Is there a way that I will know when I am meditating correctly? I feel like if I'm looking for an outcome I might be missing the point of meditation, but I didn't think it'd hurt to ask.
Meditation:
Sit. Close your eyes.
Rest your gaze on the place between your eyebrows, or if that is difficult then at the tip of your nose.
Do not deliberately think about anything. Do not visualize or imagine anything.
Those are the instructions. There is no need for “correctness” beyond that. The rest happens on its own.
There is a difference between thinking and having thoughts arise. Thinking is something you are actively doing, like wondering about what you should have for dinner. Having a thought arise is when a thought or imagination simply appears. Perhaps out of habit or restlessness or boredom.
When you are sitting in meditation, concentrating your attention, a thought might arise. If you react to that thought, have judgments or opinions about it, or otherwise try to engage it by pushing or pulling at it, then you will find yourself falling down a train of thought. Notice this when it happens.
If you notice the thought when it arises, then don’t follow it. Let it come and go. If it comes again let it go. And so on. Keep your focus.
If you only notice this when you have wandered down a train of thought, then come back. Realize you have lost your presence and return to the focus point of the meditation. That too is part of meditation. That is growth, when you shake yourself awake and come back to the meditation.
This process of having feelings and thoughts arise and constantly returning to your present focus of the meditation is how your habits of mind get cleansed. Instead of allowing your mind to batter your attention about like a bird in a storm, your attention will gradually settle, decompress, and intensify on its own.
While I can describe some symptoms of meditation practice such as peace, patience, happiness, and so on, it really wouldn’t be that helpful. This is because what you will notice within is truly indescribable.
Do not doubt that the meditation is working and progress is happing. It is. You may not notice it for some time. It can take some time between connecting cause and effect, between practicing meditation and noticing tangible changes. Or you may sit for a meditation one day and get shaken by a sudden awakening experience. Either way don’t cling and don’t speculate, just practice. I assure you the rest is happening on its own.
Namaste brother :) Keep it up.

Can you name me some websites that sell clothes for bigger people?
Okay, I will name/link all of the websites I can think of off the top of my head…but I’m sure there are lots more! So if anyone wouldn’t mind helping out please feel free to add more by re-blogging!
First here are my most frequented sites that I have personally shopped at and feel most comfortable recommending!
1.) modcloth! They have retro/modern style clothes and go up to a size 4X (wish it went higher, and hopefully they will soon…but for now this is what they got)
2.) ASOS Curve high quality clothes that I believe go up to a size 26/28, little pricey but they always have a lot of sales!
3.) Eshakti SUPER high quality (and expensive unfortunately) dresses, skirts, and tops…best part is you can custom size the clothes and they go up to a 6X!!!)
4.) Torrid …I think most people have heard of them, I honestly only buy leggings and the occasional dress from there…but I LOVE/live in their Premium leggings!
5.) SimplyBe I’ve gotten a few dressed and leggings from here…not the greatest customer service so double/triple check your order before placing it! But over all I have been happy with what I’ve bought from here!
6.) CityChic ....I have a cardigan and a dress from here (that I’m actually trying to sell…so I might post about that soon) and I’ve been impressed with the quality and they usually have killer sales going on!
Other wise here are the others I can think of off the top of my head that I haven’t really shopped at but have heard good things:
Evans
Yours Clothing
Forever 21 Plus
NewLook
AdditionElle
And
igigi
That’s all I can think of right now…but hopefully others will add some! Hope it helps!
Have a great day! <3<3
