An Update
A lot has happened in our worlds in the last few months and we’ve been really slow to relay these things to everyone else. Life has just been real hectic. Let’s start with the biggest thing.
We recorded a record. It’s mixed and will be getting mastered real soon. It’s going to be a lengthy EP. We will be putting it out digitally and on tape some time this summer. So keep an eye out for that.
Now to the other big thing…
We are a two member band at the moment and we won’t be playing shows until the fall at the earliest. Harold and Sam have moved away and me and Eric are staying in Athens. The dynamic of playing in a band in college town is incredibly strange because at the end of every year some of your best friends move hundreds of miles away and that’s where Eric and I are finding ourselves right now. This being said, we are still a band. This has happened before and it may happen again someday. Nine people have played a show with Ghost Stories with Eric and I being the only two original members. This doesn’t spell the end. We’re working on new material for this and our home recording project ladybird. constantly.
Finally, Thank you all for your support and patience. We really can’t wait for everyone to hear the record. Stay low.

ATHENS, OHIO: DIY’s Hidden Gem
There’s a line in a The World Is A Beautiful Place song called “Gig Life” that goes, “Not sure where I’ll be next, maybe Texas or Athens, OH, Philadelphia, PA.” More likely than not, the majority of listeners were thinking, “Where in the hell is Athens Ohio… and why the hell is a band from Connecticut singing about it?” Athens happens to be the home of Ohio University, a frequented tour stop for any band starting out in the DIY punk scene. I know it sounds hard to believe, and obviously Athens does not get visited as much as the essential DIY scenes like Philly or Scranton or Brooklyn. I mean, how could it? It is middle of nowhere southeastern Ohio, but somewhere in the middle of the middle of nowhere big things are happening. Athens truly is the hidden gem of the DIY scene.
