hiiiiiiii friends, i'm almost done creating an original character i've been working on for a little while. they're inspired by the battle royale genre / alice in borderland / silent hill f and you should like this post if you'd be interested in interacting with them. ♥

modern ahri, visualized.

while chaeyoung is her official faceclaim, i do think this model is such a great visualization of how i see ahri / modern ahri. ♡ the really light smattering of freckles across her nose from spending too much time gardening in the sun, the doe eyes well-practiced to drawn you in, the dark, face framing hair ... the only features missing are her little fangs ( that appear tiny, but lengthen considerably as she feasts ) and the beauty mark below her lips and the ones scattered across her body. in her modern au, her usual face markings are hidden away with magic, similarly to her tail & ears. so you're none-the-wiser that she's supernaturally, ethereally pretty because she is supernatural.

How is Ahri with kids

thanks for asking ! sweet, sweet ahri, as blood - thirsty and cruel as she can be, has the softest spot in her heart for children. in fact, she becomes the doting fox - mom that she is with her little forest friends: protecting them with her life & entertaining their silliness.

and although ahri has no personal desire for children of her own, she is infertile, so it's not necessarily by choice - when she's with little ones, ahri does wonder what it would be like for a moment, but knows that she's better off without. instead, she'd be the best auntie who spoils your child and sets the standards way too high for you. actually, i think she's the type of auntie to let them muck about in the gardens and make a mess and play with her tools ... probably not the most responsible, but a little mess never hurt anyone if you're having fun, right?

But of course he's gotta let everyone know! Trauma be damned, he likes the idea of her owning him. She can get a little (or a lot) possessive as a treat!

trauma be damned is exactly right !! miss ahri could never be kept or owned or possessed, the flighty little animal that she is. but the second she lets her walls down enough to trust herself around django, to allow herself to feel possessive over someone else ? it's so over. she's making him wear a t-shirt with her face on it that says "if lost, return to her" everywhere.

in every world, ahri is surrounded by the kin of her wildwood ━━ the birds, the snakes, the rabbits, the foxes. she's their keeper, and the sentiment goes both ways: as she cares for them, they care for her. ( gifts on her windowsill, berries and nuts, warming her in the cold, pulling her from her deepest thoughts with pecks and nudges ). in every world, ahri and the creatures of the wood are one in the same, family.

and this includes her modern au ! birds happily hop along around her home, cats curl up to snooze on her sill, and butterflies settle on the ivy crawling up her exterior walls in droves. fond of her friends, ahri leaves out tins of food and water, welcoming their presence whole - heartedly.

although, none but one would ahri consider a true companion. while her visitors come and go, there is a single fox that remains in her shadow, no matter where ahri may stray. with fur like burnt amber and freshly fallen snow, a mischievous glint in her eyes, and a tendency to dig up ahri's potted plants is kiko. a playful fox, ahri would never claim her as a pet or keep her in one place, yet she insists on staying next to ahri, forever nipping her ankles and begging for head rubs with little yips.

if one were to visit ahri's little boutique, they'd likely find kiko sprawled out across one of the flower beds, snoozing away.

the concept of a young(er) modern ahri, pre - ballet, still a little wild and hedonistic, fleeing from city to city under different names when things start to turn a little shaky or when she can no longer justify her youthful appearance after so many years without explanation.

maybe she's in college studying whatever her heart desires, because when your lifespan stretches hundreds of years, you learn to find purpose in collecting niche knowledge and skills to pass the time. for some years, it's medicine, so that she can understand the inner workings of the humans she dissects for her hunger. (where offers the cleanest cut? which organ is the most nutrient dense?)

bored and untethered, she gets wine drunk and dances with strangers in dark clubs, then drags them out back to eat them. she takes pretty mementos like rings and necklaces and strappy heals, or an expensive pair of sunglasses.

she sits inside of a convenience store eating spicy noodles, curled up at a counter looking outside, rain pitter - pattering on the window. she's bundled up in a hoodie and jeans and soft boots. her hair is cut short, dyed sandy blonde. her latest phase. it'll be long and dark again soon.

she reads about celebrity gossip in magazines. does the personality quizzes, because they're meaningless fun. buys herself bouquets of flowers to fill up her small apartment above a tailor's shop. they distract from the blood stains she couldn't scrub out of the old wood floors.
