Incredibly random but something I’ve wanted to draw for some time now. I really enjoyed Blue Dragon and I liked a lot of the character designs. But I won’t lie, some of the monster designs where either very confusing or very ugly. I redesigned 2 big cases: Poo-Snake and Eat-Yeet

Poo-Snake is at least meant to be funny so I can forgive it’s head scratching design choices but Eat-Yeet is just… so ugly, and you can fight it twice! Not saying I’m better than Akira Toriyama or whoever did the monster design but this is just how I would handle them

This isn't a question but I just want to say how awesome it is to see a Blue Dragon-themed blog. I've loved this franchise since I was a kid so seeing a blog based around it is just really cool to me.

I saw someone's scan of a Japanese exclusive (I think) storybook that comes with Awakened Shadow and I saw this image.

Now, I'm wondering a few things. Is this the Talta Trio when they're younger? If so, why are they wearing their older outfits? Are they not younger and just chibis?

Also, why do they look so wholesome?

that's an interesting question..! it's been a long time since i played the game but i do remember the demon kings fondly... mostly i like his design (and the other's) especially the scythes he gets in his grand form
