Welcome To The Family, My Friend!
This here is going to be a list of "Common NPC's (affectionate)" that are my various family members - no real names used, of course, just nicknames! - that consistently appear in the things I post! This will include spouses, partners, siblings, parents, some friends, and of course some of my kids. Also, while they may be divided into "categories", none of them are really in any particular order.
I'll Also explain some of my tags!
This post will be consistently updated as I go along, as I'm an incredibly forgetful person due to various things, so if you ever can't find something or someone I mention, feel free to shoot me an ask for clarification! I promise I don't bite! :P
The Polycule:
Raven: Femme, I call her wifey occasionally. First spouse I married! She/Her pronouns. A big Chaos Causer, golden retriever energy to the max, a literal doctor that tends to forget that she actually is one lmao
Cat: Masc, he/him pronouns, sometimes jokingly called a furry (he isn't in any sense, he just has a major obsession with cats and we like to tease him about it). My second spouse! He's very bookish and has a dry, deadpan sense of humor, and drops jokes when no one expects it.
Crow: Vaguely Questioning, Masc, she/they pronouns. Third spouse! Can make scarily accurate crow calls, and is honestly the #1 Chaos Causer in my household. Very calming presence, levelheaded, has been compared to the ocean a lot. Gives amazing hugs!
Doc: Masc, he/him pronouns, Fourth spouse! Can sometimes be perceived as a know-it-all and a prick, but more often than not is the first to provide a comforting presence and help set firm boundaries for anyone and with anyone as needed. Big "gentle giant" vibes, if I'm being completely honest.
Constellation: Masc, he/him pronouns. Very quiet but EXTREMELY snarky, and will absolutely match your energy at every step. Likes to talk people in circles, and likes to bake (he likes the science behind it). Was originally my metamour (he was only with Cat) but we kept playfully picking on each other and it went from there
Star: Unsure, he/they pronouns! Acts like a snarky asshole, but he's incredibly funny and sassy and likes sneaking the younger kiddos treats when they're not supposed to have them. Can usually talk his way in and out of any situation (.... Usually.). Acts feline-like but gets offended if anyone mentions it (a few others in the 'cule like to tease him about it, all in good humor, of course).
Amethyst: He/They, Masc. We call him, with much affection, the Punk Rock Bastard. Has a problem with authority (much like me) but is a BIG advocate for mental health, and can and will talk you into going to therapy. He's got the whole vibe of being a Bad Guy, but he's not a bad guy
Clay: androgynous, he/him. Called a hippie by a few, and known most for the sheer amount of "calm and thoughtful" vibes he gives off. Very philosophical, and can and WILL drop deep thoughts and therapy things on you at a moment's notice, if you need them (whether you ask for it or not). Known to drop harsh truths in the gentlest way possible. Also, really fucking tall.
Bambi: Undetermined in the fact he won't tell us, he/they pronouns! Can be really harsh and bitchy, and off-putting in ways most can't explain, but he's incredibly protective of those he cares about, and can take just as much bitchiness and sass as he hands out. Due to this they get a lot of "Are we sure you're human?" jokes, and all he does is raise his eyebrows about it
Nugget: Cis man, he/him pronouns. Has a handful of large burnscars, but he's not ashamed of them. Sarcastic to an almost extreme point, and known to tease (and flirt) with basically everyone. He knows how to take no for an answer, though, and he'll stop immediately if someone shows signs of being uncomfortable. Also has a shit ton of piercings, and gets them caught on basically everything, and cusses up a shitstorm every time.
Thief: Femme, she/her. Tall, sturdy, and a lover of shiny trinkets and loving people. Kleptomania is, unfortunately, her thing. Thankfully, she generally just "steals" things from family and friends, and USUALLY returns it, whether it's been noticed as missing or not. MAJOR cuddle bug, and more often than not has to be touching a loved one in some way or other to feel safe and comfortable herself, even if it's just holding someone's hand. MAJOR chaos causer, and it brings her much delight
Demon: masc, xe/xem. Started getting called "Demon" as a joke and it stuck quicker than the fastest drying glue I can think of. Very friendly, very kind, but reserved. Xe are one of the few people I know that has heterochromia! ADORES kids, and more often than not is the one to give them treats they're not supposed to have
Angel: Masc, he/him. Relatively seen as the "polar opposite" of Demon, hence the nickname. Also started as a joke and stuck just as quickly. He has MAJOR golden retriever vibes. Quick to trust, but can be as nervous as a chihuahua. Known to talk himself in circles! Has Marie Antoinnette Syndrome, but doesn't like to talk about how he got it.
Mars: Femme, she/her! Cracks jokes all the damn time, and likes causing low-key chaos with her other partner, and for better or worse this chaos usually happens in my house. It is what it is! Can get nervous and awkward around a lot of people, but tries to play it off with jokes and the like. Incredibly sweet person!
Kitten: Androgynous, nya/nyaself (but she/her works in a pinch). Short and buff as hell, nya is a gymnast and boxer even on nya's worst days and can and WILL beat your ass while making a bunch of cat puns and sassing the hell out of you, and nya probably wouldn't break out in a sweat in the process. Don't let all of that fool you, though, nya is still a complete dumbass at heart
Shade: Androgynous, They/It. Quiet as hell and has mastered Sneak level 100, and WILL use it against you for their own entertainment. LOVES jumpscaring people. All of that aside, it is a good hand at cooking, so if you can't find them scaring the shit out of people, it's probably cooking something or other (and possibly helping Constellation with his newest baking project)
Rooster: Masc, he/him. Nicest but grumpiest asshole you'll ever meet. Sleeps a lot, cooks when he has the time. Some call him another case of "Grumpy on the outside, big softie on the inside". LOVES chickens, and for better or worse sometimes sneaks his favorites in the house, which results in a household game of "Find That Loose Chicken Or So Help Me God-"
Dusty: Femme, She/They pronouns. Gruff and to the point, calling everything like she sees it, regardless of what anyone thinks or says. Even with that, she tries her damndest to keep everyone's best interests in mind when she says whatever she does. Loves video games of all kinds, and can talk for hours about her favorites!
Love: Butch, She/Her. Tall, buff, looks like the world's best bouncer and like she can bench-press a car with little effort. Also has heterochromia! Very soft-spoken, blunt, and awkward, but she always means well. LOVES flowers of all kinds, even if she doesn't have the best green thumb.
KitCat: Butch, She/Her. High energy, stubborn as hell, competitive, with a killer fashion sense. One of my favorite people to go toe-to-toe with because we're both so stubborn we just keep affectionately headbutting each other like a couple of goats. Also INCREDIBLY cuddly, whether she likes to admit that or not
Darling: Masc, He/They. Oh my god where do I start. Ridiculous, stubborn, protective dumbass. Loyal to a fault, and will jump into any confrontation to protect those he cares about. Appears to be closed off with most people, and extremely blunt. Don't let any of that fool you, they are ALSO a dumbass, and one of the sweetest motherfuckers I have EVER had the pleasure of having a permanent spot in my life
Parents:
Bio Mom and Bio Dad: What it says on the tin, babes. They mixed the genetic material to make me. Not allowed in my kid's lives.
Birthgiver and Spermdonor: Not to be mistaken with Bio Mom and Bio Dad. They are both called these things in a derogatory way. If you know why, you know why. I also don't want to go into detail about it. Not allowed in my kid's lives. BUT working on repairing these relatioinships, with good results so far. Progress is progress.
Prick: Single father. Absolute asshole. I don't like talking about him to most people. He put me and others through a living hell, and I'm proud of all of us that we got out of that situation. Also not allowed in my kid's lives.
Mom and Dad: The only ones I consider my actual parents! Funny thing is, they aren't married. Dad's gay, Mom's a lesbian, but they're best friends and took one look at me and the "siblings" of mine that Prick had custody of and went "you know what? Fuck you, they're ours now, you bitch". Once they heard I had other Actual siblings (from Bio Mom and Bio Dad), they decided to take them in, too. They're wonderful grandparents to all of my kids and also enable them to be chaos causers outside of my house lmao
Siblings:
Rat Bastard: Older brother! The only sibling who's actually older than me. He's called this jokingly and lovingly, and from what I'm aware of he actually is the one who started the nickname. He's a bit of a prick, but he's more than willing to do anything and everything to protect his siblings and my kids.
Pesto Protector: Brother, same age as me! We bitch and argue a lot but he may as well be my twin. Sometimes we're too in sync and it freaks people out.
Ghost: Brother, aslo same age as me! Very bookish and quiet, and doesn't like getting involved in drama.
Devil: Sister, same age as me! Short tempered, bit of a bit h sometimes, but likes to joke around. Always willing to throw hands with anyone and everyone.
Furball: Sister, same age as me! Probably leans way too far into the pastel goth scene. Super bitchy and likes making her opinions on things known, but she loves and adores her family and friends.
OakTree: Sibling, again same age! Quiet, kind of a scaredy cat, and usually keeps to themself. Pretty eccentric and has a weird sense of humor, but they're amazing
King: Younger brother! Mute, but very expressive anyway. His vocal cords are all kinds of fucked but that doesn't stop him from being a fucking gremlin and playing jokes and pranks on people!
Kangaroo: Younger brother! Has a special interest in goats, very defensive, known to be super grumpy and occasionally get into fistfights.
Puppy: Younger sister! A verifiable handful, and talks "weird" due to brain damage from when she was younger, but that doesn't stop her from talking. A lot. Very expressive and loves almost everyone she meets
Green Bean: Younger sister! The most chaotic younger sibling one could think to have. Likes to make a LOT of dirty jokes, and is generally the one who comes up with basically everyone's nicknames. Smart as a whip and uses that to cause chaos
Deerling: Younger sister! She's probably Dad's favorite and honestly none of us can blame him. This child is a sweetheart, and adores the color pink probably too much.
Teacup: Youngest sister! Very shy, loves and adores everyone and just wants everyone to be her friend. Obsessed with collecting animal figurines.
