I had a call back for an interview today. The company is good and I would be pleased to work there, however the position it itself would be a step backwards (in terms of responsibilities) and more corporate than I would prefer. I am going to do the interview anyway and just see how it goes. One can never have too much job interview experience, right?

I feel super guilty if I work less than 9 hours a day. I’m only paid for 38 hours, my contract says I need to work 40 hours, but I’m made to feel guilty by my managers if I work under 45 hours. I don’t get bonuses, overtime, or receive any other form of compensation or incentive. I really don’t like that.

A little background...

I love what I do and I love the industry I work in. It’s fun and rewarding and all that shit. I’ve always been passionate about it and I still am. It’s just the company I work for that is my real problem. I won’t give anymore away though. You know, because of professionalism and all that..

In the almost three years I’ve been with the company, I’ve had the life sucked out of me, spat out, squished around a bit and then stomped on. Seriously. I’m really sad to be at work. Really, really unhappy, cynical and moody. And I’m not normally that type of person. I’m normally the most positive, excitable person in the room. Glass half full, etc.

Blahhhhh, but I’m not that positive person at the moment so to remedy that I’m taking to the blogosphere! This won’t be some sob story of a blog though. Instead, it’ll be funny, uplifting, and a probably mostly sarcastic take on the workforce as I shut up and get on with my current job and search for a new one. Hopefully some can relate.
