The Paradigm of Planetary Motion

I think of you as the crossover between storm and its opposite.

You are the exact moment the rain stops but not quite and the skies clear but not yet.

It will all depend on whether you smile or walk pass the sunset that recur for us.

You are proof the earth orbits around a bright star coming in the form of the morning sunlight kissing a cheek or as droplets of rain halving moist from a windowpane: the precipitation of all the heat that has evaporated.

Still, the gravity of your effect remains invisible as the strings that cause the world to spin.

What is that my eyes have never seen before?

I’ve been to strange places and found the saddest spots for me to be in the world.

Now in my room I see golden glitters on my windowpane, Vertical stretches

of penciled sunlight as if claw marks and scars have a way of making themselves beautiful.

What is it my eyes are seeing now? through the past The calm arrives

kissing spots of me tenderized with the pain of loving. Now i know what love is.

Attempt to rhyme sorrow

Where have the good days gone? When we hang around in corridors As if each meeting was unplanned When we see through separate floors To pick up signs of each other Where have those days gone? the gem of friendships and forevers When the dream was won by us, those days not spent in commute now 8 to 5 is the only plan: I still hear your voice like a flute but the good old days are gone.

How do you picture the stars at night? Far away but bright so very far away from me.

I picture the moon beside your face. It’s phase is blue. But it is you who draws me in.

My love is great for you. But it is not the love to touch your knee or keep you close.

My love is earth-bound, staring at you like a secret, that long silence in the night. So very quiet, and scared

of loosing sight in the morning. So very close to sleep.

Did you reach home safely? That long commute from where we decided to say goodbye.

And the first hour went by. How time flies fast, and we spent it cold as paper bills.

poem for an ending you do not know about

There’s cold grass in your heart, loam soil, a flat earth against the sky with that half-bright moon.

There are dark clouds that keep you from feeling clearly. Ponds with swans, that effacing movement

slow to crawl along the water, slow to sail, nowhere but there, that beats to make your blood flow, that beats to keep you

warm. You have to know exactly what keeps you alive. There’s a cold place somewhere in you that makes you breathe

fire, that glow in your eye, when you are taking hands in yours, clasping fingers, souls, and tracing skin, life kissing

death like a flower. That is you before her/ before him loving just to love. What about your heart?

The footsteps that bury themselves on the cold grass, a picture to behold. The wind that knocks off the clouds until

that moon in you is bright as if you swallowed a cure pebble. You don’t know what’s going to happen in that place.

Let’s not go into the dive.

The sea is a blue ostrich, it gleams as if a neck of pearls –in the way the sun hit the dance -ing waves. Dancing is beautiful. To sway, to float. Eyes closed, chin up. Deep down, treasuring, all the dangers of drowning, and yet, we stay. You and me. Seeker of trenches… forever feeling the current. You were to me, strange as a coral.

i’m probably more brittle than i let you believe, because breaking seems a little too extreme after all the nothings we’ve been. last night, while i cried myself to sleep, i realised that you’re as much a coward as i am. we both want to leave- i don’t know how and you don’t want to lift your feet. there’s an ache in my chest as i write this, but it will subside. there’s tears that’ll dry up and words that’ll lose their meaning. there’s always a been distance and it will exceed. let the ocean grow. let me go- let you go. there’s no point to this anymore. there’s no truth between us. there’s just this odd dependency that couldn’t be healthy. there’s awkward talking and silences. there’s “are you alright?” “am i alright?” like we don’t really know. there’s forcing a kind of happy, where there is none. there’s me swallowing all the i love you’s i want to say to you, but i don’t; i’m choking on them. there’s me feeling like i wish we could be and there’s me hoping i could hide from you for once. there’s my vulnerability. there’s no uncertainty- not for me at least, but where are you in between? not here at least. in all that we’ve done and all that we’ve seen- in all that we’ve been, you’re still in between and i couldn’t be; not anymore, with these silent footstep dreams, clearly visible of space- living unacknowledged, in a burnt down barren field. this self-inflicted hiding / finding lightning in darkness fighting, is too much for me to be consumed by. i’m moth drawn flame blinding, on night porch lighting now done with pretending to be a butterfly. so now that i’m done writing, word on word biting on bright red lips- bleeding / i let you rest love, once and for all on the beach- with the song that started it all.
