Sorry I was away for a little while, I was busy falling more in love! 😍 I couldn't believe my eyes when I found Oscar standing there in Parque Trianon, São Paulo. What was a Chileno even meant to be doing here in Brazil? I had no clue that he had organised a surprise visit with my friends for my Birthday, the best surprise that has ever happened to me! We spent a week and a half celebrating, exploring São Paulo, meeting some incredible people, and then finishing off the visit by going to Guaruja beach for a couple of days before he headed back to cold Chile. The best thing about saying goodbye yesterday was saying "see you on Friday". It feels like the world is getting smaller, and easier, and more inspirational, it feels like anything is possible with Oscar ❤️ It's been a crazy and wonderful four months knowing the best person in the world. My last night in Chile. We ran across Santiago trying to get to the top of Gran Torre before the sun went down, we made it! Then we sat on the floor for a while just watching the streaks of the car lights driving in circles on the streets bellow. I'm so glad I'm going back one more time before I leave South America in June! (at Gran Torre Santiago)

I dropped my external hard drive today, I thought for a long while I had lost all my photographs from my travels and work in SA 💔 Its probably one of the worst things that can happen to a photographer!! New projects coming to my website soon. Some personal, some professional, some artsy!! This photograph was taken in São Jorge, the most beautiful place I went to in Brazil. We swam in different rivers and waterfalls everyday. We were in a small town with only a few streets, everybody knew everybody and they were so kind! Cashoeira das Loquinhas, Alto Paraíso de Goiás. The most beautiful waterfall I visited in Brazil! With water so clear you could drink it as it fell into the pool of water. I wasn't originally planning to head up that way in Brazil, but last minute plans lead me there and it was one of the best choices I made. We made it to Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia, after 3 days of driving with a drunk driver who kept falling asleep. We weren't so worried on the flats, but when we got on the road again it was pretty terrifying. I just came back from Chile two days ago where I was working on a photography project for the past few weeks with @estoyhaciendola. We ended up going and talking to people living in campamento San Fransisco, a very poor and dangerous place where police are too scared to go to. It's place where there is crime every day; gun violence, homicide, no water, illegal electricity that is cut off in the winter, and the "houses" are made from scrap pieces of wood and metal. A lot of the people are too scared to leave their homes as it is so likely that they will be robbed, so despite having a "home", they are confined to their spaces and are rarely able to leave. In these campamentos young children have been hit with ricocheting bullets and often have to fall to the ground and crawl back to their homes to protect themselves. This is a little hyperlapse we did on our way out... We must remember that even though Chile is the most developed country in South America there is a lot of poverty that many people forget still exists here. (at Santiago, Chile)
