“I have though of possibly using trigger words, my mother did that. However, I literally feel like an idiot every time I use them,” Jazz admitted with a sigh, blowing her hair out of her face. “What about you, Dude? What makes magic easier for you? I can sense it you know…it’s like a small tickle in the back of my mind. It seems to go off every time I’m around another magical entity or person.”

“You could always do them on one of the Mystic languages, if you get a clear handle of them they sound really nicely and some even empower your spells.” He mused with a haphazard gesture grinning pleasedly at her asseverations. His hand raised until she was faced with his forearm and he let the magic pulse around him, the runes on his hands glowing with multicolored energy “My brand of Magic is Enchanting; basically, I am constantly letting my energy flow in the world around me to accomplish many things. My mother gave me these runes and they make it all that much easier, but I was considered a Magical Prodigy from young age anyways, so I would probably make do without them.” he explained with a calm voice “It is a natural skill, it probably means you have considerable magical aptitude; My name is Halden, it is a pleasure making your acquaintance and I would love to help you improve your skills if you wished so..” he introduced himself with a friendlier smile.

“I never said I wasn’t able to disclose information, but I never said I would,” Jade replied evenly. She felt strange. The only time she felt like this was when she was dealing with the LeBeau kids, especially Olivier who had hypnotic charm. It made her more wary of him. “Quite frankly, you haven’t even given me any reason to disclose anything, let alone upcoming plans by the program.”

“Technically you didn`t say you wouldn´t either, did you?” he retorted airily, blinking down at her with a salacious smile, it was almost too simple to be charming when he could so easily Enchant humans  “Oh, I don´t want that much information, I just want to be assured that I am not wasting my time in setting my sights too high with this place. I am sure than that is not too much to ask for, is it?”. he crooned with a deeper layer of charm, he was not laying it on thick but he wanted the intel she could give him; it was almost considered an exercise for his choosen Track anyways.

“Oh well let me give you a little lesson. Americans, such as myself, we use a bunch of words, even when we shouldn’t or don’t know what they mean! It’s really stupid,” he said with a big grin. “Oh, big strong man. Listen, I see your biceps, okay? You don’t have to advertise your strength anymore.” Tom laughed when Halden grabbed him. “Oh come on, I’m sure we aren’t all below you. I’m doing just fine, ya know. I’ve already planned out my celebratory victory over you.” He wiggled out of Halden’s grip and pranced to the other side of the room. “Okay, how do you wanna do this? Winner is the first to pin the other? Or, whoever knocks the other out. If we go with the latter though, winner has to take care of the loser till he wakes up.”

“Americans sound like rather dull people, then.” he bit back snottily, his nose scrunching up in slight disdain; his mother had taugth him that words needed to be used consciously and smartly in order to reap the most out of them, otherwise they were senseless noise. Halden raised a sardonic eyebrow at the man´s admissions but remained dutifully silent, the corners of his lips raising in a wolfish smirk “You might as well pick in which way you want to be defeated since I am feeling particularly generous today, I may even pretend to feel sorry for ruining your celebratory preparations as well.” he retorted evenly, his stance readying for the playful struggle that was bound to come..

Alaric melted into the others embrace as they kissed, falling completely under his control for the duration. “I uh… not really” he admitted with a small blush. “You’re just… I don’t know. It’s weird you just…. you’re special” he admitted, smiling dorkily at Halden. “Do you kiss people you’ve just met?”

Halden smirked confidently, green eyes still brimming with mischievousness and his finger tracing the sharp cheekbone and the outlines of the reddened lower lip “I am aware of how special I am, Alaric but thank you for it. And no, I can`t say I do; It is something I will consider doing more often, though.” he breathed out with a softer undertone.

        “ I mean technically I work more with Clint Barton than Thor but I am a card-carrying Avenger. I used to be a Young Avenger, much cooler than the normal Avengers honestly. Then I was deemed a full-fledged Avenger. ” Kate fished her wallet out of her bag and then pulled out her Avengers ID card. She used it to get discounts at Starbucks and the supermarket. “ But I have a photographic memory going for me, like Taskmaster, so there’s that. ” She shrugged. “ Interesting? He’s cranky. ”

Halden blinked at her with a crooked grin, her whole demeanour was really refreshing compared to that of other trainers; he peered at the ID card with curiosity “I doubt I will remain in Midgard long enouhg to get mine, in all honesty; I don´t think I want one either, too much responsibilities behind a little piece of plastic.” he observed with a casual shrug. “I guess so, I remained with him for three months and I saw approximately three expressions from him.” The trickster joked lighheartedly

Halden wrapped his arm snuggly around the trim waist, his other hand cradling the delicate jawline and angling it to his liking “I know how special I am, Alaric. No need to tell me.” he breathed out huskily against the other`s lips as his thumb caressed a flushed cheekbone with tenderness “That is not something I feel particularly enthused to share with you. Would you not rather keep kissing for a little more time?” he jested with a soft bite to the boy´s lower lip.

Pippa watched the male use his magic with enthralled, large doe eyes. She was always fascinated with the power of others. Growing up so shielded, you tended to be excited by almost everything, like a little puppy.

“Oh, that is so kind of you. Thank you very much!” She exclaimed as she threw her arms around him for a hug before quickly remembering what her family said about boundaries. Pip let go with a small blush. “Thank you, again.”

Halden was slightly surprised at the hug, not quite expecting it from someone who looked so... fragile-looking. “Worry not; I always enjoy practicing my magic, in all honesty.” he reassured with a haphazard shrug.

Alaric let out a small giggle, his cheeks turning a light shade of red as he rested his hands against the boys chest. “I… yeah, it’s worth the risk” he mumbled, letting his eyes flutter shut as the other boys aura drawed him in, and Al pressed their lips together in a soft kiss.

Halden smiled sharply against the boy`s lips, his teeth softly nipping the lower one and his hand carding through the fluffy hair as he deepened the contact; it was not a surprised that he had fallen prey to his Charm but the Enchanter felt a surge of accomplishment at proving that he could also play the game his mother had mastered over the years. “Is this something you do often? Kissing people you have just met, I mean.” he teased lightheartedly once their lips disconnected.

Tom strut into one of many sparring areas in the Training Room. He didn’t see Halden anywhere and presumed the alien was just late to show up. He’d dressed half-way into his gear. His gloves were fitted onto his hands and his whip hung off his utility belt. Tom’s eyes scanned the room that he’d been in many times. 

“Would that be the Magnificent Gigas, ready to have his ass handed to him on a silver platter?” Tom heard footsteps from behind and angled his head, happy to see his partner show up. “Good day so far, Hal’?”

Halden walked inside the training room with a confident gait, his eyebrow raising slightly in acknowledgement of the other boy´s comment “Considering that `Gigas´ is the Earthian interpretation of a Midgardian term you would not be able to grasp, I would use the term sparingly; it would also seem that you have forgotten that I am physically superior that Humans, I will gladly remind you of it shortly.” His voice was even and matter-of-fact even though his tone was playful as he seized the other male  “I am not bad, apparently I already got used to lowering my standards in this place. And you?” he inquired with a courteous tone.

Alec swallowed hard as the other leaned close to him, his hand trailing shapes against his chest. “I … I uh” he stammered “I don’t really want to be your slave but…. but I really want to kiss you” he said, obviously slightly torn, but still leaning towards him. “And I…I’m called Alaric”

The Enchanter`s hands slid deliberately slow over the slighter man`s chest up to his neck, his fingertips toying with the soft hair at the base of his neck, a pleased smile playing at the corners of his lips “Don´t you think it is a worthy risk?” he teased tilting his head a little forward, their lips one breath apart “I treat my slaves very nicely, Alaric.” he whispered the name reverently, almost like a prayer; his magic thrumming around the smaller male almost like a caress and his whole demeanour deliberately provocative.

As the other spoke Alaric couldn’t help but listen intently, leaning towards the boy as he spoke. “I think I’d quite like you to kiss me” he admitted, smiling dorkily at him.

The Asgardian smirked confidently,reaching for the boy`s chest and setting his hand over the place where his heart laid, his fingers tracing formless patterns while the runes in the back of his hand pulsed with green light “Do you know who my mother is? She is known in the Nine Realms for making slaves of the strongest men with nothing but a simple kiss. Are you willing to risk becoming my slave to get the chance of kissing me, Midgardian Boy?” he taunted smoothly, leaning progressively into the boy`s space and towering over him, eyes almost a toxic green as they seized the other`s with a pulling grip.

“I’ve been practicing for as long as I remember, but it’s a bit more difficult than it seems,” Jazz responded, tugging on her ear uncomfortably. She hated talking about her flaws. “My abilities are linked to my emotions. The more negative feelings I have, the more negative energy I unleash. It’s a bit terrible at times. I mean, I can focus when I’m in battle, but when I want to act like a normal human being, forget it.” Jazz sighed, feeling more awkward and vulnerable than she was used to feeling.

Halden listened with close attention, a little too aware of how difficult Magic could be sometimes, especially specific brands like the ones they both apparently had “Have you tried a way to channel it with more ease? Hand gestures, trigger words and incantations are usually good ways to start.” He suggested with a casual gesture; even is she was technically his competition, he could not help but want to help another Sorcerer fulfill her potential.

After he offered up his explanation it kind of made sense that he wasn’t from Earth. Oscar had a feeling he was going to be meeting a lot of people like that while on the island. He was already over it. Still, he shook his head at the other boy. “Nah, it’s cool. Not your fault that you weren’t born and raised on this particular rock.” Oz had yet to go off planet, the thought of it freaked him out to no end. He knew he would have to go to the base of the Green Lantern Corps eventually, but for now he was hiding on Earth under the guise of training on this island so that he didn’t have to leave. “I just needed a quiet place to think.” Another way of saying that he was hiding from everyone. “I always liked climbing trees.”

Halden hummed in acknowledgement, as a Magic practitioner he had been forced to meditate a lot in isolation and had grown to like the solitude in reasonable amounts of time. He peered at the branches with mistrust “Understandable, even though I doubt that Midgardian trees would hold my weight.” he observed with a calm smile, only half-jokingly. “Overwhelmed by this place?” he chanced with curiosity, he was perceptive enough and could see that the smaller male was not exactly happy because of something, and that was the most logical reason he could think of.

Alaric smiled as he took a step towards the other, biting him lip slightly. “Well I thought that calling you attractive was a pretty good start to me flirting. Unless there’s something you’d prefer I do?” he asked a playful smirk on his face.

“I am not all that aware of Midgardians customs but I am pretty sure that pointing out what is obvious is not considered flirting.” Halden tutted smoothly, his larger frame imposing in comparison with the Midgardian´s. He decided to have some more entertainment, his Enchantment weaving with his words and his eyes glinting almost hypnotically “Why don`t you tell me what you´d prefer I do?” he ventured huskily, the magic in his voice leaving almost no room for discussion; the poor boy was falling into a game that he had no hope of winning, at least not with someone like him on the opposite side.

“Not entirely, no,” Jazz replied, rubbing her temples. She thought she was getting better at controlling her abilities, but it was obvious that any progress that she thought she was making was nothing more than a fallacy. She sighed. “Such is my life. Full of involuntary reactions and explosions. Honestly, I would just rather do away with my powers. They’re more trouble than their worth,” she responded in an almost tired tone.

“Have you been steadily practicing with it for long?” He inquired with a more personable tone “When I was barely starting with my learnings I teleported myself to other realms without really meaning to a few times; magic is possibly the most versatile force in the universe but it also tends to act fickle and capricious in the worst moments.” Halden confided with an aggravated sigh.

“Well… thanks, that’s nice of you to say. I don’t know what Asgardian Standards are, but you’re super attractive either way” he grinned. “Twenty? Okay.. okay cool. I was just checking that I wasn’t about to start flirting with like a three hundred year old”

The Enchanter found himself subconsciously enjoying the Earthling's child-like honesty, it was certainly refreshing considering how much brooding, glooming and rudeness he had been subject to courtesy of the other trainees since arriving on The Island “And now that you have cleared your doubts, how are you planning to start with this flirting, as you graciously call it?”

“Xstina is a nickname for Christina Aguilera, who is the singer,” Jazz replied, gesturing absentmindedly towards the stereo. She was used to explaining things, she had done so all time to her alien friends, especially Korith. He never seemed to get a grasp of Earth culture. 

“As for the dancing, it’s something I generally do when I’m feeling hyper or when I’m alone,” Jazz replied, biting her lip in an irritated fashion. In response to the negative flux in her emotions, a nearby weight was suddenly blanketed with black energy, before melting onto the practice weight. Jazz noticed it and sighed, swearing under her breath.

“That sounds like a wondrous subject.” Halden hummed in agreement even though the words made no sense to him, he was already used to not being aware of many of the things his peers in the island talked about, especially regarding what the youth considered common culture. The young Asgardian was about to reply when the random outburst of unfamiliar energy surged in the air and set him on alert, the fortuitous display was over as fast as it started and he peered at the girl with a raised eyebrow “I gather that was not a voluntary reaction.” he observed with a matter-of-fact voice
