A bit of progress. I took them on some car rides and we stayed at a friend's this weekend to give them a neutral space and look! Loki stopped running away. The were even some cuddles and grooming! We're back home and it's not perfect, but the aggression is far less

Feeling frustrated. After months of gentle bonding, Loki is still resistant. She went from being aggressive to terrified, running away when Pepper gets close. Pepper for her part can be kind or mean depending on her mood. Finally resorted to stress bonding and putting them together for a day which worked at first but they're reverting as soon as I move them to a bigger space. Gonna keep trying with the more intense bonding techniques. I know I'll succeed but it's starting to get to me.

(No idea why Pepper loves hanging out in her litter but she's content. And Loki's fur is still growing back from her surgery in September so that's why her stomach's all patchy. They're still cute tho!)

A week in and she's already figured out how to jump over the barrier that has successfully kept Gizmo and Pepper. I can see why she's called Loki

Yes, I can see why she was twice abandoned for being too aggressive. It couldn't possibly be because her previous owners didn't do their homework and treated her like an accessory instead of researching how to interact with an unfixed baby doe.

Surprise! And Loki makes 3. I wasn't intending on adopting another bun so soon but Loki was abandoned TWICE by uneducated humans and I just felt a connection. She's not fixed, so I'm gonna wait until after Pepper's surgery to introduce them. I tried today and pepper went haywire, attacking Gizmo and peeing everywhere. I think she felt her territory was threatened. Baby steps!
