The mission was going well, too well. They got what they needed, eliminated who they had to, and left. They made it to the safe house in one piece with only Ghost having a gash on his calf. Nothing he couldnât handle. So of course when Johnny gets the message over the radio that evac wonât be able to arrive til the next morning, it isnât a surprise.Â
Now both men sit on the old couch of the dusty cabin, waiting everything out. Johnny was relaxed as much as you could be on a mission. He was antsy but calm. Using a book that Gaz recommended to him to calm his running mind a bit. On the opposite end of the couch was a different story, Ghost was coiled like a viper ready to strike. His muscles tensed as much as they could, probably hurting at this point. He was trying to calm down but every noise or creak sent his mind on edge and his senses spiraling. He wished he had some music or anything to drown it all out but he forgot it on the heli coming in.Â
Ghost fidgeted with his fingers, still covered by gloves. While Johnny had long ditched his gear after securing the perimeter, Ghost was still in a few pieces. Gloves, vest, mask, and his holster wasnât far, just lying on the table near him. He was not in the mindset to calm down.Â
âHey, Lt.â Johnnyâs accented voice cut through the chilled air like a knife. Only receiving a grunt in response. âYou alright? You look like youâre bout ta pop.âÂ
âIâm fine, Sargent.â Ghost forces out.Â
âAh no niceites, Ghost?â Johnny chuckles. Again, only getting a grunt in response. â Seriously though, ya leg bothering you?â Johnny says, setting his book to the side.Â
Ghostâs eyes refuse to meet Johnnyâs as he shrugs, âItâs fine.âÂ
Johnny looked over Ghostâs form, analysing his form, âWhy donât you take your mask off, Ghost?â He says gently. Too gently for a Sargent to speak to his lieutenant.
âMy mask? No.â Ghost says immediately without thought.Â
âAh come on. Just try it, okay? Iâve seen ya face.âÂ
âIt ainât about you seeing my face, Johnny.â
âThen what is it, Lt?âÂ
âJust leave it, Sargent.â
âNo I wonât, Leave it, Sergeant. Something is wrong with ya. And I plan ta sniff it out.âÂ
âOh really? Howâs that?âÂ
âCome on, Ghost.â Johnny sets his book to the side and moves a bit closer. âTake a breath.â
âFine, Fine. Iâll be more stern.â Johnny says standing up. âArms up, Ghost.â
âWha-â Ghost goes to protest but Johnny physically lifts up his arms.
âKeep them there, bairn.â He says more gently as he removes Ghostâs vest then peels off his gloves.
âJohnny this is not the time or place for-âÂ
âNo, shush lad. You are about to stress yourself ta death. We are safe here. We will leave and be home taâmorrow. Let me help you.â
Ghost quiets and looks at Johnny with an angry look before calming, âFine..â
âThere ya go. Now Iâll let ya take off yer mask yerself.â Johnny says, backing up. âThereâs a shower here. You need one and itâll calm ya down.â He goes to leave but feels a hand on his arm in a death grip.
âDonât leave..âÂ
Johnny smiles slightly, âThen come with, wee one.â He helps Ghost up, helping him walk over to the bathroom, setting him on the closed toilet lid. âNow, can ya wash yerself?â
âDonât leave..â
âI wonât, Simon..â Johnny sighs and kneels down, âIâll stay and watch the door okay? I just want ta give ya some privacy, understand?â
Ghost nods, staring at Johnny through his balaclava.
âGood, good. Get washed up, bairn.â Johnny pats GHostâs shoulder gently and starts up the shower. âIâll be right outside, call if ya need me.â
After 30 minutes or so, Johnny was starting to get worried about his friend. He had had time to set up the living room for him. Extra blankets, pillows, and even some snacks he found in the pantry that luckily werenât expired. He had even found some sweats that may fight the hulking body of the lieutenant.Â
Johnny knocks on the door lightly, âHey Simon, ya still there?â
No answer but he hears the shower turn off and some shuffling. The door opens and a wet Simon wrapped in a rough towel stood there looking down at Johnny, no balaclava. Wet blonde hair sticking to his cleaned face. He says nothing, but at this point Johnny can feel the shift.Â
âAh there ya are, wee one.â Johnny smiles. âLetâs get ya dried up and dressed, yeah?â
And with that, Simon was dried, hair brushed, and dressed in sweats. Johnny leads him back to the living room and lays him down on the couch. Simon was clingy though, pulling Johnny down onto the couch with him. He holds onto the man, burying his face into Johnnyâs chest. Johnny didnât fight it. He held the quiet babe, rubbing his back to keep him calm.Â
It was quiet for a long time. Just the two cuddling, Johnny had grabbed his book and started to read silently. That was until Simon poked the book gently.Â
âHm? Yes, bairn?âÂ
No response, just another poke.Â
âMy book?â
A nod.
âOh well itâs not really good for little ears, my dear.â Johnny thought for a moment. âDonât think thereâs books here that are made for you, but what about the TV?â
A shake of the head, poke of the book.Â
âHm..okay. I can try to..make it for yer ears, lamb.â
With that, Johnny began reading this war torn book, censoring certain parts for the sweet quiet baby in his arms. He knew Simon didnât care. He was almost never fully a babe, always floating in between âjust in caseâ, but it felt so wrong to read adult things to a wee one even if the wee one could handle it. He did continue to read especially when he could feel Simon relax in his arms. He only stops when he hears soft snores and looks down to see a sleeping Simon.Â
He smiles and sets the book to the side. He pulls the blanket up more to Simonâs shoulders and wraps his arms around him. âGoodnight, wee one..sleep well.â Johnny stayed awake for most of the night, keeping watch. He knew in the morning he would have his gruff lieutenant back but right now, he has his sweet baby that he will protect with his life.Â
It was a long day at base. While it wasnât gunshots and extractions, the paperwork and idiots were enough to drive any sane man crazy. Mistake after mistake that could have been avoided made by people that knew better. Price was done with everything and everyone by the time he made it home. So when he opened the door to see his precious little baby sitting and watching cartoons, his heart couldnât help but drop. He hated that he felt this way. A looming feeling of another responsibility. He knew that it was wrong and it really wasnât his babyâs fault but he couldnât help the feeling.Â
He grunted a hello as he set his things down, unlacing his boots at the door. This caused his baby to swing their head around with an excited smile and a happy, âHello Papa!âÂ
That simple gesture brought a smile to his face despite the exhaustion taking over his body.Â
âHey Dove..â he said weakly.Â
Even in little space, his dove could read Price like a picture book. So when they came bounding over with that adorable little pout on their face and arms crossed, Price knew he had be caught.
âPapa upset.âÂ
Price looks at them, blinking a bit before answering with a forced smile, âPapa is okay, dove.âÂ
They shake their head, âNuh uh. Papa no lie. That against the rules.â
That caused Price to let out a soft chuckle, âI guess it is.â He ruffles their hair before walking with them further into the house. âPapa just had a rough day, sweetheart. He just needs rest.âÂ
They nod a bit, âI can helps Papa!â They grab his hand and drag him to the shared bathroom.
âOh you can, dove?â Price says, a small smile staying on his face. âHow do you suppose you can do that?â
âSpa Day!âÂ
They lean over and plug up the tub before starting it up with hot water, adding a little bit of bubbles and epsom salts. âPapa get in!â
Price chuckles, âHold on, hold on. I canât be getting in there with my clothes, now can I?â
It isnât long til heâs in the tub. His muscles relax at the steaming water and salts. His Dove sits out of the bath, watching closely. âPapa need help?â
âNo, dove. Papa is okay right now.â he says softly.
It is silent for a bit as Price relaxes and they watch, brain thinking of ways to help.Â
âPapa wanna talk about its?â They say suddenly.
Price lets out a sigh, âJust dumb people, baby. Makes Papaâs day a little harder.â
âWant me to beat them ups?â
âNo. No Baby. Papa can handle them.â He says with a smile, âTheyâll be getting extra training drills next week.â He says with a teasing tone, booping their nose with a bubble covered finger.Â
They giggle, wiping off the bubbles gently, âGoods. They deserves it.â They huff out. After another stretch of silence, they speak again, âPapa hungry?â
âI could eat.â Price says, closing his eyes, âBut donât you cook anything. Youâre too tiny.â
âNuh uh! I big nough to cooks!â
âNo you arenât, baby. Let me rest and we can cook together, okay?âÂ
They huff, nodding. âOtay, Papa..âÂ
âGood baby.â He hums, âYou have a good day, sweetheart?âÂ
âMhm. No work today so had a baby day.â they say, leaning my head on the side of the tub.Â
âGood, you needed a baby day.âÂ
âDoes Papa need a baby day?âÂ
Price chuckles, âNo, dove. Papa doesn't do baby days.âÂ
âHm..what is a baby day but for Papas?âÂ
âWell Papas don't get care days, baby. Papas take care of babies all the time.âÂ
âBut baby can take care of Papa sometimes. Papa needs it.â They say, smiling.Â
Price looks over at me, face twisted in thought. It was a hard concept for him. He was always taking care of others. His family, his soldiers, his love. There wasnât much time for others to take care of him. The thought was nice though. Made him tear up slightly but it was quickly gone.Â
âI guess so, dove, but that isnât your responsibility especially when youâre so tiny.âÂ
They huff, âPapa I can gib you cuddles and watch your shows wif you and help wif dinner. You donât have to do it all on your owns.â
Price sighs and shakes his head slightly, âI suppose youâre right, sweetheart. Papa..can let you do that much.âÂ
âYay!â I squeal happily, quickly grabbing his towel then his pjs, underwear and pj pants. âLets go make dinner!â
Price is out of the tub and dressed shortly after and they are both off to the kitchen to cook dinner. Something simple, nothing that takes too much time. And before they both know it, dinner is finished, eaten, dishes washed, and they are snuggling on the couch with a movie. It was an older movie. Price got to pick since it was his bad day.Â
Price sat there, eyes on the movie but his brain wandered elsewhere. His anxieties got the better of him and he spoke softly so as not to spook his little, âHey dove, um I want you know that even when Papaâs tired or upset, he doesnât mind taking care of you, okay?â
They look up at him from their position laying on his lap, âI know, Papa..â
âGood. And you know taking care of you helps me just as much as it helps you right? You are the easy part of my life even during your worst moments.â He punctuates with his hand running through their hair gently, â I love you, Baby.âÂ
They smile and nuzzle into his stomach, âLove you too, Papa!âÂ
Author Note: It's been a bit since I've been able to write due to how busy everything irl has been. This fic and probably my next few might be about those types of things. Sorry for my absence! Hope you enjoy!

Today was the day I was supposed to relax. I did what I was told. I rested in my bed. I ate what I was supposed to when I was supposed to. I took my medicine on time, but all of it didn't matter now. I felt as if I could pass out at any moment. I tried my breathing exercises and every self-soothing thing my therapist told me to. Nothing helped. Nothing made it stop. The more my breathing faltered, the more I panicked, the more it felt like I was going to die.
I was crying now, breaths fast and heavy. My head felt light and my vision darkened. My eyes squeezed shut as I sob uncontrollably. I felt so helpless, so weak for this random outburst that probably wasn't as random as I thought.
I barely realized when Johnny made it home. I barely recognized when his firm hands grasped my shoulders as he tries to soothe me with words that went on semi-deaf ears. I mumbled my responses, not even knowing if I made sense to him in this moment.
I nod as I hear his gentle ask if he could hold me. I cry into his t-shirt, coating the fabric with tears, snot, and drool. I apologize for it over and over again, even though Johnny doesn't acknowledge it.
I don't know how long it was before I finally calmed down enough to recognize my surroundings. When my loud sobs turned to soft hiccups, Johnny lifted me to the bed and set me on the edge. With a soft "Stay", he leaves only to come back with a warm wet rag.
"Just wiping your face, bonnie.." He says as he carefully rids my face of all the dried tears and snot. "Do you wan ta talk about it?"
I shake my head quickly, sniffling. He only nods back before running his hand over my cheek. "Let's get ya changed, yeah? You wan a hoodie? Onesie?"
I mutter out a small, "Both..and socks pease?"
Johnny smiles softly, "Of course, a laochag..stay here." He pats my leg as he walks away to our closet, soon returning to me with the new clothes in hand. I notice he changed out of his ruined shirt as well.
Once in my new clothes, Johnny rests his hands on my knees, rubbing soft circles. "I know ya don' wan ta talk about it, bonnie but can I ask some questions just ta make sure that yer okay?"
I nod softly. He nods back and smiles, "Alrighty, are ya hurt?"
Head Shake
"Did something happen ta cause it?"
Head Shake
"Alright, one more. What do ya need right now?"
I look at him, thinking incredibly hard about it but no answer forms in my head.
"Ah how old are ya right now, a laochag? Can you show me ya fingers?" He says with a warm smile.
I think hard and look at my fingers before raising a couple.
"Ah I see, okay, well Papa's got ya. I know what ya need." He hums as he scoops me up and brings me to our living room. He plops me on the couch with a soft blanket before turning on the TV to a children's channel. "Papa will be right back, 'right?"
He leaves me to rest on the couch going to the kitchen. I watch the cartoons on TV like they were the only thing that mattered. I hug the blanket close, fingers rubbing the plush material absentmindedly. I barely notice Johnny slide in next to me and pull me close. He hands over my sippy filled with my favorite drink before fully pulling me in his lap to hold me.
There we sat silently. Just watching the TV while he rubs grounding circles into my back. I feel my eyes getting heavy as I finish my drink, Johnny taking the cup and setting it on the floor before I drop it.

First Part
_________________________________________
Todayâs adventure felt like it was personally designed for you to abstract. Everything seemed to be going wrong in the most fantastic of ways. First, you were separated from the group completely as you all wandered through a maze. You went through the tall hedges being bombarded over and over by terrifying things from your time before you joined this digital hellscape. You hadnât even reached the end by the time the others all completed the task. You were stuck, curled in a ball as your mind raced trying to escape the horrors. You had tried running but were met with barrier after barrier. You tried to fight but the system was stronger, so now your brain did the only thing it knew to do even though it was the worst thing possible at the time. Regress. So there in this maze, you sat back against the leafy walls, crying and trying to ignore all the maze was throwing at you.Â
________________
All the others stood around at the end of the maze, confused on why you hadnât made it. You were normally fairly good at Caineâs games. Ragatha suggested that they go back into the maze and try to find you. Jax and Pomni werenât so keen on that idea, both for separate reasons.Â
âTheyâll be fiiine,â Jax assures, rolling his eyes as he lays back on the ground, âLetâs just take this opportunity to rest!â
âI dunno, Ragatha. I donât really want to go back there with what I saw. Iâm sure theyâre okay. Letâs just wait for a moment.â Pomni says, looking at the maze as she rings her hands in a nervous fashion.Â
Without warning, Kinger began moving to the exit that is supposed to be yours. Everyone looks at him confused.Â
âKinger! What are you doing?â Ragatha calls to him as he disappears into the maze.Â
True be told, Kinger only walked into the maze because he thought he saw a cool bug inside the maze, but once he was in it, his mind cleared a bit to the dimness. Kinger walked through the maze, looking around and calling out to see if anyone was there. That was until he heard little sobs coming from his left. He turned the corner to see you. His eyes widen a bit as he makes his way to you, gloved hands carefully coming to rest on your shoulder.Â
This made you panic and scream at Kinger, not realizing it was him. You kick and hit him, trying to get him away, tears flowing from your eyes.
He flinches slightly, âWow, hey hey itâs me!â He awkwardly laughs.
You look at him, tears streaming down your eyes. Head pounding and a slight static sound filling your head and ears. âO-oh..it you..â
âYou look terrified, Y/N.â Kinger says, settling down to sit with you.Â
You nod, a small whimper escaping your lips as you look down the leafy halls towards the darkness that seemed to pull back at the presence of Kinger, who was studying your body movements silently. Everything felt so scary, so big compared to you. Your body shakes even with the new comforting presence next to you. Your hands grip your hair tight, pulling slightly to try and ground yourself.
Kingerâs eyes soften with understanding as if he has figured something out, pulling your hands from your head, holding them as he speaks, âYouâre a little?âÂ
You nod, looking at him confused cause you thought you had told him before. You shake it off and lean on him. He wraps his hands around you, pulling you close. He hums softly, letting you hide yourself from the scary maze in his chest. He pets your head gently, rocking slightly, hoping this would help even if it was just a little bit. You two sit there for what seems like hours, him just holding you close until he feels your breath even out a bit and your tears subside.
âAre you okay to walk, little one?â Kinger says, âOr do I need to carry you?â
You whimper and cling to him closer, signalling your choice, which makes him laugh a bit. He picks you up and holds you close. He looks at the darkness and sighs. He holds his breath, so that he glows slightly. You gasp and let out a small giggle at the glowing Kinger, feeling much better that the darkness canât get you.Â
Kinger walks you out the maze, taking shallow breaths to keep his light on even if it's dim to help you from spirling again. Before you hit the light at the end of the tunnel, Kinger sets you down. He looks a bit conflicted about leaving the darkness of the maze, but sighs before leaning down to you.Â
âOkay little one. You can..hold my hand as we leave. When we get back to the circus, Iâll take care of you more in your room or the fort okay? Just..remind me when we go.â He says softly, eyes betraying him by showing his conflict.Â
You nod, not fully understanding the gravity of his words at that point. You were just happy that this was over and you were going âhomeâ. He holds your hand as you both walk out.Â
âOh thank god! There you two are!â Ragatha says, pulling you into a hug. âAre you okay? Did you get hurt?â She says looking over your body, hands on your head.Â
âI..I fine, Ragatha!â You giggle softly. âKinger saved me!â
âKinger..saved you?â She says confused.
As you nod, you both look up at the chess piece who has now wandered off, messing with Gangle, clearly back to his normal aloof self.Â
You feel a bit of a sting at him leaving your side. You move back over to him, holding onto his cape.Â
âWell whatever happened, can we go home?!â Jax groans, annoyed. âIâm bored!âÂ
Thatâs when the portal opens to get back to the circus. All of you file in, Caine happily waiting for you all.Â
âWelcome back everyone! Good job on the maze!â Caine laughs, twirling in the air.Â
Everyone lets out a mixture of groans or sighs at his too excited demeanor, but you donât care nor pay attention to the flying set of teeth in a suit. You wanted your daddy back. You grab Kingerâs hand and lead him back to your room without a word.Â
âW-woooah.â Kinger says, eyes shifting their position in an amusing manner, â Where are we heading?â He whispers, eyes shifting back and forth as if we are keeping a funny secret.Â
âUm well night..you two..â Pomni calls behind you.Â
You hear Jax say something snarky, but that all fades behind you as you pull Kinger into your room for some much needed little time.Â
I love Kinger soooo much!! Heâs so fun and weirdly comforting to me especially in the haunted house episode. I need more fics of him (âĽďšâĽ)
_________________________________________________
It hadnât been long since you were added to the growing cast of characters at the circus, at least it didnât feel that long. You couldnât tell the days in this place and if they even matched how long itâs been outside this insane place. Right now, it was simulated night time after a sort of fun adventure at an aquarium, Caine keeping the adventure light this time. You couldnât sleep, having fought your little space the entire time since you felt so small watching all the fishies and wandering around in such a large place mostly on your own since the rest of the crew were going around causing chaos around the place.Â
You toss and turn in your bed in your personalized room that fits your digital persona in this weird world. You sit up, whining to yourself, deciding sleep was never going to come. Pulling yourself out of the bed, you peek out of your door to make sure thereâs no danger before walking to the main room. You look around, a bit weirded out by how silent the circus was when the program was on standby. The only thing that broke the normal view of the brightly colored playground equipment that was too big for anyone to use was Kingerâs pillow fort that he constantly sat in throughout the day when we werenât on adventures. It looked insanely comfy to you, even more so in your little state. You walk up to the pile cautiously, hand opening the weird pillow door. You pause, seeing Kinger relaxing against a few pillows. His large eyes glance over at you, squinting slightly indicating a slight smile.Â
âWhat are you doing up, Y/N?â He says weirdly calm, a striking change to his normal insane demeanor.Â
âI um..couldnât sleepâ You respond shyly, your demeanor also slightly different causing Kinger to motion you in. âYou canât sleep either?â
âYes, I donât sleep that many full nights.â Kinger says as the pillow fort completely closes, leaving you both in a slightly dim bubble.Â
âSo um you seem..calm.â You say carefully as you settle next to him, leaning against the pillows.Â
âYou do too.â Kinger chuckles, âItâs the darkness.â He explains simply, seemingly not wanting to explain further.
You nod, not wanting to push since he isnât pushing your change as well. You two sit in comfortable silence. The calm silence of the fort causes you to slowly slip down into a more comfortable age. You lean on Kinger as your head fuzzes and you go to place your thumb in your mouth.Â
Kingerâs large gloved hand stops you silently, wordlessly looking for something else for you to chew. He sighs, seeing he had nothing really useful so he hands you a medium sized beetle plush. He watches you carefully making sure you do what he would like. His eyes squinting in a smile as you chew on the mandibles of the beetle. He settles back down, gloved hand resting on your shoulder and pulling you close to his chest.Â
His presence helped so much even if he didnât know it. While his newly calm self was a bit confusing to you, that didnât matter to you at this moment. The only thing that mattered was that for the first time in a while in this god forsaken place you felt comfort. You felt safe enough to let yourself slip and go into your happy place. You made a note that youâll have to ask Kinger if you can use his fort throughout the day when Caineâs adventures get too much. Maybe you could handle this place with this solace.
Soon, you are asleep against Kinger, head resting on his chest, feeling its rise and fall. In your sleep, you donât feel Kinger âkissâ against your head or him lifting you up and carrying you back to your own room to tuck you in. He lets you keep the beetle seeing as it calms you down. He knew heâd probably forget all this in the morning but hopefully leaving himself a note to invite you into the fort can help in some way.Â
(I wasnât sure what Kid Dean would call his caregiver. I donât feel he would use mommy or daddy, but considering his love of nicknames, heâd definitely use a nickname instead. Sooooo with that said, Y/NN is your nickname based off your name)
____________________________________________
Dean couldnât wait to get home. He was pushing the speed limit more than he probably should, but with the creeping fuzziness crawling into his brain, thereâs nothing he could do. He thought he could make it home. It had been a long hunt and an even longer drive home. After dropping Sam off at his own home, Dean felt his headspace almost rush into place. His kid self longing embrace of his carer and the comfort that only they could bring. Although he was slightly having fun due to the fast pace driving he wasnât allowed to do normally when in his headspace.Â
As he pulled into the driveway, he couldnât have parked faster. He grabbed his duffel bag and stomped up to the front door, unlocking it impatiently. As soon as the smell of vanilla and wood notes filled his nose, his brain fogged over, tears coming to his eyes. He dropped his duffel at the door and quickly searched for his carer. He looked in every room, finally finding them napping in their bed. He whimpered slightly, not wanting to wake them, but he needed comfort. He decided to just lay beside them. After clumsily getting his boots off as quietly as a little kid could, he shrugged off his jacket and layed down next to his carer, looking at their peaceful sleeping face. He smiles, hands shakingly coming up to pet their cheek softly before he fully buries his head into their chest, breathing in their scent.Â
This small gesture wakes the sleeping carer gently, their arms coming to wrap around Dean gently. Their hand comes up and runs their hand through Deanâs hair.
âWelcome home, Dean..â They say, sleepily, yawning, soon almost jumping awake when they heard Dean whimper. They look down at him, seeing the poor soft look in his eyes. âOh baby..are you small?â
âN..noâ Dean denies, voice light and childish despite his efforts.
They smile softly, placing their hand on the back of Deanâs head, resting at the base. âOh okay then. Then I guess you wouldnât want a bubble bath with a snack and cartoons after then. You know because youâre a grown up.â They tease softly.Â
Deanâs eyes widen as he sits up, huffing, âNo I want that...Please.â He says, looking away.Â
They smile and sit up, stretching, âOf course, sweetheart. Come on.âÂ
With that, Y/N takes Deanâs hand and leads him to their shared bathroom, sitting him on the closed toilet. They lean over and turn on the bath, grabbing some bubble soap adding a few drops. Deanâs eyes light up at the addition of bubbles and soft gasps exit his mouth as Y/N pulls out his bath toys.Â
âOkay, kiddo. Pick out three toys for you to play with.â They say, smiling at his excitement. Dean was careful with his choices, taking his time as he picks the best toys. Meanwhile Y/N grabs the softest towel they can find as well as a washcloth, setting them on the counter. After Dean has made the perfect choice, he puts his toys in the now full bath, proud of his decisions.Â
âGood job, kiddo. Now do you want me to bathe you or can you do it yourself?â
âUm..I got it, Y/NN..â Dean says shyly, not one for help in the bath unless heâs hurt in someway.Â
âOkay kiddo. Thatâs okay. Iâm going to get your snacks ready, okay? You gonna be a big boy and clean up?â
âMhm! I gots it!â Dean says happily.Â
âOkay baby. Just call me if you need help.â Y/N says leaving Dean to clean up himself.Â
After a lovely bath and playtime in the tub, Dean hops out, drying himself off quickly. He opens the bathroom door to see his pjs set on the floor, waiting for him. He grabs them and gets dressed, hands feeling the soft fabric of his Scooby pajamas. He runs out to the living room, where Y/N set out some snacks for the boy. Pretzels, fruit gummies, and some apples with peanut butter carefully sectioned on a plate for Dean. A sippy sitting next to it with his âjuiceâ (water with a bit of juice since Dean refuses to drink plain water).Â
Dean happily sits down, exclaiming a loud thank you towards Y/N in the kitchen, receiving an equally loud welcome. Dean grabs the remote, setting the TV on his cartoons. The loud intro of Courage the Cowardly Dog rings out as Y/N sits on the couch, letting Dean sit on the floor between their legs, head resting on the side of their knee. Y/N cards their fingers through Deanâs hair as he speaks to the TV telling the poor purple dog what to do.
Y/N smiles softly as Dean gets a bit frustrated at the TV, mumbling about how heâll beat up Eustace for scaring the dog, âItâs okay kiddo. Courage is tough. Heâll always win in the end.âÂ
âYeah but he needs a beating for hurting him.â
âI know, sweetheart. But how about a time out instead? Beating up isnât good either.â
Dean seems to contemplate that for a second, nodding. âHow old is he?â
âUm heâs old so probably in his 60sâ Y/N says, a knowing look spreading on their face.
âThen he needs 60 minutes in timeout.â Dean nods, proud of his punishment heâs declared on the fictional character.Â
âThatâs right, baby. 60 minutes. Thatâs a long time huh?â
âMhm! He deserves it though, Y/NN!â He says, huffing as the episode ends.Â
âI know. I know.â Y/N looks at the clock on the wall, pulling Dean up to his feet, âTime for bed, kiddo.â
âWhat? No! I want more cartoons.â He huffs, crossing his arms.Â
âNo kid. Itâs late and you just came home. We can play all day tomorrow. We can go to the nature trail if you want.â Y/N suggests as they are cleaning up Deanâs mess, putting everything in the kitchen.Â
Dean's eyes light up at this suggestion, âOkay! You promise?â
âYes bud, I promise. Now come on.â Y/N leads Dean over to their bedroom, laying him down on the bed before laying down to hold him close to their chest.Â
Dean cuddles up to them, smiling. His body relaxes, his breaths evening out after a while of soft humming from Y/N. Y/N soon joined him in deep slumber after kissing his forehead gently.Â

The last hunt was an absolute mess. Not only was there an unexpected demon connection to an already difficult monster, but you and Dean had gotten hurt fairly badly in the process of finding and killing the nasty thing. You had minimal scratches and cuts along your arms, but Deanâs leg was fairly hurt. Since you both were stressed over it all, it wasnât a surprise that you both were regressed the next morning.Â
It all started when you woke up and heard Dean whisper muttering little curses under his breath in the bathroom as he cleans his wound. You crawl out of bed grabbing your stuffie as well as Deanâs Scooby. You watch him struggle to wrap his leg again, mumbling tiredly. You walk over to help. Your walking a bit wobbly at best as you plop on the edge of the tub, surprising Dean who mumbles a âGood Morningâ. You huff wordlessly, pushing Scooby into his arms before trying your hand at wrapping up Deanâs injured leg.Â
âHey! I had it. Babies shouldnât be-â Dean said, his childish voice revealing his regressed mindset.Â
You shake your head, babbling a bit as you struggle as well but eventually get it on good enough. You stood, toddling a bit to Deanâs side to help up with one arm, the other holding tight to your stuffie. Dean reluctantly used you as a prop, holding Scooby in his other arm. You both make your way to the living room. Dean plops onto the couch, groaning.Â
âOuch..â He whimpers, tears welling up in his eyes due to the pain.Â
You whimper as well, hating to see Dean in such pain. You try your best to get him as comfortable as possible, limited on what you can provide due to your own mind space, setting your stuffie next to him to keep him company. You wobble to the kitchen to get breakfast. Thinking the safest thing was cereal, you do that. You pour the colorful circles into two bowls and try your best to not spill the milk as you pour. Of course you spill a bit but you can clean it later, your big brother needs his loops.Â
You carefully walk with both bowls, spoons stuck into the cereal already. As you inched forward, Dean watched you with wide eyes, praying you didnât spill any. Dean cheers and praises as you reach the couch, handing him one bowl and setting yours on the coffee table.Â
âAwesome, little guy!â Dean praises, starting to eat his food, using his arm to help you up onto the couch. He grabs the remote, always having control of the tv when you both are regressed. Heâs the older brother, of course he gets to pick. Babies canât pick good TV, he says.Â
Dean switches on the TV switching to the cartoon network which has an episode of Tom and Jerry on at that time. You grab your cereal and silently eat, listen to Dean ramble on and on about the show, explaining that babies shouldnât do what was in the show then rambling about why Tom was his favorite which got you to babble/argue that Jerry was better.Â
For hours, you two go on like this. Cartoon after cartoon on the channel. Dean talking for the both of you most of the time, especially if it was one of his favorite shows, explaining everything to you even if you fully understood. You just listened and nodded to him, amazed by all his knowledge.Â
âBubba know a lot..â You mumble as the credits play for an episode of Power Puff Girls.Â
âWell yeaaah. Iâm bigger than you, baby.â Dean says proudly.Â
âI not a baby.â You pout.
âYeah you are. You are a baby. I a big kid.â
âNoooo! I big too!â You huff.
Dean just laughs, âNo you are smaller than me. See.â Dean sits up straight, smiling.Â
You just huff, knowing heâs right. He is definitely bigger than you, both physically and mentally. You yelp, holding your stomach as it growls. It was getting dark and the two of you neglected to grab lunch.Â
âOh you hungry, little guy?â Dean watches, humming. âI have idea. Get me Sammyâs phone.âÂ
You nod and hop off the couch going to grab one of Samâs many phones, waddling back and handing it to him, curious on what heâll do. Dean taps on the phone and goes silent for a few moments before excitedly looking to you.Â
âFood be here in a second. Think you can wait that long, baby?â Dean teases.
You huff, nodding as you sit back next to him. Soon, the food arrives and the two of you feast on chicken tenders and fries and burgers and pie, of course. With all that food, you start to feel sleepy. Deanâs childish rambling and talking about the Scooby Doo villain on screen acting as a noise machine to your indepening slumber. Itâs a good hour or so until Dean even realizes you fell asleep.Â
He shifts, whimpering a bit at his leg, but he couldnât let you be uncomfortable. What kind of big brother would do that? He pulls you up, making sure you have your stuffie in your arms, setting Scooby on your head, giggling to himself slightly as he continues to watch his shows, quietly for once.Â
Oral fixation. John learned that concept soon after looking out for his teammate. He had noticed it before ever finding out about how they cope. It was subtle. Chewing on pen tops or pencils, their nails always bit down to stubs or the skin around their nails shredded. They always seemed to have something in their mouth. Gum, suckers, straws from their lunch, even their own fingers when they thought no one was looking.Â
After John began looking after his teammate while they regressed, he noticed it was worse in their little state. Fingers, sippy straws, even stuffies were not safe from his babyâs teething wrath. He started with snacks to maybe curb the need. He didnât want to spoil his babyâs appetite so that didnât last long. Then he decided to get actual baby teethers which helped after a while but didnât really solve the problem of them chewing when in public.Â
John searched high and wide for a solution and finally found it. The package arrived today and he was beyond excited to present it to his baby.Â
You sit in your quarters, bundled up in your blankets and holding your favorite stuffie. As always you absentmindedly chew on the top of the poor things head while you watch cartoons. You were enjoying your quiet time in between missions and meetings. Just as you were thinking about John joining you, here he comes, hands behind his back and a wide smile on his face.Â
âHey dove.â John says as he approaches you, removing a hand from behind his back to pet your head. âHowâs my little one doing?âÂ
You sit up quickly in his presence, giggling at his pets. You release your stuffie from your chewing as you speak, âGood, sir! What you have there?âÂ
You try to peek around Johnâs back to see what heâs holding but he shifts to continue to hide the surprise.Â
âAh ah dove. Not yet.â John chuckles, tapping your leg gently, âScoot over.â
As you comply, he plops down moving the white box to his lap. You shift and peer over, staring excitedly at the box, âThat for me?â
âYes, dove. Thatâs for you, but you have to listen to me before you can get it.â
John smiles and laughs a bit as you put on your oh so adorable serious face and nod. He continues, âThis is a very special gift and you have to make sure that it gets cleaned everyday okay?â
He smiles as you nod quietly. He opens the box and hands it over to you revealing the various different chewelry he had picked out for you. Some bracelets and some necklaces of various different toughnesses and textures. All for you to try out.
You slowly smile and quickly tackle your carer into a tight hug as a thanks, âThank you! Thank you! Thank you!â You put one of the bracelets on your arm then put one of the necklaces around your neck, immediately putting the chewy pendant into your mouth.Â
John silently praises himself for cleaning them before giving them over to you. âYouâre welcome, dovey. Iâm happy you like them.â
âI love them!â You say giggling as John sets the box on the floor.Â
He shifts and scoots you over, laying down in bed with you. He allows you to grab your stuffie and get comfortable as he turns your show back on. He pet your head gently as you both relax into each other for the rest of the night.Â
John smiles down at you as he watches you chew your new necklace, saving the poor stuffie from your biting and drool for now.Â

~Doing this job is extremely difficult for anyone, some days more than others. Your days off are the worst. Your mind has time to catch up with all the stress and worry you've had to endure over the last few weeks. You know this so you go to the one place you're safe; Ghost's office.~
---------------------
You sat in the barracks, reading a book, trying to ignore the looming thoughts in the back of your head. You whimper and set my book down, unable to read it anymore anyway. You stare up at the barren ceiling, mind becoming foggy as you disassociate lightly. You shake myself out of it and stand, quickly making your way to your Lieutenant's office, knocking lightly.
"Come in." Ghost said, British accent gruff and intimating.
You slowly pushed open the door, coming inside and closing the door behind yourself. "Ghost..." you say softly, voice rising a few octaves.
Ghost's eyes soften, making way for his softer side. He motions for you to walk over which you quickly do. He scoops you up placing you in his lap, pushing your hair out of your face. "Hey baby. You okay?" He asks, softly.
You nod a bit, burying your face into his neck, just wanting the warming comfort of his arms. Luckily, he gives it happily. His arms wrap around you holding you steadily in his lap, one hand on your back the other on your head. He leans back, humming softly.
"How small are you, luvie?"
You grunt in response, not wanting/unable to speak. This causes Simon to let out a soft but deep chuckle that you can feel deep in his chest.
"Okay baby. I understand." He says rocking back and forth slightly in his office chair before moving the hand on your head back to his computer to continue his work, while still holding your back with his other hand.
You both sat there in silence for a bit. You nuzzled him enjoying his soft back rubs. He hums softly as he works, mumbling to himself as he figures out his paperwork.
You tap his chest softly to get his attention, "Talk..pease.." you say softly as if it was a secret to be kept from the world.
This causes Simon to smile slightly as he nods, "Of course, luvie. Well, you see this form and this essay? Daddy has to make sure that everything is correct on here and move it to here." He points to the different parts of his screens to gently explain everything as simple as he's able.
You knew this process well. Not only watching Simon in times like these, but it was something you did in your day to day. That didn't matter though. Having Simon explain things and talk to you the way he does never fails to make you feel safer and calmer, like your own personal sound machine.
As Simon explains and drones on about his rather boring work, my eyes start to feel heavier and heavier, my head sinking more and more into Simon's chest and shoulder as I drift off to sleep. This doesn't go unnoticed by the caregiver as he continues to talk until he is sure you're asleep. Once you are fully taken by slumber, he quiets, holding you close as if you are the most fragile thing in the world, pressing a gentle kiss to your head.
He decides that the position you are in is probably not the best for your back so, gently, he scoops you up close to his chest as he stands to carry you to his quarters. A quiet and private place for you to rest without interruption.
As he lays you down, making every move deliberate as not to wake you, he tucks you in tight and brush the hair from your face.
"Sweet dreams, baby.." He says gently before turning to resume his duties.
