Yusuke took his hand and pulled himself up, quickly pulling away after finding his balance.  “Would that be too much of a bother? But if you’re sure then yes I would love some sushi” he smiles, his tail wagging ever so slightly. 

“Do you want my keys it’d make it easier for you to get back in? Oh and money you need money don’t you” Yusuke began to busy himself exiting the bathroom first.

Goro took a moment longer than necessary before replying, eyes fixed on Yusuke’s tail. There was no doubt, it was actually wagging!

For some reason, the knowledge brought a spontaneous smile on Goro’s lips.

“It’s not a bother at all, I said I’d go myself if needed” Goro was quick to reassure the other with a warm smile as he put his coat back on and retrieved his gloves, putting them back as well.

“Don’t bother about money, I’m basically freeloading here at your place for the time being, I might as well make myself useful by buying lunch. Having the keys would be useful, though. Any type of sushi you prefer?”

“Ah yes” he finds the keys in a bowl and throws them in Akechi’s direction. 

“Sushi wise well, shrimp tempura roll, spider roll, oh Maki would be nice too... but really whatever you can afford” he smiles at the other if slightly shyly. It had been some time since he’d had a proper meal let alone with someone.

“Well there isn’t really much here, sushi would be nice but I don’t know anywhere close by that delivers..” he mumbles to himself going over many foods he fancied and had yet to try.

“I am unsure… but please, continue” he takes a breath and sends a smile to the other. Whatever it was, it would go away once they were done. SO he simply had to bare with the strange feeling, some type of nervousness, he grips the side of the bath.

“I’m right about done, to be honest. Your tail is back to its original color… all we need to do is dry it…”

He doubted that he could  just wring it dry, so instead he grabbed a nearby towel, holding it with one hand as he carefully took the tail back in his free hand, feeling it twitch slightly in his grasp.

“I’m gonna dry it a bit with a towel, then we could use a blowdryer at a low setting and see how it works…” he said as he carefully wrapped the towel around the tail, starting to dry the wet fur carefully, almost lovingly, mindful of Yusuke’s reactions…

If it was possible for Yusuke to purr he would be doing so at this moment. Content with Akechi’s movements and he could feel less cold now due to the towel.  He however didn’t want to put a blow dryer on it, he hated the idea, he didn’t have one anyway. The only kind of blow dry would be if....

He was oddly silent, the experience was soothing. Pleasurable?  Goro was gentle and this only improved as the tail hit the water. Yusuke expected to yelp, or to atleast feel a shiver of some sort but the water was just right and he felt suddenly calm about the whole ordeal he had been facing. 

As he felt the fingers within the fur his eyes unconsciously fell closed. As Akechi called out to him he could barely hear the voice and it took time for him to come to his sense once more. 

“What was that? Sorry I was abit out of it…”

“I asked whether I was doing fine or was being too rough with your tail.”

Judging by how relaxed Yusuke looked and sounded, eyes half-closed and voice low and sleepy, it seemed that he was doing fine though, further evidenced by the way the tail lay limp and motionless in his hands, only twitching occasionally.

The paint was practically gone by now, but Goro kept running his fingers through the white fur, just to be sure there was no leftover paint in it (or at least, that’s way he told himself).

Once satisfied with how clean the tail loooked, he let the water flow down the drain and turned the shower faucets, carefully picking it up.

“I’m gonna rinse your tail so that we get all trace of paint away, just pit up with it a fes more minutes…”

He nods, his eyes closing once more, as the water dissipates from around his tail it gets just slightly uncomfortable, cold even. He can really feel Goro’s fingers in his fur and the more Yusuke focussed on the sensation of touch the more lively the tail became.  A twisting feeling below his stomach pulled his eyes back open. 

What was this feeling?
