Monster High and Ever After High shoe repaints

Before an after - Jinafire’s keyboard from the Fierce Rocker set.  The black keys on the repaint aren’t as nice as the original (almost as if they were painted by unsteady hands rather than a machine!) and the white keys need some retouching due to a sealant accident, but overall I’m pleased! Now all I need is to make a new strap for it.

Body done with Rust-o-leum spray paint in satin claret, antiquing and keys done with Duncan acrylic paints. Sealed with Rust-o-leum satin sealant.

Revamped Coffin Bean set. I sprayed the frame a matte black, for that nice cast iron look. The backdrop was painted with chalk board finish spray paint….which doesn’t actually work right on cardboard, so I covered the top portion with black, fine grit wet-dry sandpaper. The counter was done in two pieces with marble wallpaper from Spoonflower. This was the smooth (aka ‘wet stick’) paper. If I did this again, I’d use the woven peel-n-stick. As it is, I wound up tacking this down with spray glue, which was not ideal.

Now I just need to get some chalk and put up a menu!

Treesa repainted/restyled, at least where I am with her right now.

Her face and shoes have been fully repainted, and I’ve also added pint to her branches. She’s also got a new outfit.

the skirt is actually a barbie one, only the top part is by me. I’d originally made her a different skirt, which I might take pics of later, but wasn’t sure how I felt about it as a replacement ‘signature’ outfit. Also I just like the way this combo looked. I still might remake her an outfit though. 

Later I wanna repaint her base stand as well as the various hangers on she came with. It’s just a lot to do in one sitting as it were, and I wanna move onto another project in the meanwhile. Also, I do like where she is right now; I’m really enjoying her like this.
