ngl i could also see a world where this whole thing was a johnny depp/amber heard situation of them abusing e/o just that mackenzie wasn't mentally stable enough to take it anymore or just end the relationship and it escalated to this extreme, that thing of him pretending/threatening to kill them while driving is insane
iām going to keep going through all of the documents, including her disciplinary reports from the prison. i do think he contributed to the toxicity of their relationship especially closer to the end, but at least from what i can gather from their texts it was mackenzie getting angry over every little thing and it seemed like dom started to reach his breaking point
you would think that if the relationship was mutually abusive mackenzie would have come to terms with that by now and at least talk to her parents about it. but she never strayed from āhe was so perfect, we were going to get married.ā although i could see how saying anything about it would likely just serve as proving motive. on the other hand though the public is generally pretty compassionate toward abuse victims (gypsy rose, the menendez brothers), so maybe itād help her case, who knows. but i find it hard to believe that if she talked to her parents about it they wouldnāt have said anything, or the prison phone call wouldnāt have been posted

Is this about just regular arguments or the one before the crash? Because apparently she took the same route on the road where it happened two days before the crash according to the cars black box and thatās why she was convicted on a premeditated murder charge
that was about the crash. tbh, her taking that route before the crash doesnāt prove premeditation beyond a reasonable doubt, in my opinion; the police said the street is a known shortcut in the initial report. but i get that it starts to paint a picture when you look at everything together and not just that one aspect
ok i read & skimmed from feb 2022 up until the crash
they had fights before march 2022 - although, itās kind of hard to tell when theyāre actually fighting or when mackenzie just gets mad, iāll explain - but march is when it started happening all the time, at least through text message. like every few days/every other day/every day. so iām just gonna talk about what i read from march-july because iām not reading 32000 pages of texts. key things that stand out:
in the beginning (march and throughout april) every time they argue or mackenzie gets mad, dom apologizes and tries to fix it. at the end of april he told her sheās a narcissist (like, he read a book about narcissism and listed off the traits to her), and in june-july you can tell heās fed up with the fighting and he starts really calling her out on her shit and whenever she threatens to break up with him he tells her to do it. in one of the last arguments he tells her he doesnāt want to chase someone if he isnāt sure itāll even work out
itās true that around two weeks before the crash, mackenzie and dom were driving and dom pulled the steering wheel. they fought over text and kenzie kept telling him he needs to fix things and prove he loves her and wonāt hurt her, and she repeatedly said that he tried to kill her. he repeatedly said he didnāt & wasnāt trying to kill her
he was a drug dealer and kenzie would often threaten to call the cops on him/report him, and this led to him censoring himself over text and not talking about anything sensitive over text so she couldnāt hold anything over his head. he outright says that during the above argument, because kenzie started that conversation with āiām going to file a police report.ā so, doubtful for multiple reasons that heād admit he was trying to hurt her if he was.
at least from what dom knew, mackenzie performed a sexual act with someone in exchange for money one time (when they were broken up). i personally donāt think this is relevant and i donāt like that āprostitutionā is being used to demonize her - if you can even call it prostitution, since she was a minor at the time
in later text messages, mackenzie goes to the club with a few of her friends after letting dom know and dom ends up getting mad and telling her he doesnāt like those friends because theyāre prostitutes. a few weeks later she says she wants to go out with them again and he says heāll leave her if she does. he says that sheās a different person with them, that last time they broke up and she hung out with them she did the above bullet point, overall being pretty controlling and rude toward her friends
mackenzie was extremely verbally abusive and dom makes several references to instances of physical violence, however mackenzie also tells him heās abusive during multiple arguments. in one text she admits to pulling his hair and throwing a rock āhis wayā during an argument
whenever they fought or mackenzie got mad, sheād tell dom heās a terrible boyfriend, a terrible person, that heās repulsive, abusive, gay, a ābottom,ā a waste of her time, stupid, bipolar, a little bitch, accuse him of cheating, etc etc etc. she always told him he needed to buy her something nice to āfix itā or make it up to her, until eventually he called her out on demanding expensive things and she stopped, and also stopped telling him how he could fix things altogether (but still demanded he do it)
she often sent him things to buy for her, begged him for expensive things, etc. and in one text she said āi tell you the only thing that makes me want to live is when stuff is coming in the mailā - generally a lot of arguments about money and mackenzie demanding to be treated like the āgoddessā she is, demanding to be chased (āif i tell you iām mad at you youāre supposed to chase me and tell me you love meā while dom has asked multiple times to be allowed to walk away from heated conversations)
dom supposedly cheated on kenzie a year or so into their relationship and she constantly brings it up and uses it against him. he says it happened while they were broken up but also doesnāt ever really deny that he cheated. apparently it was with two girls who were friends of kenzieās. kenzie uses the cheating as the reason for her trust issues & freakouts whenever he doesnāt answer within 5 minutes. she spams him and literally counts down in text messages or tells him he has X minutes to answer etc.
one time during an argument she showed up to his house and climbed in the window and sent a picture of the open window and her middle finger
she would often say things like āweāre going to have a serious problem ifā¦ā āyouāre going to regret thatā āyou just fucked up badā āwatch your backā āi would [reply fast/fix this/etcā¦] if i were youā āiāll give you one last chance toā¦ā - there are multiple texts where she says sheās going to fuck someone up, that sheāll kill or tase someone (as well as dom referencing a time she ātried to taseā him), that if a certain person sees her they should run for their life, etc. however, there are also messages where dom says that if anyone else said the shit she said to him theyād be dead, āno question, like iām deadass too they would be deaddddā ādonāt bring that person out of me, you donāt understand who i am or what iām capable of or how i feel on the insideā (this was in response to her saying heās taking his friendās dick in the ass, and he references childhood trauma that sheās aware of)
there often isnāt a resolution during any of the fights. sometimes thereās a gap and you can infer that they met up or called, and sometimes the conversation just shifts mid-argument and things seemingly go back to normal. itās weird. arguments also often started because one gave the other attitude or said something rude on the phone or in person. thatās why at some points itās kind of hard to tell if theyāre actually arguing
overall their relationship was toxic as hell for at least 5 months leading up to the crash. they had a really huge fight about two months before the crash where they ābroke upā and dom messaged one of her friends asking to hang out, because, according to him, he knew the friend would tell mackenzie and he wanted to make her mad, and mackenzie said that was cheating & he broke her trust and never let it go. obviously i canāt know everything just from their texts but from what i can see there, mackenzie was the instigator 99.9% of the time, and dom was trying to work on making their relationship healthier and less toxic. he was toxic at some points too, but a lot of it was definitely a reaction to her toxicity and abuse. i think that corresponds to witness statements from domās friends. idk man. itās a fucking mess. i could see a scenario where they start arguing and she starts speeding and demands he apologize or something like that
in the text messages with domās mom after the crash, kenzie goes on and on about how he was just ātoo perfectā and an angel and how she feels like they were going to be married soon. so
Domās brother mentions in his victim impact statement that Dom was going to join the military right before he died so now there is some speculation that that would strain their relationship even more
absolutely. in the texts sheās extremely jealous of everyone he interacts with, she accuses him of being gay in really vulgar ways when heās with guys she doesnāt know or doesnāt like (and at one point he says itās really fucked up for her to do that considering she knows what happened to him as a kidā¦ š). and she freaks the fuck out when he takes more than 5 minutes to answer so i think itās safe to say him being in the military would most definitely strain their relationship. iām going to read the texts closer to when the crash happened to see if the vibe was the same then too. itās really sad, and itās sick to then see the texts she was sending to his mom after he died

it wasnāt clear to me whether it was pig latin or if it was some secret language š in the clip i saw the detective made it sound like it couldāve been one of those ālanguagesā where they just add gibberish between the syllables so people canāt understand what theyāre saying or something like that
The dad seems genuinely clueless glad he lost his job. I also watched a body language analysis video (I know itās not a reliable source of intel and can be misused donāt worry) on the Netflix interviews and it was interesting. The guy picked up on the language the parents and her use and how they present themselves like the dads t shirt that made them seem more guilty

omg i didnāt know he lost his job š but yeah they were reallyyyyyy defensive and it just came off horribly. i also saw a clip from the trial that was horrendous - mackenzieās mom briefly apologized to the families and then basically just went on defending mackenzie on each point the prosecution made. at one point she was like āand what was the other thingā¦ā trying to remember another point and the judge took the pause as an opportunity to say āiām hearing a lot about your daughter and nothing about the victimsā and her mother was like āomg! dom was like a son to us! davion was a new friendā¦ā¦ā and the judge was like āso that makes his life worth less????ā and her mom was like āno no!ā itās hard to capture the whole vibe of it in text but it was SO bad. you should watch it if you havenāt already. i would have been fuming if i was the families regardless of whether it was an accident or not. if i were mackenzie i would tell my parents to stfu because they literally make everything 100x worse every time they speak out
