TFW you recall an intense memory from your past, remember your main quest, but then get immediately sidetracked by some shiny mushrooms
The Hupia [Taíno mythology]
According to the Taíno people in the Caribbean region, each person has a goeiza, a living spirit. When the person dies, this spirit turns into a Hupia, a dead spirit. The Hupias of dead people usually pass on to a faraway paradise, but sometimes, for whatever reason, they fail to do so and stay behind to haunt the world of the living.
A Hupia is usually depicted as a faceless humanoid being, but they are also able to take on a human form, sometimes the form a loved one to trick victims. When impersonating humans, they do not have a navel, which is their defining feature. During the day, Hupias sleep or hide, and during the night, they come out to haunt and eat guava fruit.
You’ll notice that these images aren’t accurate to the description at all, but I make do with what I can find on the internet since I’m not much of an artist myself.

Day 25 Goddess
For this one I chose the Taíno Cemi Atabey, our Mother of the provincial waters. One of my favorites from the Taíno culture of my home in Borikén.
