To the ~1,000 or so followers I’ve gained over my years here, I thank you for your interest and support. But it looks like Tumblr is a sinking ship and I will be following the many NSFW creators that are being spread to the winds.

Do you know what this whole situation feels like? One of those apocalypse movies where the end of the world is inevitable but it’s something like a meteor or approaching threat.

We all know that the end is coming but it’s not like the world is burning around us. We get to live our lives as usual, until Dec.17th. Almost reminds me of movies like “These Final Hours” or “Seeking a friend for the end of the world”

It’s super interesting to see different people’s reactions to the end. Some are denying that it’ll actually happen, many are lifeboating it off-planet, and others are desperately trying to make contact with friends and those who they don’t want to lose contact with, following the end.

It makes me wonder what I would do if I actually faced a concrete expiration date. Would I just sit around and while away my time, or would I party like there’s literally no tomorrow?

Right now, what I feel is just a sense of calm. Like whatever happens, happens and nothing I do will do anything to change the actual outcome of things.

Might as well just sit on the beach and watch the pretty colors as wall of flames close in.

I hope to see some of you in other lives/sites.

There's a petition going around about keeping adult content on tumblr. Not sure if it's gonna really make an impact but you never know.

Honestly, ‘I’ wouldn’t sign it.

Tumblr has made their choices and actions clear. Their intention to nuke all of us was exposed but covered up by ‘coding errors’. Now they have gone full nuclear. Making a petition to try to overturn this decision is fine, but it doesn’t change the companies stance on this at all nor does it change how they handle this site. It would only be a matter of time before they try this again, and again, rather than attack the real problem.

I usually am all for protesting an injustice, but this one I would rather be done with. Tumblr doesn’t like us, they would rather pretend we are the problem than DARE upset their parent companies by keeping us around and getting rid of the real perpetrators. Signing a petition to try to get them to keep us would be like a friend bringing you to a party and no one there likes you, only for your friend to say, “they are staying! deal with it!”

Its not welcoming and it’s only a matter of time before the next underhanded move to get rid of us. They already tried to quarantine us to the ‘marked explicit’ part of Tumblr which could only be accessed by logging in and attacking creators by making posts with external links pretty much not show up.

I’m sorry for all this negativity, I really never am this negative, but I am pretty torn up inside. If Tumblr, the site that promised a ‘positive environment for creative expression’ would shoot us down and keep the problematic content, then who is to say we would be welcomed elsewhere for long? Will Twitter turn on us? Will the new sites popping up promising to be a home for us turn tail for advertising profits?

I’m sure some people are confused why I am this upset when there are other sites to host art, and it’s because of the community. Tumblr felt like a home and I had this great Creator <-> Fan interaction capability here and I loved it. I was able to not only make art, but make stories with the interjection of my fans. It made my days and it was the most fun I had creating in so long…

I’m tired… i’m so tired… i’m sorry for this negativity. You just reach a point where you can’t take it anymore, where life just wants to keep stomping on you and all you can do is lash out and say–
