laughter, screams, colors. thatâs how she would have described her day at the kindergarten. although challenging at best and exhausting at worst, sohee wouldnât have had it in any other way. there wasnât anything else that she liked more than spending time with the children. she definitely was the type to consider herself fortunate to be hanging out with such innocent and kind souls. on top of that, she was also well aware that some of the kids spent more time with her than with their parents, so she always made sure to give her full attention and affection to them, to guarantee that they will be receiving the education that they needed and they would develop the proper skills.
the goodbyes were always bittersweet, giving each toddler a tight hug and waving with a bright smile on her face. despite knowing that sheâd miss their company, she couldnât deny that she was looking forward to going back to her place to rest a bit. yes, she was tired the moment she got home, but that didnât mean that she wouldnât cook something for herself. a good cook, thanks to her grandmother, soheeâs apartment was now filled with the smell of sundubu jjigae and jjajangmyeon. she enjoyed the meal by herself, though she definitely did not mind the silence and the calm that came with it.
suprisingly, as she was now just chilling in the living room, her phone buzzed and she reached over to check who was texting her. the notification which popped up on the screen earned a small smile from her and she was quick to reply to his message.
â clement ang đ  ‿  yes, iâm home!!
â  clement ang đ   ‿   whatâs up?
â  clement ang đ   ‿   are you comin over?Â
his eyes didnât leave his phone screen and nor did he exit their chatroom after sending the messages. as impatience began to grow in him, his knee started shaking - a habit clement picked up at a young age. upon seeing the marks indicating that his messages had been read, the man immediately switched on the engine of his motorbike and after only glancing at the new chat bubbles popped up, the corners of his lips were tugged upwards and forming was a smirk across his face.
he knew. clement knew by now, her schedules and based on what he had learned about bae sohee through information he secretly gained, it wasnât exactly necessary for him to ask for her whereabouts. although knowing this statement could throw anyone off as it may come as inappropriate and disturbing, but it was for safely purposes. after all, clement held a name ranked high in a very dangerous world and bae sohee was someone really precious to him.
after finished gearing himself up for the ride, he halted at putting on his left glove and pressing the voice message button, he sent his replies.
â guess i can surprise you no more this time as well, bae sohee. â he chuckled.
â although you really shouldnât simply just say that to anyone who asked if youâre home or not. itâs dangerous, you know. â
â iâll be there in twenty. donât open the door to anyone but me, okay? â
â see you soon, baby girl. â
after everything was sent and done, clement put on the last safety gear before taking off. while on the road, he made mental notes to stop by the flower shop and the convenience store to pick up soheeâs favorites. now standing in front of her house, a bouquet of fresh dahlias in one hand and a bag of snacks in another, some chocolates and strawberry milk, all that reminded him of her, the young man rang the doorbell.
â sohee? iâm here. â
and there he waited patiently, to be greeted by his precious one.
