I am feeling such incredible love for Sheila right now. It took over 7 years to feel this love. I of course love her tremendously. Honestly, more than anyone. But I always felt a wall between us. I couldn't name it but I could feel it. Along with the shame of being such a devoted, crazy dog mom and secretly not fully loving my dog. And here I am, watching her play, feeling the wall break down and crumble. Because I realized realized that she's a mirror of everything I hate in myself. Another signal of my failure. The disappointment. And figuring out how to still love those little broken pieces in me is allowing me feel complete love for her.

It is truly frustrating and fucked up how many lives have been hurt and killed at the hands of the trump and his administration. What ICE is doing is inhumane I hope we as Americans understand that this is not normal and make the right decisions for the midterms but to also understand our rights and be more empathetic for we have to protect our neighbors that are immigrants but apparently also Americans citizens.
