I realized I drew this back in February and then just.... never posted it anywhere. I've been drawing a lot it but not really posting much, so sorry for that. Anyway I'm very proud of this piece, where I sort of revisited an idea/piece from college.

An updated full reference for Quet!

The main changes are that I've both improved in drawing and specifically improved in drawing him, having refined and more or less gotten a vaguely consistent idea of how he looks and how I want to draw him. Also he bought some fingerless gloves to go over the wraps on his hands a couple sessions back.

Anyway, my little pact of the tome archfey warlock is still holding on to his secrets, though I think the facade might FINALLY be starting to crack.

🎪✨Little Circus-y Charms!✨🎪

I've been playing around with a slightly different style of drawing and having a blast, so I had some charms made. These are approximately 2.5in, double sided clear acrylic with a resin seal on the back so the designs won't get scratched off! They come with a little gold star shaped keyring to hang them from whatever you'd like.

We had a little Incident in a recent session, where a long rest turned into a long argument, and we had some of the party wanting to take a walk to cool off and some of the party wanting to split off and camp separately because they thought it would be safer for the rest of us, and Quet was just desperately trying to get everyone to calm down and just go back to bed and deal with everything in the morning. Into an increasing moment of tension, Quet (unconsciously) used Fey Presence to try charming the party into listening to him. Some were charmed, others weren’t, and the party still split for the evening (and our Rogue spent the night trying to keep Quet calm). It was fine in the end but that sure was... a Thing.

Druid and Warlock casting the cantrip Chill Touch

The first time I had Quet cast chill touch, I made a point to describe the skeletal hand of the spell as looking like it was made of jointed sewing needles (inspiration taken from Coraline and a nod to his patron as the source of his power). So when our party’s Druid, Amanita, cast it for the first time a few sessions later, we all got to discussing how the spell might look different for her. Someone suggested the dead mans fingers fungus and I couldn’t shake the idea, so I decided to draw them both casting it. Same spell, different look.

Sometimes you just want to let your tired warlock hug a dog for a bit, ok? (even if there’s.... something a little odd about that dog, hmmm)

If I were going to give Quet an animal companion or familiar, it would probably be a borzoi, just cause they’re silly and alien (fey?) looking, but also apparently very sweet and calm (from what little I’ve read around). However, our party already has several companions and familiars, so I probably won’t do anything with this. Still! A fun idea, and it’s nice to let the poor dude have something comforting occasionally.
