the fact that even when anne has her hair down n is dressed up, gilbert still looks at her w the love he’s already had. it’s not like ‘wow, you’re so beautiful now’. y’know, like when “makeovers” happen in other shows like ‘i liked you already but NOW wow!’ he doesn’t overreact or react differently bc his love has been the same since day 1. be it braids, nearly bald, or hair flowing. be it her tattered poor clothes or her newest dress. she’s always been perfect to him
