Had she been back in her game she would have glitched in surprise. However her glitch had been lost since she was now in the human world instead. She quickly straightened up to make herself look a little more confident and less like a meek little girl. ( Which granted she was. ) “ It wouldn’t hurt you to be little nicer to people. Nobody likes someone who goes around scaring little helpless children. “

Ryan gave the other a confused look, brows coming together. “Sugar Rush? Yeah! I used to play that back in the arcade at home all the time! Though, they would always kick me out because I wasn’t supposed to be in there… Wait, did you say you’re from a video game? So, the people inside there are really real? I knew it!! Pepper sighed before nodding. It was like this guy hadn’t been listening at all. “ Yes That’s exactly what I said. ” she told him. She then nodded at his question. “ Yup! And we’re not aloud to talk to anyone outside our game. It’s against the rules. “ she explained.

That would explain why you look so adorable. ” Bry let out a soft chuckle as he tilted his head to the side in amusement. “ I think I saw one ‘round the corner, but I’m not so sure if this will work… but it’s worth a try I suppose. ”

Her eyes brightened up and she nodded. “ I am! Have you ever heard of the game Sugar Rush Before? “ Pepper blushed at the compliment. “ Well aren’t you just sweeter then Caramel. “  Her mouth fell open and she clasped her hands together tightly. “ Oh that’s perfect! I’m sure my mama's worried sick by now. “

     A habit has developed within the old vampire. A habit in which he glares through his sunglasses at the sun high in the sky while he stands in a shaded area to avoid it. It felt as if that giant ball of burning inconvenience was mocking him. Halloween Town was always coated in darkness and now in the light he has become far more sour than usual. Leaning against a tree, hearing laughter from a child who thinks it’s perfectly alright to be happy in his presence. How sickening. It trots over, pigtails a mess, mud smeared on it’s cheek and grass stains on it’s knees. Before even a word can leave the child’s mouth, Knox sprouts fangs, his eyes turn white and he hisses at the little creature. A scream leaves it’s lips, tears bubble forth and it scampers away fast. Feeling eyes on him, he turns his glare toward where he feels prying eyes looking at him. ‘ What? I hate children. ‘

Pepper had witnessed the whole entire thing, frowning in response as the kid ran off. When his eyes turned to her she couldn’t help but jump back a little in surprise. She blinked before working up the courage to address the other. “ Hey that wasn’t very nice. “ she interjected. “ All they wanted to do was play. How would you like it if someone scared you off like that? “ the girl lightly scolded him. Although she was hoping she wouldn’t soon come to regret it.

Drake had been heading to the park in order to work on an experiment, toting his messenger bag filled with what he needed. It satisfied his need to continue discovering new things, plus it kept his mind off of how much he missed Corona and his family. Upon spotting Pepper, the 16 year old gave a soft smile as he answered, “It’s fine. Are you alright?”

Pepper blinked up at the boy and bit down on her lip. “ Well.. not exactly. I’m so confused I’ve never been outside my game before. “ she confessed. “ You wouldn’t happen to know if there’s an arcade around here would you?  “

After the few weeks since his arrival, Bryant still felt as if he didn’t quite fit in around here. It was nothing quite like home and that made him feel all the more anxious about being stuck in a place like this. So it wasn’t uncommon for the boy to have his head in the clouds, daydreaming of simpler days. His train of thought was interrupted though as he felt someone collide with him. His eyes flickered down to meet the girl standing before him, a smile forming on his lips. “ It’s all good, cupcake. It was partially my fault, which I don’t say often. “ He chuckled. “ Where are you headed in such a hurry? “

The girl glanced at him before letting out a sigh relief that he didn’t seem at all upset.  Pepper quickly giggled at the nickname. “ Well I was trying to find an arcade. I just thought if I found one maybe I would be able to find a way back home if I did. “ she explained.

Ryan felt someone bump into him again – an occurrence that seemed to happen often now that he was bigger. He turned to her and offered a large smile, shaking his head. “Hey there, don’t worry about it! I get in the way a lot, so I’m kind of used to it. I’m Ryan, by the way. You look new! Where are you from?”

Peppers eye’s flickered up to the other in front of her. Her lashes fluttered before filling with relief that he didn’t seem upset. “ Oh good. “ she breathed out. She then seemed perplexed by the question. “ New? I suppose I am. “ she replied slowly, before nodding. “ Oh I’m from Sugar Rush! It’s a video game, have you heard of it? “ she questioned.

Pepper had never been outside her game before. ( Not only was it frowned upon but also very dangerous ) Naturally being so far from home troubled the young girl. She walked around trying to find something that might have given her a clue of what was going on, finding an arcade being her top priority. Pepper had been so caught up with what she had been doing she hadn’t even noticed the other in front of her. “ Oh Good Gum drops! I’m soooo sorry. “ she apologized quickly.
