IMPORTANT INFO: 

My Tara is in fact, part non-human as was included in the original conception of the character because hey, it’s Neat. And Fun. Details like what that non-human part is will come over time but it’s 100% an inherently benign species, nothing secretly evil/dangerous here.

Naturally we largely ignore her death in this house, however to allow some kinda space for the Dark Willow plot line should people want to engage with it at all— She was most definitely shot but while life threatening it was something she was able to survive long enough to get to the Hospital and get treatment, possibly because of her mixed species status. Which then ironically puts her life in danger while in the hospital as not all the medications and methods used to treat a pure human are effective/safe for her which leads to a lot of close calls, discoveries of allergies etc., meaning there’s plenty of very scary shit happening to her while she’a in a coma struggling to survive.

Tara’s concern grows and she starts to wring her hands. She runs through everything she knows that might be relevant in her head. It’s not much really, she’s never had to deal with something like this before but it’s not impossible that Cordelia is right. “I mean possibly? Maybe? F-from what I understand your visions are a direct line from the Powers That Be, that’s a lot of energy and magic being sent directly into your body. Magic being channeled through the human body... well, there’s a reason we make all these spells and rituals and use objects while doing magic. It can help make it all happen sure, but it also give channels for the magic to run through that aren’t the casters body.” She hesitates, unsure of if she really wants to say this but at the end of the day did she really HELP Cordelia if she didn’t? “I know that channeling through the body can kill humans, either through one powerful spell or through repeated use of the body as a conduit....h-have.... have you been to a doctor yet for the migranes?”

headcannon that is so obviously true i don't think it even counts as a headcannon anymore:

tara makes the absolute best breakfast on the planet. including the absolute best coffee on the planet. willow believed for a long time that she was using magic to make it so perfect but she's not, she just understands somethign no one else does.
