most cringe moment of my life was when my grandparents, who i am not out to, got me a birthday card with a shirtless man on it for my 18th birthday, and i opened the card in front of my parents and aunts and uncles, all of whom i AM out to, and there was a tangible silence when every adult in my family who knows im gay was like “oh god whos going to tell them”
