That time to show how much you love each other! ( Maybe! )
The language of the flowers is something symbolic to Glae and its residents! The Garden of Vita, just North of Glae’s central capital city, is blooming and bustling with flowers of every kinds! Every year during the flower ceremony, certain flowers are picked, thirteen different species in fact, for everyone to give and show their feelings to another!
Below you will find the flowers that vendors are selling for you to give your loved ones ( or most hated rivals )!
Acacia Blossom - Concealed Love; showing these flowers will reveal your true affection to your potential lover!
Blood Rose - Death; give these flowers to those who have passed on to the other life! Blood roses are literal leeches and scavengers that drain the blood out of corpses! If you touch them without gloves, they will use their thorns to prick you and drain you of your blood!
Cannabis - Live Life to the Fullest; give these flowers to those who need a little lighting up in their life!
Coral Rose - Friendship; give these flowers to your best bro!
Crocus - Cheerfulness; receiving these flowers, means you always make someone smile!
Forget-Me-Not - Memories; a flower that symbolizes cherished memories of the past and present!
Gemis - Brilliance; these flowers are very rare to find but flower pickers have scrounged up enough to sell them ( at nearly 800 gold pieces! ) Give these flowers to those who are worth more than you will ever be!
Hyacinth ( Purple ) - Apologies; a flower to be given to show your apology to another.
Lily ( Orange ) - Hatred; know someone you hate? Send them these! Glae orange lilies will spray a substance like mace into your rival’s eyes!
Peony - Shame; give these to those you wish could feel the same shame as you do with all your dreams where you don’t wear clothes in public!
Snapdragon - Deception; give these flowers to the person who has ruined your life and want to break up with! They’ll make your heartbreak smell like rotten meat for a week!
Venus Fly Trap - Be Gone; a very popular and dangerous flower in Glae, the venus fly trap is approximately six feet tall and will devour whoever crosses its way! We recommend you to put these flowers outside your door for any unwanted trespassers!
Violet ( White ) - Take a Chance; a perfect flower to ask out that honey you’ve been eyeing across the way for quite some time!
You step through a door, any door really, not knowing what to expect, and outside, you find a haven. Well, not really- not until you explore it more, of course!
The first thing that greets you is the massive cherry tree - the one with the Door that you apparently just stepped out of. Perhaps it greets you with a few cherry blossoms, or maybe it simply stands there. Either way, there’s something magical about this tree, and it’s not just because you didn’t see it earlier!
In fact, there’s magic everywhere, and it’s all interwoven between the residents of this new country, Bon Cerise. Many of them seem to be regular people, but others….well, they’re from different worlds, just like you, and have found a home in the country that has gladly taken them in. This is the magic that you sense, the feeling of family coming from so many people from so many places and times. It’s a magic that Bon Cerise treasures, and it only grows stronger as more connections are formed between the worlds, so does the magic grow more beautiful. This, the residents tell you, is the power of Fate.
Whether you came to Bon Cerise with a reason or just decided to take a peek and wound up in another world, the people of Bon Cerise welcome you, as does the Fate Tree that looms over the town of Center Springs. Pick a cherry, pick a flower, and pick a place to stay in the new country that you’ll call home!
Cherry Fates is a Fated MFRP group with a twist- all fated couples and groups are expected to be between characters from different fandoms in order to foster relationships and promote inter-fandom interactions! Of course, Fating isn’t necessary, and there are also random Fating and non-Fating options for those who don’t have anybody to Fate with.
Pre-opening reserves are now open, and will last until our grand opening on December 1st!
We’re glad to see so many offerings being given to the Goddess Rie! Her moon surely glows and blesses down upon you!
As we continue our festivities, we come to celebrate another important part of the Riese Festival. It’s time for Mistlefoe!
Mistlefoe, is somewhat similar to mistletoe, but better. When you find yourself underneath the mistletoe flower, you must draw battle with that person you come across! It’s a friendly spar of course, and the winner is blessed with a special prize from the Goddess Rie! There’s no limit to how many spars you may undergo, but the prizes may come in smaller packages.
Mistlefoe is placed randomly throughout Glae, so there’s no telling when and where your duel will be!
As apart of giving thanks to the Goddess Rie, it’s important for offerings to be made to your local shrine! When Rie’s moon is bright in the sky, you come to the obelisk shrine that has been decorated with lights and candles. You kneel before the shrine and say your prayer; you make one wish that you want before the year ends.
It is said that if you give an offering and make a wish to the Goddess Rie, you will receive a present from the Goddess herself. But perhaps it’s only a rumor... or is it?
This is the time where the Goddess Rie will give you ( your character ) gifts! If you make an offering to a shrine and tag your post with #rieblessing, you may just get a special something in your inbox! There’s honestly no limit to these gifts, but your present will depend on how good of an offering you give to the Goddess Rie. So give wisely.
Hello, hello! Sorry for the abrupt question, but, what is the official language of Glaedreon (or for Glae if everyone speaks the same thing)? I might've overlooked it and missed it and I apologize. I'm just checking as my OC isn't from there and I need to figure out if she at least understands some things (and how to work it out)!~
That’s quite alright! We implore you to ask away!
Natives to Glaedreon are able to speak both English and Latin! Although there is a mix of languages and communication standards between residents of Glaedreon, Latin is the root of all languages and something all races could communicate with. But a majority during these modern times of Glaedreon speak English, since it’s a growing language that everyone seems to understand just as well as Latin.
If your character isn’t able to understand or speak either/or, we have an alternative! In Glae, there is a special potion noted as a Serpret. A Serpret is easy to make and available to all residents ( your character ). This potion is taken orally and used to help your character lift that communication barrier; i.e., Serpret will allow you to understand what another individual is saying if you do not understand that specific language ( and they’ll be able to understand you as well )! Nifty right? The only side effect, is that it may cause your tongue to swell for a few days and may make your skin a little blue. But it’s a good price to pay, right?
Of course this is only an alternative and the choice is yours whether or not you want to take it!
The Riese Festival is upon us! Rie, the Goddess of Death and the third moon that circles Glae, has come to give us her blessing!
This is a human holiday, but we know Winters are tough and Rie means no harm, but it is just the cycle of life! So in celebration of her essential part, the Riese Festival is formed to honor the Goddess Rie and all she does for us.
Shrines are placed throughout Glaedreon, for you to offer your prayers and offerings to the Goddess of Death. In return, you will surely be blessed with a new year to come! And each week, the Goddesses will have a surprise for you too!
This week, the Goddess Rie has decided she will gift the people with…
Food! Lots and lots of food! With the help of your friendly Resistance and the Order, markets will be stocked with food and goodies for you and your loved ones at a cheap and reasonable price! By sharing your meals and your treats with your loved ones and neighbors, good fortune is sure to come to you! Food, of course, will be given to the homeless as well, so you don’t have to worry about them!
There’s a rumor going around that if you make a cake for your loved ones, you’ll be granted with a bit of a magic boost. Just a secret between you and me.
Please enjoy the festivities and the decorations that have been put on display! Lights, presents and more are sure to come!
The planet Glae is vastly different compared to its’ sister planet Earth, or any of its relatives. Not only through the magical leylines that course through the planets veins, but its’ rotations and orbit patterns as well.
Glae is a planet that rotates at high obliquity, similar to Uranus. Imagine that the cardinal directions of the compass that we are familiar with are tilted on its side, and that’s how you would read any of Glae’s maps. The poles are horizontal and have the most extreme climate, while the equator is the most hospitable throughout the whole year. However, the equator remains moderate and can be described as having “sweater weather” year-round, thanks to its state of perpetual twilight. This is similar to the climate of the Arctic Circle of Earth, where the sun might not set for several days at a time, but on a larger scale and for a longer duration.
The seasons are quite literally polarized. When it’s winter in the North Pole, it’s plunged into total darkness, while summer in the South Pole has several months of sunshine. Both Poles are always characterized as being “Very Hot” and “Very Cold.”
During the summer, energy is stored in the oceans and released in the atmosphere in winter, allowing the planet to keep itself in a relatively balanced state that allows it to sustain life, even in its extremities. Along with this, temperatures in both polar regions are uniform thanks to consistencies in total exposure/isolation to sunlight. In winter, winds nearly vanish and very seldom will a cold snap happen within the “twilight zone,” but coast lines will recede slightly as ocean water freezes. In summer, oceans become swampy and high winds will pick up and blow warm rains to the closer-most side of the equator. Storms are more extreme and the “sunrise” side (the side of the equator having summer) of the equator will reap successful harvests, facilitating trades with the “sunset” side of the equator (the side of the equator having winter.)
Hello, hello! I have a question in regards to the beastiary and was wondering about the possible choices that are seaside related! Would beasts like selkies and sea serpents be possible for applications? As well, how does magic work in the land of Glae? Does the majority of the natural population have magic? is it something that can be honed or you must be born with the gift of magic, etc? And, can you elaborate on the Dragon-Human dynamic in Glae's society? Thank you~ :D
Hello! Thanks for reaching out. Yep, selkies and sea serpents are welcome! The current beastiary is there as a list of suggestions, but we encourage everyone to bring their own ideas that fit within the theme. Magic is literally everywhere in Glae. Generally, the entire population has access to it or lives with it to a certain extent, and it depends on the type of creature that your character is. For instance, dragons will naturally be born with magic and generally have a higher level of proficiency than humans, who generally are not born with magic. That does not mean that a human could not learn to harness magic for themselves. Anyone can learn magic (humans can train to become witches/wizards/etc.) and just like any other pursued interest, their proficiency will improve with how dedicated they are. Furthermore, an individual who is heavily influenced by magic will have an advantage over someone who isn’t, regardless of race (A dragon who is born and grows up around non-magic using humans will have stunted magical growth, but they could learn it later on. Or not, for instance.)So to answer your question if it’s honed or if they’re born with it, it’s a bit of both? Individual circumstances will be the ultimate deciding factor about how magically inclined your character is. We’re pretty lenient about this stuff so it’s up to you how you’d like to approach it! Humans and dragons are neutral towards each other for the most part, specifically where they live together in larger cities. The consensus seems to be, we don’t have to like each other, but we have to work together, just like any large society! Dragons (hopefully) won’t go attacking humans outright, but there will be the individual or group here and there that will see themselves as better than humans. Others might not bother with humans at all. Outside of the cities, some dragon clans are exclusive and keep to themselves anyway, so there might even be a chance that humans will never come across these dragons. As far as the different affiliations, certain members of the Black Dragon might be hostile towards humans, while the Order and the Resistance will be more welcoming. Of course, there will always be exceptions! Hopefully this clears things up for you, but do feel free to come back with any other questions you have!
