         OBSIDIAN HUES NARROW   almost instantly when the gryffindor student plops down beside him under a tree of the school grounds, as if it’s the most routine thing to do. potions book is lowered in an exasperated manner.    ❛   —— this spot is taken, as you could tell.  ❜    the well-practiced acerbic tone is particularly asserting when it comes to her, largely because she seems to like making a game out of vexing him. as harmless as their verbal combats are compared to other conflicts he’s dealt with, however, he’s in no mood for this today.

the moment the platinum blonde witch spots her raven haired slytherin partner from potions  ,  marlene breaks off from the side of lily evans to make a beeline for him.  books are tossed onto the grass covered ground next to him just before the smiling gryffindor prefect sits in the remaining open space.  perfectly shaped eyebrow raises as she crosses her legs  ,  before eyes scan the area around her just to humor him.   ❝    this seat is taken ?  by what ?  an imaginary gargoyle ?    ❞    marlene rolls her eyes dramatically  ,  before her cerulean eyes  ,  twinkling with both mischief and curiosity  ,  catch sight of words scribed messily in ink on the yellow tinted parchment of severus’ potions book.    ❝    hey  ,  what is that ?   severus  ,  are you writing in your potions book !?    ❞
