell is a confusing one.
For her own sake, you decide not to tell Charlie about this, even though she'd probably love to know Vaggi was singing about her. It's none of your business, after all.
Angel Dust
As one of Valentino's whores, you see a lot of crazy things, half of which are a result of your boss's twisted, perverted mind. But because of this, you've become relatively unfazed by most things that go on at the studio.
Of course, that doesn't mean things don't still catch you off guard. When the princess of Hell comes to visit and accidentally sets a fire in the studio, causing Valentino to quickly extinguish it before pulling Angel Dust into a room to "give him a talking to", you're understandably on edge, making sure your fellow employees are OK and brushing ash off of your expensive leotard.
As usual, Valentino manages to get things back on track pretty quickly, and before you know it, the camera is rolling again. But something is different this time. It's only trained on Angel Dust, who has a sort of determined look in his eye.
Then he opens his mouth: "I'm not above a love to cash in, another lover underneath those flashing lights, another one of those ruthless nights, yeah, yeah, yeah..."
Since when did Valentino ever direct musicals? You watch with a mixture of confusion and wonder as Angel Dust sings an addictive pop number tinged with horror and sadness, wondering when he had the time to rehearse this. It's painfully obvious he's singing about his toxic relationship with Valentino, and yet Valentino is eating it up anyway. Maybe that was what they were talking about in private?
Before you know it, the song is over, and Angel has been whisked away by Valentino once more, with Vox following closely behind. After a number as electrifying as that, you were sure he was going to be milked for an encore or ten.
Husk
It's been a few hours since you entered this casino, and things haven't been going too well. Not only are you definitely drunk, but you're down quite a lot of cash. And yet you stay, hoping that if you place the right bets, you'll earn it all back somehow, and this will all have been worth it.
You look up after another bad game to see a cat demon with a top hat and large wings walk in. He looks familiar, but you're not sure why. His deep voice cuts through the air as he immediately orders drinks and wins a few games. He seems like a veteran, so how come you haven't seen him before?
After a few minutes, he giggles to himself, sitting on one of the roulette tables. "Now this is where I'm meant to be,"
That would've been the end of it, but then the unexpected happens: he starts to sing.
"You know it's been such a long time since I've been out on my own..."
Your jaw drops, your surprise only heightened by your intoxication. Clearly, this man had already been drunk out of his mind to start singing some made-up song out of the blue. But then you see a few random employees start to accompany him, almost as if this had been planned. Was this some sort of nightly entertainment? You don't know, but you can't look away.
Eventually, the man has played and drunk himself stupid, and he passes out at the bar next to you. You can't decide whether to quietly clap or ask the bartender for help.
Niffty
Charlie had dragged you and Niffty to come on TV with her to try and disprove all of Vox's lies about the hotel and prove it could help redeem sinners. It...hadn't been going great. Every word you two said was being twisted to make Charlie and the hotel look bad.
Charlie was clearly getting frustrated, and you were, too. In a last-ditch effort, you pull Niffty behind the news desk (or on it, rather), but she freezes on camera. Charlie tells her the camera is just a giant roach and to explain why she loves the hotel. You don't really expect it to go anywhere, to be honest.
But then, a giant smile spread across Niffty's face, and words began flying out of her mouth...only she was...singing them?
"There's an endless stream of trash and filth and hundreds of bugs! If you love the stench of jizz, wait till you smell our rugs, 'cause people barf and piss and come on them a ton, and when they do, I get to go and CLEAN IT UP!"
You almost fall off your chair in surprise. Where in Hell did all of THAT come from?! You're left reeling as Niffty goes on and on about cleaning the hotel.
When Charlie eventually interjects and tells her to "help differently", you expect it to be over. But that's before the entire newsroom changes into something much brighter and...cartoonier. It almost looked like...an anime?
Niffty is singing in what you presume is Japanese, and you're left stumbling, feeling like you're on drugs. It eventually ends, and both you and Charlie drop your heads on the desk, with Niffty smiling none the wiser. You shouldn't have agreed to this...for multiple reasons.
Baxter
Baxter has a habit of swiping items from around the hotel for projects, often without even asking or saying he's taking them. So when you need to use your stapler but find it's missing, you immediately suspect him first.
You knock three times on the door to his lab. No response. You knock again. No response. You knock a frustrated "skunk in the barnyard, P.U.", a grimace on your face.
You give up. "Baxter! I know you have my stapler! What are you even doing with it?!"
You press your ear up to the door, expecting to hear the sounds of machinery or toiling. But instead, you hear...singing?
In a surprisingly melodious voice, Baxter is singing about science and the joys of it and how his inventions give his life purpose. You're severely confused, wondering if this is how he spends his time when he's not stealing your shit.
As tempted as you are to keep listening, you have shit to do, so with enough force to break your knuckles, you knock again. "BAXTER!" you yell.
The singing stops, and the door opens. "Sheesh! Do you have to scream?!"
"I knocked and called your name, like, ten times! Or were you too busy singing to hear me?"
"I...you...heard that?"
"Yes? What were you even singing?"
"That...is classified information,"
You don't have time to beg him for that information. "Can I just have my stapler back, please? I won't tell. Promise,"
He rolls his eyes and hands it to you. "Fine. Now begone!"
He doesn't have to tell you twice.
Alastor
You strolled around Pentagram City, not searching for anything in particular, just for something to do. The day had been pretty boring so far, and you were looking for some way to spice it up.
You happened to walk past an electronics store, and all of a sudden, the TVs flashed on. You instantly recognized the face on the screens: Vox, the famous CEO of VoxTek.
His charismatic voice rambled on: "Top of the hour, and we're discussing a certain has-been who has been spotted cavorting around town after a seven-year absence! Did anybody miss him? Did anybody notice? More on tonight's program!"
You were intrigued. You decided to stick around and watch, Vox's smooth-talking voice pulling you in. You were a bit confused as to why he sometimes started singing, and even why his talking seemed so rhythmic, but mostly you were curious about the contents. The radio demon? Back? Now that was a story.
But then, the lone radio sitting next to the TVs in the window turned on with seemingly no source of power. "Salutations! Good to be back on the air! Yes, I know it's been a while since someone with style treated Hell to a broadcast. Sinners rejoice!"
That voice was all too familiar. He really WAS back. And...he was singing, too? It was almost like this was some sort of song battle. You and the crowd that had formed around you couldn't look away.
By the time their battle had concluded, the power had gone out across Pentagram City, and you were left standing in the dark, wondering what in Hell just happened.
Lucifer
You'd honestly never expected Lucifer to actually show up at the hotel, and yet here he was, the King of Hell himself, looking at his daughter's project with...was it confusion? Contempt? Skepticism? You couldn't quite tell.
Already, things were a bit tense, as he and Alastor exchanged some bitter words, but Charlie was eager to move on, introducing her dad to you and everyone else. He just gave you an empty smile, and you wondered whether you were supposed to feel insulted or appreciative that he had looked at you.
Suddenly, the chandelier hanging from the ceiling fell, causing all of you to jump back, except for Lucifer, who just laughed brusquely. "All right, then...ha ha!"
Before you knew it, Lucifer was singing, all hesitations seemingly cast aside and his theatrics shining through. You wondered where this even came from; he'd seemed so...reserved? Like he wasn't sure what to think? And where were all of these outfits coming from? You supposed that with infinite power came infinite possibilities. And you had to admit it was all rather impressive.
But then, with no warning, Alastor butted in, equally theatrical and seemingly trying to one-up Lucifer. It wasn't long before they began to bicker again, only this time through song.
But before their sing-fighting could result in an actual fight, a random woman burst through the door, singing as well. Lucifer voiced your exact thoughts with just one word: "Who?" But he forgot to say, "Where did that whole song even come from?"
Sir Pentious
You were one of the seraphim, and like the rest of Heaven, you were deeply worried about Hell's threat of war. When Sera had told you and your fellow angels that she must go pray, although you were desperate to hear an answer from her, you knew it was wise to give her the space.
But before you could turn to leave, you noticed someone slip into the private prayer room she'd gone into. Was that...Sir Pentious, the redeemed soul? Although you knew it wasn't wise, you quietly followed, curious as to why he was going in there and even getting ready to scold him.
You can hear soft talking from outside, and as you peek in, you see Sir Pentious and Sera discussing the threat to Heaven. Sera is clearly distressed, not interested in talking with Pentious. After all, how could he possibly understand what she was going through? How could these souls possibly become good if they were willing to rebel against Heaven?
You expect Pentious to reasonably nod his head and leave. What you don't expect is for him to start singing.
"Humans are afraid, all of us, all the time. Mortality's a blade, swinging with no reason, no rhyme..."
It takes everything within you not to blow your cover. Was he...trying to sing his thoughts to her? What was he thinking? And where did this song even come from? You were certain Sera would ask him to leave.
But then she started singing as well: "In the battle with Adam, you feared your death, but fear didn't drive you to wickedness..."
By God...it was working. Pentious had gotten through to Sera...through song. You knew the power of music was divine and holy, but you'd never expected it to work like this.
You were so enraptured that you almost forgot you were technically eavesdropping, so when Pentious and Sera emerged from the room, you scrambled out of their way.
Cherri Bomb
It was incredibly obvious to everyone around her that Cherri Bomb was not taking Sir Pentious's death well. Everyone, that is, but her. So when she ran off after you, Husk, and Angel Dust brought it up to her, you couldn't help but feel bad, even if she was acting aloof. She was grieving, if unconventionally so, and you were doing your best to respect that.
She didn't return for a while, and you were starting to get worried. You decided to take the initiative and head out to search for her. You expected to find her at a club or bar, but before you could start for any of those places, you hear a familiar voice echoing from the rooftops.
"Can you hear me callin' from way the fuck down here? Those golden days of brawlin' were the best of all my years!"
You instantly recognized Cherri Bomb's voice. Was she...singing? And who was she singing about? It didn't take you long to piece together that she was singing about Pentious, her guard completely down now that she thought no one from the hotel was there to see her.
She ran across the rooftops of Hell, singing about how much fun she used to have battling Pentious and how much she missed it. It was...definitely an unconventional way to show affection, but it was surprisingly endearing, especially coming from someone like her.
You couldn't enjoy it for too long, however, as you had to duck when she threw one of her bombs in her direction, clearly not seeing you. You couldn't hide your yelp.
"Huh? Wait...what the fuck are you doing here?"
You sheepishly explain that you'd been out to find her, and that the hotel was worried about her.
She predictably brushed off your concerns. "Pfft, don't worry, mate! I can handle myself! Wait...how long have you been out here?"
For the sake of her ego, you decide to lie and say not that long.
She seemed suspicious, but didn't question you any further. "Good. 'Cause, uh...it doesn't matter. Let's go back,"
You agree, smiling knowingly to yourself. You hoped for Cherri's sake, you would find some way to see Pentious again.
Vox
As one of Vox's many assistants, you spent more time with him than the average employee (aside from Valentino and Velvette), and so you often noticed things about him that others did not. So when Vox began to develop his fixation on taking over Heaven, you were one of the first to notice just how much it was affecting his mental state. Ever since Alastor had returned, he'd seemed different, but this was definitely an escalation.
Eventually, things got to the point where both Alastor and Lucifer had been captured, and you couldn't help but be nervous about the path going forward. How far was Vox really willing to take this? Usually, you held your tongue when it came to your boss's crazier ideas, but you just couldn't do that in good conscience when it came to this. So you decide to go talk to him.
You expect to walk in on him running calculations or sending emails, or something involving further planning. What you do not expect to walk in on is him...dancing and singing.
"To shine brighter, brighter than the heavens and the skies above! You'll be brighter, going supernova, all the eyes look up! Brighter!"
Vox is dancing around his office with theatrical flair, and on the screens behind him, you see flashing images of blood and murder. The whole thing is quite the sight to behold. You're so shocked that you don't move from your position in front of your door.
It takes a minute before Vox finally spots you, and when he does, he's completely caught off guard. "Wh...what the fuck?! How long have you been standing there?!"
You decide to just be honest, as you know he can easily tell when you lie. "Um...for a few minutes now, sir,"
"Oh," His screen flushes an electric blue. He's clearly embarrassed but trying to hide it. "Listen. You saw absolutely NOTHING. Got it?"
You nod. "Got it, sir,"
"So, uh..." He clears his throat. "What did you come in to talk about?"
Valentino
Working for Valentino meant you were not encouraged to use your brain. Your body was all that mattered. And yet, even an unthinking whore like you could put two and two together and realize that something was going on between Vox and Valentino.
For starters, Vox had always been a sort of calming presence for Valentino; when he was having one of his freakouts, you always prayed that Vox would come in to calm him down before things got too ugly. But now, every time Vox stopped by the studio, there was tension hanging in the air between them. It was off.
In addition, whenever he knew Vox was going to show up, or if he dropped by unannounced, Valentino made you and your fellow employees work ten times as hard, like he was trying to show off or prove a point. Even for performers, it was feeling very performative, and not in the way he usually aimed for.
Of course, you never said anything; it was not your place. But you couldn't help but be curious.
Valentino hadn't been around for a while, saying he was taking a break and ordering you and your employees to stay in one of his lounges until he got back. So you were all sitting around, relaxing, stretching, fixing your hair and nails, and, of course, gossiping.
Suddenly, you hear something upstairs, a sharp, familiar sound cutting through the air. You all stop what you're doing and listen.
"Val, don't be dramatic! He's just a man! He's being rude 'cause he's stressed out trying to do his master plan!"
There was no mistaking it. That was your tough, no-nonsense boss absolutely belting his heart out like a princess from an animated movie. And you all knew who it was aimed at.
"Is...is he singing...about Vox?" you stage-whisper to the others.
"Oh, my God, he totally is!" one of your friends replies. "That's actually insane!"
You all listen intently, giggling, and when you hear Velvette join him, your reactions only intensify, the excitement only dying down once you hear Valentino's familiar footsteps.
"All right, break's over. Let's start from the top-" Valentino stops himself when he notices the looks on your faces. "What the fuck are you all so excited about?"
You decide to take one for the team. "Nothing, boss,"
He squints at you. "Really? Hmm...you better not be lying to me," For a second, you swear he looks a little worried. But it doesn't last long. "Ah, whatever,"
Velvette
Vox had been hesitant about Velvette going to the overlord meeting by herself, insisting that she bring her assistant along. After some squabbling, Velvette finally (and reluctantly) agreed. And so you found yourself sitting amongst some of the most powerful demons in Hell, including Alastor, whose very presence was enough to make you squirm. Velvette caught you looking nervous, whispering in your ear, "Don't fucking make me look bad, bitch,"
When Carmilla Carmine started the meeting, addressing Velvette, things immediately got tense, only getting more heated when Velvette threw the severed head of an angel onto the meeting table. You hadn't even seen her bring that in. Everyone started whispering to each other, and Velvette insinuated that Carmilla had been the one to kill the angel. You were ready to be kicked out, thinking about how you were going to explain this to Vox, but something unexpected interrupted your thoughts.
"You better show some respect! Check your behavior! No one speaks to Zestial that way! Did you expect us to sit back and take your insolent, brazen display?"
Was...was Carmilla singing some sense into Velvette? You could only sit slack-jawed, waiting for Velvette to mock her or leave, but instead...she responded in turn.
"You got it twisted! I'm not the one who needs a new attitude!"
You watched in shock and awe as Velvette flexed and finessed Carmilla with a catchy, hip-hop sort of flair, riling her up until the meeting was called off entirely.
As the two of you walked out, you decided you had to say something. "Um...Velvette, ma'am...forgive me if this isn't my place, but...why were you and Miss Carmine...singing to each other?"
Velvette gave you a look. "Don't get it twisted, babe. She started singing to me, so I just had to one-up her,"
"Ah...I see," You didn't, but you knew better than to argue with her.
Adam
As one of Adam's exorcist angels, you'd been tasked with standing guard while he met with the princess of Hell, a duty you took very seriously. You knew enough about the citizens of Hell to know this could go very badly, and you were on high alert.
So you were surprised to see that Lucifer's daughter was...actually pretty nice. A bit naïve, maybe, but nothing like the demon scum you'd encountered before. You silently watched as she tried to reason with Adam, with Adam clearly not interested in doing so.
You expected the meeting to end quickly, as it seemed no progress was being made. That is, until the princess started...singing?
"I know Hell's population is out of control! It's a bad situation, it's taking a toll!"
Huh. It seemed as though, since she wasn't able to get her point across with just words, the princess had turned to music. That was...unexpected.
You had a feeling Adam would not be a fan of this approach, laughing her off for pulling "some princess bullshit", as he'd probably put it. What you didn't expect was for him to respond with music as well.
"Lemme stop you right there, save us all precious time..."
It took all of your discipline not to completely lose your composure as Adam began an electric rock number dedicated to completely tearing apart the princess's idea of redemption. It was definitely impressive, although you had to wonder if he'd been preparing this for a while now.
When he eventually got the princess to leave, he didn't even acknowledge what had just happened. "Welp, now that that bullshit's finally over, let's get the fuck outta here!"
You decided to speak up. "Um...sir?"
"Hmm? What?"
"Your, um...your song..."
"It was pretty fucking cool, right?! Yeah, that was all off the dome, 'cause, y'know, I'm just that fucking awesome!"
You nodded. "Yes...you definitely are, sir," And, well, you weren't lying.
Lute
When Abel came running to you, one of Heaven's trusted council members, with a panicked look on his face, you immediately assumed the worst. "Abel? What's wrong? Has something happened?"
"I..." Abel wrung his hands, clearly nervous. "I just...I was trying to get into my dad's office to get some of his stuff, but Lute is...well...she's not doing great?"
"I see," You thought for a moment. "Perhaps we should give her some time, unless, of course, you need something urgently?"
"Well...it's not exactly urgent. It's more just...I dunno...maybe it's not my place to worry..."
"It's all right, sir," Abel made a face at the title. "I'll go assess the situation,"
He sighed with relief. "Thank you so much,"
You made your way over to what was once Adam's office and was now slated to become Abel's office. Of course, there would need to be some renovations, but that was not Heaven's top priority at the moment.
You knocked on the door. "Miss Lute? May I come in?" No response. "Miss Lute? Lute? Are you in there?"
You thought you could hear her voice, so you peeped through the keyhole. What you saw was enough to make you gasp in shock.
Lute was angrily flying around the room, digging her claws into every surface she could fly, shattering glass, and perhaps most strangely of all, she was...singing?
"Storm's coming, I can see the clouds! No running's gonna save you now, and hard rain is gonna fall down like gravity, like gravity!"
Was this Lute's way of expressing her very obvious anger at not being appointed as the leader of the exorcists? That was the only explanation you could think of, although it seemed very unbecoming of someone in her position.
As rattled as you are, you realize you have no choice but to open the door. So you wait until she's back on the ground before doing so. Her eyes instantly lock onto you.
"What?!" she growled.
You clear your throat. "Miss Lute, might I ask what you're doing in here? Because I was told by General Abel that he couldn't get in here to retrieve his father's belongings because you were in here doing...something," You look around. "Not to mention...I don't remember this office looking quite so...dilapidated,"
Lute just grunted and walked off. You couldn't find it in yourself to chastise her, deciding it was just something you were going to have to deal with later. You had bigger fish to fry.
Abel
Ever since Abel had been appointed as the new leader of the exorcists, you, one of his closest angel friends, had noticed an obvious change in him. He had always been chill, if a little self-conscious at times, but now he was full-on neurotic, struggling to finish a sentence. The weight of his newfound responsibility was clearly weighing on him greatly, and you hated seeing your friend like this. You reminded him that you were there for him, but you weren't sure if he could really hear you.
You and your friend group decide to spend the day together, hoping it'll help Abel unwind a bit. You go to his new office, knocking on the door gently, only to be met with no response. Weird. He usually answered the door very quickly. You knock again. Nothing. You wonder if he's asleep, so you press your ear to the door. You hear a soft voice...Abel's voice. He's...singing, and playing his guitar.
You can faintly make out the words; it's not a song you're familiar with. It's something he's written himself, something about his struggles to fill his father's shoes and how he misses him even though his father never liked him all that much. His voice is quivering, and your heart shatters. You wished he didn't have to feel all that pain.
You don't want to interrupt him, so you wait until he's finished before knocking again. He hears you this time and quickly opens the door.
"O-oh! H-hey, you guys! Wh-what's up? How, uh...how long have you been waiting here? I'm so sorry, I must've not heard-"
"Abel, it's fine," you reassure him. "We just wanted to see if you wanted to spend the day together. We know you've been stressed out lately, and we thought it might do you some good to go out! If you're all right with that, of course,"
Abel's smile was soft, a quiet expression of gratitude. "I...I think I would like that. Thanks, you guys,"
"Of course, Abel," You don't bring up his heartfelt song, even though you found it quite beautiful. If Abel wanted to confide in you about that, you trusted he would do it on his own time.
