V: This card was a much trickier uplift than the others (and I'm going to have to edit the original in later), but that actually serves as a decent parallel. Sometimes to move ahead, it helps to look to the lessons of the past. To remember our instructors. I: Alchemist (the Craft), II. Oracle (Future Planning), III: Empress (the Mother), and IV: Emperor (the Father). But there is another still, the one who opens our eyes to the larger world. V: Hierophant (the Teacher).
Traditionally, this card (sometimes called Priest, even Pope on rare occasion) is shown with two adults hearing them preach. I feel like someone who guides their students, giving them the chance to fail as much as succeed is a bit more true to the spirit of the card.
Given how long it has been since my last upload, and the overall mental trouble this particular card has given me, it's really nice to see it come together. That's not to say I've been idle, far from. As a matter of fact, I've only got 11 cards left to draw at the pencil stage. That's right, I've completed 3 of the 4 Minor suits since Emperor's post. I'm very excited to finally be making some serious headway. And there too, applies Hierophant's lesson; study is a matter of diligence, and things won't always progress linearly, much less how you expect them to.
