Kavanaugh wrote that birthright citizenship ISN'T enshrined in the 14th amendment (it is, but you need a 2/3 majority to change an amendment). Instead he says it's law because of the Supreme Court's 1898 decision in U.S. v. Wong Kim Ark.

Since that's just an ordinary law and not an amendment, a republican congress with 60 votes or no filibuster could amend the law to create exceptions to universal birthright citizenship and then the GOP could end "birthright citizenship" and it would all be legal.

And that's why Republicans are happy about the ruling today.

And they make all new hires take a loyalty test and answer the question "did Donald Trump win the 2020 election?" as a way to weed out anyone who cares about telling the truth & upholding democracy.

And since loyalty and willingness to repeat administration lies are the main qualifications, all these folks are soooo unqualified.

As an example, a lot of groups claim to be “pro-women”, when in reality they are actually anti-trans. Their goal is not to uplift women, it’s to harass and criminalize trans people.

So inspect the groups you’re in. Ignore the name of the movement. What are the people in your group actually DOING?

I did not put this rock here. I don't even know where my queen GOT this rock. I think she dug around in the soil until she found it? She's been trying different rocks and keeps trying different ones, unsatisfied. I think I'm going to need to get some different pebbles for her to select from as after seeing her den regularly having the Feng Shei change I read that it is indeed her who has taken up interior decorating. I didn't know spiders could do that!

She was using one like a chair at one point. And I read that they use rocks to help block the entrance to give their home better protection. I also read they help them sense movement of prey as they're better able to feel the vibrations through the stones. I didn't know spiders used tools, not counting their own webs and trapdoors. How amazing she just knows how to do this.

"I need furniture. A nice throw rug, maybe some pillows. Make the isopods jealous they don't have my level of feng shui."

Or perhaps she learned when she was still just a tiny little spiderling while her mother cared for her.
