If you told me a year ago that I would be celebrating my daughters one year birthday this past weekend, I would have looked at you with a face painted with doubt and uncertainty.

Three years ago I started my journey towards authenticity. If you told me then I would still stand beside my wife, and have a daughter, I prob would have cried tears of despair, regret, and depression for the future I thought would come. We all try to imagine the future. We try to play out scenarios, usually the worst case, in order to prepare ourselves for defeat and pain. This is especially tru for the many sisters like me that take that first step fearing the worst.

The take home here is this. Every scenario I played out, Every possible end game that I imagined…never came to pass. I created my own future filled with many trials and struggles, much happiness and many wins as well as loss. But this scenario, this weekend, this NOW, is more than I could have ever imagined. I am Surrounded by friends and family that see me for me. And with My best friend by my side, and our daughter, I truly feel loved. I feel alive.

Don’t sell yourself short. You can achieve goals beyond your wildest imagination. You can be you. So I haven’t done an update post in forever so even though I’m still taking care of my 97 year old grandma most of the time (she’s getting much better and can walk using a walker now and should be back to walking normally in about a month, she’s so strong!!) Countdown to T-Day… Day 1

Well here we are, the last day before Tumblr imposes it’s ban. We are going to end the countdown with the post that is far and away the fan favorite. I have always said that I am doing this for myself (and I am) but it wouldn’t be nearly as enjoyable without all of you.

The love and support I have received on here has been beyond my wildest dreams and has touched me deeply. I am truly grateful for each of you that have taken time out of your busy day to like, reblog or comment on my posts.

To all my dear followers that will not be here tomorrow, I wish you well and hope you find a place you enjoy. A place that gives you the same satisfaction that this blog has given me. I will remain here, at least for awhile, so please do come back for a visit. Thank you all :)
