I have three jobs, let me tell you about my favorite one. ✨ After wrapping up my first season with @she_movesmountains, I couldn’t be more excited for the future. Every day guiding this season I’ve watched women learn and grow, connect with each other and find the freedom and power that make climbing so special to me. ✨ I’ve climbed since I was a teenager and been to the top of countless pitches. Every time a beginner reaches the anchor for the first time, or a woman successfully finishes her first lead, I get to share that experience over and over again. ✨ Teaching women how to be strong, self sufficient climbers and sharing my love for the mountains is a dream come true. I just had the pleasure of taking my baby sister @beckylynn1990 on her first extended climbing trip! I got to see her figure things out, work through fears and learn some new skills! I’m incredibly grateful for the amount of time I get to spend in beautiful places; places that bring this uncontrollable smile to my face. It’s not always stunning landscapes and grand adventures. Today it’s 12 hours on my feet in a bar, not on a mountain. In a town overrun with people and thick with eye-burning, throat-searing smoke and haze that has completely blocked the sun and all the craggy ridges that surround my little home. Sometimes after you reach the summit, getting back down is just as daunting. We wanted to hang out on top of South Howser for a bit, but the hazy purple light brought a sense of urgency to our descent. A few stuck ropes were resolved fairly quickly and we touched back down to snow just after dark.
