hey, i'm raven, and this is my art blog that i've had for almost a decade! woah!! i'm mostly a multifandom and OC artist, but i occasionally post other illustration and design work here too. my main blog (mostly reblogs) is @glittercrows

I don’t know exactly why, but I believe it may be due to the presence of many scammers. Unfortunately, there are some people who exploit others. However, my campaign has been reviewed and verified by trusted individuals.

I am responsible for taking care of 8 members of my family, and there is no provider or source of income for them except me. The situation is extremely difficult. The war has not ended every day there are many innocent people losing their lives for no reason.

Prices have risen drastically. For example, even a small plate of vegetable salad now costs more than $10, and many other basic items are very expensive. In addition, the value of the dollar has dropped against the shekel, where $1 is now about 2.9 shekels, while it used to be around 3.8. There is severe inflation and a very high increase in prices.

I want to share some work by my new friend Ayoush, as well as tell you how you can help support her and her family!

Ayoush is a 26 year old living in Gaza whose family I've donated to in the past. She's a teacher who picked up crochet while studying at uni, and she's really good at it! But, because of Israeli bombardments, both her main work and her crocheting business were destroyed.

Recently, she shared with me that her dream is to start crocheting again, but with how expensive living in Gaza has become, she needs help. I've opened a crowdfunding campaign on her behalf in the hopes that she'll be able to re-establish her crochet business. The past days have been very hard for us — heavy rain damaged our tent, and most of our belongings were soaked. I was also blessed with a newborn baby, and we urgently need milk, diapers, warm blankets, food, and medicine.

my original holiday art plans this year were much bigger - I wanted to create separate works for multiple end-of-year holidays, but with jesus' birthplace still under occupation and an antisemitic massacre only 2 hours from where i live, something so festive seemed inappropriate (and because i was sick for almost 2 weeks, implausible too)

so instead, i have something more modest. here, the cande represents the celebration of light that unifies many december holidays, as well as a memorial for those who didn't live to see this holiday season.
