Dear YouTube executives,

Give me the ability to opt out of certain ads. Ads with people yelling, ads with shirtless men (sorry, Dr.Squatch), ads with or for religious content, ads with high pitched sounds, ads for horror genre, etc.

Give me Calm Mode.

Forcing ads to people strongly opposed, or sensitive to, the content they contain is not doing anyone any favors, I promise.

Effing look at this diversity, once again, Dimension 20 being awesome. I am so excited to see Brennan as the only white guy, and showing up again as a player. I love Aabria's GMing prominence on the network. Izzy always a favorite for me too, with her strong and unapologetic choices. All these skilled and imaginative women. Fantastic!

Hot take? This is my first time using Tumblr and I've done it to say this: "girl dinner" is a totally normal feeding method and I don't like that we've started using this term to describe simple, low-effort, high variety meals.

These are often meals that very much reflect what busy or struggling single people, or ASD people, would prepare for themselves. And it's great. This is often how I get by.

What I don't like, is that it comes across to me as if these types of meals are only acceptable when a girl is alone. Maybe it's just my own trauma, but does anyone else feel like this trend is born of the unspoken expectation that women should still be preparing full cooked meals every night?

IDK, maybe this concept isn't as normal to others as it is to me, and this is a positive step for a large group normalizing this concept. But for me, who finds this very normal, it seems like a step backward.
