Can I request something (oneshot, imagine, headcannon, whatever you can do) of Hassel from ScarVio with a reader who's scared of loud sudden noises? (You know, fireworks, balloons, thunder, etc).

Hiii I hope this is okay! This is the first time I’ve written for Hassel!

You’re afraid of loud noises; thunder, fireworks, balloons popping, all of it. While some of it you can’t get away from, such as thunder, there were times you could get away from it, like now, when there are planned events with fireworks at the end. You had heard about a festival in which there were going to be fireworks involved, so you knew you had to leave for the night, but to where? Well, none other than your boyfriend’s house!

“I’m sure he won’t mind.” You said aloud as you were packing up a bag for the night. Your Lycanroc only nodded as they helped you grab a few things you were missing.

“Oh, thank you, buddy.” You pat their head and grabbed your bag, putting it on your shoulders before walking outside with your Pokemon hot on your heels.

“Sorry, buddy, but I’m going to have to put you back in your pokeball for now.” Lycanroc pouts a little, but nodded in understanding as you returned them to their ultra ball.

As you were locking up the house, you called a taxi to bring you to your boyfriend’s house. As you were leaving, you decided to call up Hassel.

“Hello?” He answered after a couple rings.

“Hassel! Hello!” You responded with a smile on your face.

“Oh! Hello, my dear. Is there something you wanted to talk about?”

“Yeah, actually, I wanted to tell you that… I’m on my way over to your place.”

“Oh? Did something happen?”

“Oh, no, nothing major, just there’s a festival by my house that will have fireworks and… you know how I am.”

“I am aware. Well, don’t you worry, I’ll be waiting for you.”

“Thank you, Hassel, I really appreciate it.”

“You’re welcome, my dear Y/n.”

“Well, I’m almost here, I’ll see you soon.”

“Very well. I’ll see you soon.” And with that, you hung up, looking out the window now. It didn’t take you much longer to reach your destination, as you waved the driver and pokemon goodbye, you walked up to the door and knocked, smiling faintly as Hassel opened up the door.

“Good evening, Y/n.”

“Good evening.” Hassel moved to the side to let you into the house, you walked inside and he shut the door behind you.

“Have you had dinner yet, Y/n?”

“No, not yet. I figured by the time I finished the festival was going to start, and I wanted to get over here before then.”

“Go set your things down and I’ll make dinner, okay?”

“Sounds good to me.” You went to the spare room, where you would usually stay when you slept over at his house, and set your bag down. While you were setting your things down, you heard a loud noise from behind you all of a sudden, making you yelp in fear before you were pulled back… into the arms of Hassel’s Baxcalibur, who looked happy to see you.

“Goodness, Baxcalibur!” You chuckled a bit as you shook your head. “I’m happy to see you too, but you can’t just sneak up on me like that!” He let you go from the hug and followed you back into the living room, then into the kitchen.

“Are you alright, Y/n? I heard a noise.” Hassel asked you, a slightly worried look on his face.

“I’m fine, love, just your Baxcalibur gave me a scare by sneaking up on me!”

“Oh goodness, I’m sorry about that, my dear.”

“It’s alright, he wasn’t trying to scare me, I know he was just happy to see me.” You gave the dragon type a little pat on the head as he leaned down for you to do so.

“Well… that’s good. Anyways, dinner will be ready in just a moment.”

“Thank you, Hassel, for everything.”

“It’s not a problem, Y/n.” He smiled softly as you made your way over to him, hugging him, but also taking a look to see what he was making. It was your favorite, (insert favorite food here)! Your eyes lit up at the sight before letting go of Hassel.

“You made my favorite..!”

“I sure did. Now go take a seat and I’ll bring you a plate/bowl.” You nodded and went over to the table before taking a seat at the table. You watched as Hassel brought you a plate/bowl of your favorite food, setting it down in front of you before he kissed your forehead.

“I hope you like it.” You waited a few moments for it to cool off before you cautiously took the first bite.

“Have you been taking lessons from Saguaro? Because this tastes absolutely amazing! So much better than last time!” Hassel chuckled a bit in response, and you could’ve sworn you saw a faint blush on his face.

“You caught me. I asked him to help me, as I told him it was for you, and of course he agreed to it.”

“How sweet.” You two talked for a little while as you finished up your dinner, him taking your plate/bowl and taking it to the sink to wash and put away. You were about to say something when you heard a rather loud noise from outside, in which you made a noise of fear in response, your eyes wide.

“Y/n?” Hassel looked back at you, setting the plate/bowl in the sink before he rushed over to you, pulling you into a hug as there was another loud noise outside, one that sounded like a firework.

“Hey, it’s okay, I’m here..” Hassel held you close to him, bringing you to the couch before sitting down with you, wrapping a blanket around your body before pulling you back to him.

“It’s okay..” he kissed your forehead and looked out the window, seeing a few bright colors light up the sky before the noise rang out, making you tremble in his arms as you practically buried your face into his chest. Hassel gently runs his fingers along your back, holding you close to him to help calm you down.

“It’s okay, they’re gone now. It must have just been a few stray fireworks from the festival.” How was that even possible? Unless some jerk took a couple fireworks and set them off away from the festival. Hassel thought to himself but shook his head as he focused on helping you calm down now.

“Y/n.” He said softly, having you look up at him. “Focus on me, and my voice, okay?” You don’t say anything as you now focus on him, instead of the commotion outside.

“You’re okay, just breathe, sweetheart.” He breathed with you to help you calm your breathing. “There you go.” He smiled softly and went back to lightly rubbing your arm in a gentle, soothing motion.

“…I’m sorry.. for panicking like that..” you suddenly said once you felt you were calmed down enough.

“There’s no need to apologize, Y/n. Practically everyone is afraid of something. You’re afraid of loud noises, and that’s okay. It’s not a silly fear, and you know I’ll always be there to help you.”

“…thank you.” You mumbled, just loud enough for him to hear as you were getting tired after your little panic attack.

“You’re welcome, my dear. Now let’s go get some rest, I’m sure you’re exhausted after all that.” You slowly nodded in response, resting your head on his chest as he stood up, making his way to his room.

“You won’t be sleeping in the guest room tonight, I want to be there with you just in case.” You don’t even argue with him as he carried you into his room and set you down on the bed.

“I’ll go grab your bag, and you can change into your night clothes, okay?” With that said, Hassel left the room, coming back a few moments later with your bag, handing it to you. You took your night clothes out of the bag, which was just a simple shirt and shorts with (design of choice) on them. Hassel grabbed some clothes to change into as well, stepped out of the room and left you to change.

“You can come back in now.” You softly called out to him once you were done and now lying in bed. Hassel stepped back into the room, now changed as well, before crawling into bed beside you, pulling you close to him. You closed your eyes as you rest your head on his chest again. You were pretty tired after the day’s events, and you were just happy to have Hassel there beside you.

“Sleep well, my love.” Was the last thing you heard before you drifted off to sleep, Hassel making sure you were asleep before falling asleep as well.

I've always liked the fact that some characters have fears or phobias, they make them easier to empathize). And now imagine that the characters have our phobia, it's the not you are alone, you are not crazy that we need sometimes. But without further blahblah let's get started

-Komodo (Animal Mechanicals): This is the character that enlightened me as a child and for whom I make this list. Mechanimals are, that, robot animals, that go on missions, learn things, a preschool series basically. In this episode, they had to go to a volcano that releases balloons, but they were exploding, and they had to find a way to stop them. And as they go to the island, one of the balloons explodes and Komodo freaks out, and BOOM, my child's mind lit up. The simple fact that a character has my fear changed my world. -Lacey (Corner Gas): I found this from pure searching. In short, they throw a party for this character Lacey, who seems to have balloonphobia, and then at the end of the chapter she goes to therapy with a friend who also has it and now she can take them better. [You can find this chapter in some "third party" service]

-Clyde (The Loud House): Another that I found watching cartoons. In one chapter, Lincoln's friend, Clyde, mentions having strange reactions when trying to blow up balloons (the typical symptoms, dizziness, blurred vision, etc.) And although he tries to overcome it, he still cannot.

-BoBoiBoy: This series shows how far off the internet I managed to get by looking for info about my phobia hahahaha. In short, it is an Malaysian series about a boy with superpowers. In one of those, his enemy catches him, and takes him to a torture room to get information from him, where by mistake his henchmen throw him a party. Angry by mistake he pops a balloon, and discovers that BBB scares him. They put him to the limit and he manages to unleash his superpower. [You can find this scene on YouTube]

-Roy (The IT Crowd): Now with a series a little more known. Roy mentions that he is going to a party, which his friend asks if it was that he did not like parties, to which he responds one of the best phrases I use to explain my phobia "Balloons explode Jen, they explode so suddenly and unexpectedly, that they have the capacity to give me a little fright, and I find that unbearable." -Snails (MLPEg): Of all this was the most unexpected. In this special of "Choose your ending", the equestria girls should see how to move props in the background of a theater easily, if you choose the Pinkie Pie, she will change things for balloons so that they move more easily. Between scenes, Snail mentions that he is not afraid of balloons, which can be seen as obviously not, and even accompanies his friend when he is scared to explode one. -Brainy (Supergirl): This one is kinda new. Even tho I don't watch Supergirl, I'm always up for good representation of our phobia. In one of the newest episodes, some characters are facing their fears, even tho the majority of the characters have "emotional" fears (Betrayal, loneliness, lossing a loved one), Brainy has some sort of fear of balloons. He can see the room full of them, but he can still do his job very well (even tho he knows they aren't real). Fans theorized that the fear itself it's a metaphor for his true worries and power(I guess, correct me if I'm wrong) popping out at any moment. -Humf: Humf is a little monster who lives everyday adventures and discovers the world around him. In one of the episodes, Humf is playing with his friends, when his uncle came to visit him bringing balloons to play. At first everything seem fun, playing with the air that came out of the balloon, chasing the balloon around and playing with the static, but for accident, Humf sits on the balloon, making it pop. After that, he realized balloons are loud, so he refuses to play with another balloons for fear of popping. Looking for a way to get back Humf to the games, his uncle starts making sound with the mouth of the balloon, thing that calls the attention of Humf. With help of his friend, Humf is back to play. Even tho Humf is still scared of the pops, he finds his way to play with balloons again. For me, the one of the best representations of this phobia. -A.N.T. Farm: Olive Doyle claims she has many phobias, including "ghosts, vampires, witches, zombies, leprechauns, giraffes, double decker buses, balloons and... (shudders) curly fries." Just mentioned as a comic relief I guess.

-King of the hill: Bill seems scared when Hank mentioned balloons. just mentioned once.

Kinda but not explicit] -Bob's burguer: In the episode "It snakes a village" when the family goes to visit Linda's parents to a seniors home village, the regiment seems to be filled with old people (ehemswingersehem), but points aside, it seems like Linda's mom, Gloria, is easily startles by loud sudden noises, such as the back lid of the car being closed, people surprising her from behind, and balloons of course. On the other side, his husband Al, seems to have a f3ti$h of woman popping balloons, clearly some opposites. At the end of the episode, they discover that they can mix both things and "try new things", as Bob gives Gloria a pair of headphones. This is an interesting way to show the fear, since it's pretty know that sometimes phobias can do a 180° turn around and became a ehemehemphword, being balloons a good example.

-Whomp! Comics: In this webcomic series, the protagonist, Ronnie, clearly has a phobia of loud sudden noises. In various comics, he seems to be scared of thunder, biscuits cans and balloons. [You can find this comic online, if you're looking specifically for the ones mentioned here, just search on Google "whomp comic fear of balloons/thunder"]

-Mae, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn: When Mae was first introduced in Dawn Moves Out, during her sleepover with Dawn, which helps Dawn realize that it's time to move out to her own bedroom instead of sharing with her brothers. She reveals that she is afraid of balloons. She was saving that secret as part of a sleepover game, then by accident, Dawn's mom bring some balloons at the room, scarier Mae, even tho after Dawn put them out of the room, her dad bring them back again, scaring her again. This fear is mentioned again when in one episode she's keeping a class secret from Dawn and her brothers, so Dawn uses a balloon turkey (And popped it) to intimidate Mae and make her talk.

-"Jillian Holtzmann" The Ghostbusters: I really don't know about this character's phobia, the only thing I find it's the trivia, I'll try to update this. (Update I guess: According to a comics artist, she always been that way, no the thing I expected but ok at the same time, we don't own explanations to no one)

~ "Snork" MoominValley (2019):

In the new series from 2019, they present Snork as a reserved character(It's autistic, it's confirmed by official social media). He was about to be in a small gathering with Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden, but Moomintroll did the complete opposite and organizes a surprise party, with loud music, new unfamiliar food, and balloons.

This last seems to bother him, so he says that balloons are both predictable and unpredictable, you know that they will pop but never know when, so he (un)doubtfully pops them to evade that anticipation.

You can see how he flinches a little when popping them.

A little bit of a stretch? Maybe, but enough for me.

I'm not ready for my birthday

Since I started doing exposure therapy, and learning how much balloons can take, and how far can I go(Not a lot but enough for a globophobic), I wanted to have balloons at my birthday, not a lot, just some symbolic ones laying here and there.

I never had latex balloons at my birthdays, they're a little of a taboo topic for me in public and specially around my family, so I'm making my birthday a little private this year, and at a friend's house so my family doesn't know this and starts thinking I'm already over my phobia, wich I'm obviously not. I just wanna feel like a normal birthday for once, and I don't know if I'll have this chance in a while, so I'm doing it.

But lately, my brain is playing tricks on me and I'm started to doubt about this. I trust my friends and they won't do anything to scare me, that's a fact, but still, I can't control my overthinking.

Me and my 2 best friends are decorating, I'm in charge of the balloons so I know they won't be big, but what if they insist in helping? I'm not ready for people I know handling balloons.

And with that comes point 2, my boyfriend and friends touching the balloons, just imagining it makes me shiver so much.

Since this is part of my exposure therapy, I can touch them without fear, but I'm not comfortable with other people in general handling balloons, and I know my friends won't pop them, I'll still have them, I know I'm safe, but the feeling of watching friends, partners, or people you trust in general with balloons still icks me the wrong way, the fact that they can normally play or touch balloons makes me feel a little betrayed, it's a feeling hard to explain. I won't stop them unless they're trying to pop them because there's no danger.

So that's it, I just wanted to rant about this since it's almost just two weeks away from my birthday and time flies.

I know I abandoned this post a little a lot, sorry about that, I wasn't feeling creative enough to write or update, but I'm back now, I think I got what it takes again!

I'll start with simple things with creative liberty and I have a request, sorry it took this long! I didn't check the request box in a while since nobody sent anything. Also planning to rebrand the blog, just to change the image, wash the face.

Also, I can't believe I'm saying this but, I'm really happy and excited for my birthday! I'm planning to do it on my friends house, so I can put... wait fo it ...

Balloons

Weird, right? Well, the thing is, that I did a little bit of exposure, and I can handle balloons pretty well now, I still can stand the popping, but it's an advance.

The thing is, if I use balloons to decorate at my house, my family probably will just ignore that I'm still scared of the popping and stuff, and also, make jokes about how I used to be scared, in good font, but still, it hurts a little.

So if I make my birthday at my friend's house, I can make it a little more secret and personal. My friends know about my phobia and they're really respectful and understand my steps, so I can trust them with that.

Nothing too big, just some here and there to make one of my childhood dreams come true: to have a "normal" birthday, if normal means have some balloons.

Red Velvet Cookie x reader genre: fluff. some angst if you squint really hard. wc: 1330 tags: oblivious red velvet, anxious boyfriend, slight abandonment issues, red velvet loves his partner

a/n: wooo, first request! hope this is okay.

“Darling, are you okay?”

With one look at your trembling lower lip and curled-up form on the couch, Red Velvet frowns deeply and crosses his arms. “Never mind. You’re definitely not okay,” he says, striding over to sit next to you. It’s not often that you’re curled up in a ball and shaking like this, at least not that he’s seen. Red Velvet maneuvers his larger arm to not scratch you, resting it on the couch. A regular-sized hand comes up to run his fingers through his hair, his hand needing something to do in anxiety. “Hey. You’re scaring me.”

You continue to stare up at the ceiling in fear, trembling in anticipation for an unknown event.

“Hey!” he exclaims louder this time. “Talk to me. What happened?” You flinch at his rise in tone and Red Velvet’s eyes shoot wide open. Dammit, he made it worse! He scowls and casts his gaze to the floor. He knows he’s not good at this sort of thing: comforting. His way of coping isn’t convenient, since not everybody is into monologuing while being surrounded by cake hounds or brooding in their rooms. It’s understandable, since his integration into society after Dark Enchantress was only a year or so ago. But now, he curses himself for it all. He can do better for you. He has to. If he keeps making things worse like this, he won’t know how to forgive himself.

Red Velvet looks back up at you, a softer expression on his face. “Look… I need you to tell me what’s wrong. Did something happen to you?”

“No…” you mumble, covering your ears.

Oh God, you were mad at him. You didn’t even want to listen to him! What did he do wrong? Did he crack another plate without noticing? Did one of his cake hounds get in and ruin a piece of furniture? Red Velvet chews on his bottom lip, a pit forming in his stomach. Great. Now he’s officially spiraling. He can’t help but ask, “Darling, did I do something wrong? I promise I’ll fix it, I… I don’t know what I did.”

He pauses and lugs his larger arm up to place over your back, leaning closer to get a look at your face. Your eyes, wide open in fear, flicker to him as your grip over your ears tightens. In the back of his mind, a devious fear whispers to him. It sends a chill down his spine to think about it; are you… scared of him? Are you finally dropping your facade and showing that you fear him? The thought grips him. It chokes off his air and short-circuits his brain. Anyone else he would be fine with. Enemies of war, that bastard Pastry Cookie, anybody else can be scared of him. Everyone except for you.

For a fleeting moment, you uncup your ears to be greeted with a pregnant silence. “...Velvet, it’s not your fau–”

In the middle of your sentence, a deafening explosion went off above the house. A shrill cry rips itself from your throat before you lunge yourself at Red Velvet, burrowing into his chest. 

…what?

What just happened?

Red Velvet blinks. He blinks again.

Absent-mindedly, his clawed hand reaches up to pat the top of your head. What on Earthbread just HAPPENED? The sound of yelling and fireworks outside does nothing to penetrate his thoughts. Celebrations be damned, he was going to find out what was wrong. Underneath his blank face, a whirlwind of protective instinct and anger takes hold. Red Velvet switches out with a new individual to take over his brain. He is replaced with Dark Enchantress Cookie’s most feared general. An analytical battle strategist that Earthbread has never seen. Like an algorithm, like clockwork, his brain checks through everything that could be the problem. A new objective enters his mind; find the issue, execute it, restore peace, and protect you. It comes naturally to him, like breathing.

So… what on Earth was scaring you?

The fact you lunged into Red Velvet’s chest likely rules him out of the lot, although he can’t be sure. His clawed hand can't be the problem, since you always hug it when you two go through crowds. No new phobias have been developed to his knowledge. The cakes don’t scare you, you absolutely love them. You haven’t gotten any new rivals or enemies among the kingdom. And amid the parties outside for King Custard Cookie III’s birthday, you were excited to celebrate with the other cookies outside, so what the hell is–

Once again, a bang rattles the house from above. You whimper and try to hide yourself impossibly deeper in Red Velvet’s chest. That commotion of noise above the house might as well been a bomb that derailed Red Velvet’s train of thought.

Another bang goes off, and another. You’re trembling like a leaf in Red Velvet’s grip, and it finally clicks. Your boyfriend turns his head to look out the window. He’s greeted with the sight of your neighbor, Cherry Cookie, setting off fireworks with the others in celebration.

That’s it! You’re scared of fireworks!

Red Velvet turns back to you wide-eyed and concerned, frowning deeper and huddling closer to you. “Oh, why didn’t you tell me? Now you have me feeling silly for worrying that I did something wrong.” He sighs and cradles you close. His heart pangs with hurt whenever you flinch. “Come. I may have something to aid you,” he cooes, standing you up and walking you toward your shared room. Passing your bed and toward Red Velvet’s dresser, he throws open a drawer and shuffles his hand around inside.

You shift from foot to foot, keeping an eye trained on the celebrations outside. “You really don’t have to, babe. I’ll be okay when I go to celebrate.”

“Nonsense.”

Another bang makes you audibly wince. Red Velvet digs through the drawer quicker. Curse those damned neighbors! His smaller hand nearly risks being impaled on sewing scissors and crushed by metal objects in the drawer. And finally (finally!), he hits his eureka. A pair of new ear plugs! He knew he had some left over from when he was training with cannons. He doesn’t even think to close the drawer as he turns back to you, presenting his treasure in his comically large hand. 

“Here, darling. Put these in,” he instructs, placing them in your grasp. “I can go get some new ones that fit better if they don’t feel well.” 

“Thanks, Velvet! You’re awesome.”

After you set them in your ears, a grin breaks out on your face.

“How are they, my dear?”

When you don’t look up to acknowledge him, Red Velvet stifles a laugh. You not being able to hear him is a good sign, he guesses. And when you don’t notice the Earth-shattering firework from above, he cheers. Mission accomplished! Thank the witches you’re happy. You nearly gave him a heart attack making him think he messed up. Plopping down next to you as you sit on the bed, he leans over and gives you an awkward peck on the cheek, his pale red face turning scarlet red when you lean on his shoulder.

“Thank you, Velvet. I mean it. You’re the best.”

“Oh, stop it. It was nothing,” he mutters to you. When you don’t respond, he sighs. Those ear plugs work well, if not a little too well. You have absolutely no idea what he’s saying. Red Velvet Cookie x Phonophobic!Reader Headcanons

.Red velvet loves you a lot, so much in fact. He’s willing do whatever it takes if it means making you happy. And he hates anything that scares you.

.Due to how busy he can be he’ll often have a group of Cake hounds stay near you to keep you company, however there is one thing that’ll make him stay home from work. Thunderstorms.

.He knows how much the loud booming sound of thunder scares you but he’s actually quite use to this reaction due to the cake hounds.

.Whenever a thunderstorm hits, he’s always near you with his cake hounds, having you huddled up in a blanket with a warm drink keeping you company. Once all the hounds calm down too, they join him!

.Red will gently cuddle and cradle you through your whimpers and anxiety from the sound, he really hates seeing you so upset like this and will do anything to make it stop.

.One thing he’ll do is try to distract you with things you like and enjoy, maybe play a game or watch a show together. If it’ll get your mind off the thunder then he’ll do it.

.He’s has hurt Licorice one time before for purposely scaring you during a storm. Licorice never did that again.

.Red velvet is also very self-aware about the volume of his voice around you, it wasn’t just that thunder that scared you. A lot of other loud noises like yelling could also cause your anxiety to flare up and he’d never want to be the cause of that.

.Whenever he’s in a bad or snappy mood he’ll avoid you so he doesn’t yell near you by accident.

.The avoidance doesn’t hurt your feelings since you know he’s trying to protect you from his temper.

.At the same time, Red velvet also tries to help you with it through gradual exposure and it’s helped somewhat but it’ll take awhile until you’re fully there.

BOOM!!

The thunder resounded outside with a crash, you sat on your bed shaking from the sound. It was always like this when these storms rolled around and you hated it. More thunder boomed and you covered your ears with ears squeezed shut, but suddenly you were surrounded by warmth. When you opened your eyes you saw your boyfriend, Red Velvet Cookie, next to you and the cookie cake had draped a thick blanket over your shaking form.

“Easy now love, it’s okay. I’m here, I’m here. How about a get you’re a drink and we can watch a movie?” He said gently, nuzzling the side of your face as he held you close.

“Red velvet you don’t have to...” You said shakily but you leaned into him nonetheless.

“No, I want you, I not going to let some thunder make my precious one cry. And I love spending time with you too so it’s quite the victory in fact!”

Cookie Run Ligyrophobic/Globophobic Headcanons and Scenarios (Part 2)

Back again with something simple, I'm feeling like writing this days, so I'll do my best.

Only two characters this time because I was tired, but I'm open for request!

Again, sorry if some of this feel Out of Character, it's to fit more into context and for comfort, so they will be very flexible.

~ CREAM UNICORN COOKIE 🦄🍪 ~

- As the protector of the amusement park, they are hyperempathic, Cream Unicorn can feel how everyone is feeling on the park. When they felt someone (You) isn't feeling comfortable with something, will come flying as fast as they can.

- "Hey dear, what's wrong? Are you not having a good time? What can I do for you to feel better?"

- It's hard for you to admit your "silly fear", Cream Unicorn worked so hard to make the night at the park special for everyone.

- After asking so much and so nicely, you confess to them that the balloons popping and the fireworks are scaring/bothering you a little, and you would love a little peace.

- "Oh dear, that's what was bothering you? I'm so sorry for not noticing before, I'm going to fix this for you faster than chocolate chiptah!" (Ingredient animal pun intended)

- And before you notice, you were on a table with delicious cream treats, on a quiet zone of the food stans, no balloons from the games zone near, and the fireworks where far enough to not scared you. On your lap, there was a gift box nicely wrapped with your name on it, so you opened to find a pair beautiful pastel colored headphones, great for protection those ears whenever you needed.

- Now Cream Unicorn Cookie knows that no balloons or fireworks for you (Even tho they love giving balloons to everyone in the park and having a good view of the fireworks) They understand.

- From time to time they try to see if you are more comfortable with balloons, showing you that there's nothing to fear. They leave some at your door on your birthday, but you know it's not with bad intentions, and you appreciate it.

- You were walking back to the oven with Red Velvet Cookie. You and him were collecting some wild ingredients for more Cake Hounds.

- Even though you only started hanging out with Red Velvet and everything was new with him, but what you saw when you entered the oven room was scarier that 1000 witches.

- It seems like Poison Mushroom Cookie sneaked in and filled the floor of the room with balloons. Chiffon and a newbaked hound were chasing some balloons that where bouncing around.

- "Surpriiiiiseeee...! Happy birthday Red Velvet, heheheh... Let's bake some cake for the partieeeeee..." Poison Mushroom's head was on the clouds again. "No buddy, that is in two weeks, not today... Look at all this mess, we should clean up before start baking. Up everyone! Now, start cleaning here!" Ref Velvet said on his commander voice, making the Cake Hounds obedient for a moment, and Poison Mushroom started tidying things up.

- You looked tensed, but Red Velvet keep walking like nothing. He thought that the spooky vibes of the over made you feel weak again.

- Red Velvet tried to pick up some of the balloons, but the claws of his cake monster hand popped them.

- He wasn't ready for the scared scream that came out of your mouth, even the cake hounds and Poison Mushroom Cookie stopped what they were doing and looked at you.

- "Hey now, wowowow y/n, is everything ok here? Did you get hurt? Answer" You were trembling, with a "normal" face because you wouldn't want to make a scene.

- "Yes Red Velvet, I'm f-fine, I just, I just, REMEMBERED I HAVE SOMETHING TO DO NOW I HAVE TO GO BYE GOOD LUCK YOU TWO-"

- "But wait, what is wrong? You were ok just a moment ago, it's something wrong? I thought we were going to bake hounds together..."

- "Yesyesyes it's just I remember I have to gather some-" * POP * Chiffon bited too hard one of the balloons "*EEEEEEEK*" you tried to bury a scream, just letting a little pain sound to go out, while jumping a little.

- Red Velvet looked around and then looked at the balloon that was on his cookie hand, trying to connect points. "Are this balloons bothering you...?" Putting the balloon near you, making you give some awkward steps back.

- "N-no no of course not don't be silly, I just need to go now-", you tried to get to the doors, but Poison Mushroom was blocking the door, and they had some balloons too, looking you right in your eyes like they always do, like if they could read your mind.

- "Oh I see, everything is ok, so it doesn't matter if I do THIS?!" Said Red Velvet as he hold the balloon near you with his monster hand, teasing you with popping it, wich make you take another step back, as you give him a grim look of fearful pain, waiting for it to pop.

- "OOOOOH OK YES THAT'S IT IT'S THE BALLOONS BUT PLEASE DON'T POP IT" You said in a weak scaredy voice.

- Red couldn't say anything but laughed out loud, with an "evil" maniac laugh. "BWAAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA YOU TRULY ARE A COOKIE FULL OF SURPRISES" Red Velvet said as he wiping away tears from laughing. You took this a little personal, but knew deep inside he wouldn't do anything to hurt you "Hey it's not that funny! It's not like I have a choice after all..." You said, thinking Red Would take you seriously.

- "First the fireworks, and now this, ahahahahah, you never end to surprise me, y/n. Do not worry, we are going to find a solution... UNLESS I DO THIS!" said Red as he puts the balloon near you again, making you wimp again. "Ahahahaha, how did you survive until now like that? Ok, now it's time clean here for real this time! Poison Mushroom Cookie, you and I will take this balloons somewhere else, y/n, take Chiffon and this other Cakehound to their compartments, clean the table and get the ingredients ready." Said Red Velvet Cookie on a serious leader voice again, and you had it easy, at least you wouldn't have to see those balloons again. "Let's move everyone!"

- Even though he made fun of you, Red Velvet Cookie was very careful picking up the balloons with his cake monster hand, besides, it would be useless to have a cookie scared to do anything on the kitchen. But if by accident one of them pooped, he would verbally check if you are ok and reassure you. He's great with affirmations when he wants to.

- "You are doing great y/n, keep it going" "Sorry, that was my fault, is everything ok y/n?" "We're almost over here, let's go! Hang on a little more, you though cookie!" His commander voice was sure reassuring, now you see (or hear) how he is a great commander for the Cake Hounds.

- After this little incident, he usually test your fear from time to time, mostly as a joke, but deep down he thinks exposure therapy can help make you a more though cookie. "Y/N CATCH THIS" "Y/N take this for me" are usually hear as he gives you a balloon or tries to play don't let the balloon touch the ground.

- He just wants the best for you, even when that usually comes with questions like "Why?" "How?" "It's just a balloon, noise can't hurt you(But my cake army can!)". You know he isn't trying to be rude.

- But Red Velvet Cookie is very compassionate towards you, so he never tolds anyone about it.

I have globophobia but I've never heard of Ligyrophobia, I'm a bit curious as to what it is, can you explain it to me?

Of course!

Ligyrophobia is the fear of loud (sudden) noises, such as screaming, thunder, firecrackers/fireworks, motorcycles, loud speakers, corks, party poppers, balloons and similars.

It's also called phonophobia, but this word is more used to refer to a fear or disconfort to all noises in general, or just sound aversion.

Ligyrophobia comes from ligyro(sharp/sudden for sound meanings), and phobia.

It's one of our core fears as humans that we develop at the moment we born, with the fear of falling (aka high places), but is with the everyday situations that we live with, the way we handle those fears as we grow up. Some people are more sensitive to those stimulus than others.

As an example, you can have globophobia because you fear the balloon popping, therefore, you may have ligyrophobia. Or maybe you just have ligyrophobia but no globophobia, so you can handle balloons, but fear the popping.

Or be scared just to a certain type of sound, like me! I'm scared of balloons and fireworks/firecrackers, but I'm not scared of thunder. The combinations can be as unique as all of us.

If you’ve never heard of Globophobia I’m not surprised; its the fear of Balloons. It sound ridiculous but a good portion of the world population has it, to the point its considered a common fear like spiders. But no one talks about it and I don’t remember if this has been done before so…

BTW This post is more personal since I have Globophobia and its hard to handle. Not to mention that one event where Belphegor and MC had to shield a balloon so it doesn’t pop😬. I’d be crying the whole time…. Anyways, if you don’t like it, its okay I wrote this for me.

I've always liked the fact that some characters have fears or phobias, they make them easier to empathize). And now imagine that the characters have our phobia, it's the not you are alone, you are not crazy that we need sometimes. But without further blahblah let's get started

-Komodo (Animal Mechanicals): This is the character that enlightened me as a child and for whom I make this list. Mechanimals are, that, robot animals, that go on missions, learn things, a preschool series basically. In this episode, they had to go to a volcano that releases balloons, but they were exploding, and they had to find a way to stop them. And as they go to the island, one of the balloons explodes and Komodo freaks out, and BOOM, my child's mind lit up. The simple fact that a character has my fear changed my world. -Lacey (Corner Gas): I found this from pure searching. In short, they throw a party for this character Lacey, who seems to have balloonphobia, and then at the end of the chapter she goes to therapy with a friend who also has it and now she can take them better. [You can find this chapter in some "third party" service]

-Clyde (The Loud House): Another that I found watching cartoons. In one chapter, Lincoln's friend, Clyde, mentions having strange reactions when trying to blow up balloons (the typical symptoms, dizziness, blurred vision, etc.) And although he tries to overcome it, he still cannot.

-BoBoiBoy: This series shows how far off the internet I managed to get by looking for info about my phobia hahahaha. In short, it is an Malaysian series about a boy with superpowers. In one of those, his enemy catches him, and takes him to a torture room to get information from him, where by mistake his henchmen throw him a party. Angry by mistake he pops a balloon, and discovers that BBB scares him. They put him to the limit and he manages to unleash his superpower. [You can find this scene on YouTube]

-Roy (The IT Crowd): Now with a series a little more known. Roy mentions that he is going to a party, which his friend asks if it was that he did not like parties, to which he responds one of the best phrases I use to explain my phobia "Balloons explode Jen, they explode so suddenly and unexpectedly, that they have the capacity to give me a little fright, and I find that unbearable." -Snails (MLPEg): Of all this was the most unexpected. In this special of "Choose your ending", the equestria girls should see how to move props in the background of a theater easily, if you choose the Pinkie Pie, she will change things for balloons so that they move more easily. Between scenes, Snail mentions that he is not afraid of balloons, which can be seen as obviously not, and even accompanies his friend when he is scared to explode one. -Brainy (Supergirl): This one is kinda new. Even tho I don't watch Supergirl, I'm always up for good representation of our phobia. In one of the newest episodes, some characters are facing their fears, even tho the majority of the characters have "emotional" fears (Betrayal, loneliness, lossing a loved one), Brainy has some sort of fear of balloons. He can see the room full of them, but he can still do his job very well (even tho he knows they aren't real). Fans theorized that the fear itself it's a metaphor for his true worries and power(I guess, correct me if I'm wrong) popping out at any moment. -Humf: Humf is a little monster who lives everyday adventures and discovers the world around him. In one of the episodes, Humf is playing with his friends, when his uncle came to visit him bringing balloons to play. At first everything seem fun, playing with the air that came out of the balloon, chasing the balloon around and playing with the static, but for accident, Humf sits on the balloon, making it pop. After that, he realized balloons are loud, so he refuses to play with another balloons for fear of popping. Looking for a way to get back Humf to the games, his uncle starts making sound with the mouth of the balloon, thing that calls the attention of Humf. With help of his friend, Humf is back to play. Even tho Humf is still scared of the pops, he finds his way to play with balloons again. For me, the one of the best representations of this phobia. -A.N.T. Farm: Olive Doyle claims she has many phobias, including "ghosts, vampires, witches, zombies, leprechauns, giraffes, double decker buses, balloons and... (shudders) curly fries." Just mentioned as a comic relief I guess.

-King of the hill: Bill seems scared when Hank mentioned balloons. just mentioned once.

Kinda but not explicit] -Bob's burguer: In the episode "It snakes a village" when the family goes to visit Linda's parents to a seniors home village, the regiment seems to be filled with old people (ehemswingersehem), but points aside, it seems like Linda's mom, Gloria, is easily startles by loud sudden noises, such as the back lid of the car being closed, people surprising her from behind, and balloons of course. On the other side, his husband Al, seems to have a f3ti$h of woman popping balloons, clearly some opposites. At the end of the episode, they discover that they can mix both things and "try new things", as Bob gives Gloria a pair of headphones. This is an interesting way to show the fear, since it's pretty know that sometimes phobias can do a 180° turn around and became a ehemehemphword, being balloons a good example.

-Whomp! Comics: In this webcomic series, the protagonist, Ronnie, clearly has a phobia of loud sudden noises. In various comics, he seems to be scared of thunder, biscuits cans and balloons. [You can find this comic online, if you're looking specifically for the ones mentioned here, just search on Google "whomp comic fear of balloons/thunder"]

-Mae, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn: When Mae was first introduced in Dawn Moves Out, during her sleepover with Dawn, which helps Dawn realize that it's time to move out to her own bedroom instead of sharing with her brothers. She reveals that she is afraid of balloons. She was saving that secret as part of a sleepover game, then by accident, Dawn's mom bring some balloons at the room, scarier Mae, even tho after Dawn put them out of the room, her dad bring them back again, scaring her again. This fear is mentioned again when in one episode she's keeping a class secret from Dawn and her brothers, so Dawn uses a balloon turkey (And popped it) to intimidate Mae and make her talk.

-"Jillian Holtzmann" The Ghostbusters: I really don't know about this character's phobia, the only thing I find it's the trivia, I'll try to update this. (Update I guess: According to a comics artist, she always been that way, no the thing I expected but ok at the same time, we don't own explanations to no one)

you were currently curled up in a shaking ball under your boyfriends sheets. ‘for the love of earthbread, why did there have to be a storm!” you thought while compacting yourself tighter to try and keep out the frightening sound of thunder.

You heard the door creak open, tap tap tap.

You peaked your head out and saw your beloved, red velvet cookie. “Hello dear, how has your day been?” He said, taking off his dark red boots and sliding into bed beside you.

You replied,”It’s been a bit rough, well the storm started at least.”. Red velvet cookie moved to your bed side and pat your head gently.

He then stated,”when I was younger, I used to be scared of storms too.” He said while walking over to the opposite side of the bed.

He started cuddling with you. Oh, how you loved when he cuddled you.

With another loud crash of thunder and huged him tighter,”It will be alright, I understand your fears.”
