i think dead poets society is more relevant now in a world of generative ai because yes earning money is important, being efficient is important all that is so important but the arts, visual arts, music, film, dance, all of these are what makes life worth living!!

even if you don't like creating things, you still watch movies, listen to music, go to museums etc and the arts shouldn't be replaced by ai.

we don't create films, draw, sing, act purely for money (yes money is important but if you're an artist only for the money then your priorities are all wrong), we do it because of our passion and love for it.

and because we only have this one life, that makes creating things for ourselves all the more special. the process is special and the final product is special and what makes it special is knowing that you did that YOURSELF.
