In that moment stopping seems not only improbable but impossible. the issue is only exasperated by the way she responds to his actions. her lips meet his and it almost feels like their body's meld together. how could he possibly be  expected to make the responsible decision with those things factored in? even as her warning came he refused to listen.

of course he failed to mention the fact that it was due to his own dampened senses that he didn't hear what she did. he pulled at her jeans, thump running over her hip where he knew their family mark was tattooed on her. his lips moved to her neck, kissing and biting possessively without any regard for what was outside the room.

it had been a mistake coming to vegas, or at least it was now that she had gotten herself hitched. the worst part of it all was being so drunk she couldn’t even remember his name. with the pounding hammers going off in her head, her memory was limited to the rays of sunlight peeking through the blinds that morning. only to open those doe orbs and find herself in bed with a stranger, or as she soon figured out      thanks to the sun bouncing of the diamond on her ring       he was actually her new husband. the brunette was certainly in for a rude awakening when she rolled over & spotted him, causing her to leap up from the bed.

                                        “what the hell is going on?”

he's still sound asleep when he hears it. a high pitched voice cutting through the morning air and jolting him from his sleep. it's shocking for more than one reason, the main one being that he doesn't remember going to bed with anyone. so how did, by his guess a female, get into his room. he sits up slowly, squinting at the source of the question (and disturbance). his own question is how the hell should he know, he's been sleeping! derek's  gaze settles on a thin brunette, wide eyed and apparently just as confused as he was to be in this room.

"what do you mean. why are you in my room?"
