Beautiful morning of yoga, mediation and gardening at The MAYE Center in Long Beach/ Cambodia Town. Laura Som, the founder is a survivor of the Khmer Rouge genocide. She founded this organization to promote self healing within the Cambodian community. It was so beautiful to see elderly Cambodians come alive and empower each other through Meditaion/ Yoga/ (urban) Agriculture/ & Education. I hope to one day see spaces like this in all Cambodian communities. Everyone here was incredibly welcoming and Laura is such an inspiration. Thank you for your hospitality, sharing your knowledge and creating a space that allows for growth on so many levels.
