It's magic by the minute and I had to shake off the surrealism of it to get back to my routine. I guess Season 3 brings a perfect end. Though there's clamour for Season 4, I felt the scene where Gilbert enters Anne's room to leave the letter and his words, along with the scene where Gilbert and Anne confess their love to each other, need to be bottled up in time :) Wondering what I am talking about? How many times can you have this tea in a cuppa? Many times. And with a delicious almond orange brioche the pairing turns perfect. The Darjeeling Signatures is a tea of my choice to savour in the quiet n relaxing company of @roxane_fashionstore who fell in love with the brioche the moment she tasted it ;) Cafe Bodega is quite the place where the counter is filled with scrumptious cakes, quiche, brownie, brioche...you name it. They're really really good. This is my second post on Cafe Bodega and that's because I like it so much. However, the person/s manning the counter shd be warmer to customers, I felt on both my visits. Lalaland Festival Nagoa 2019. A cosy event hosted over the weekend with a melange of food stalls, art n folk programs, cool crowd especially if you want something impersonal as you don't know anyone there :), healthy vibes and good energy. Rain played truant last week but it did not quell the spirit of this lovely couple, Gaurav and Samridhi, on their vacation in Goa @GoagagaSaligao. One of the most cheerful and upbeat couples who did not have any cribs regarding monsoon related issues. And finally they were glad to get back home to their adorable Chilli 🌶 (in the final pic). The famed Friday Mapusa Market. It's an intense local treat for those who love local experiences. I love them because they're in their natural context and environment without a single manipulated fibre. Expect parking your vehicle to be an unforgettable challenge in your life. The crowds are jostling but you don't feel messed. It's a decent crowd, respectful towards women. I try out nooks and crannies of local markets and I dined at Cafe St Xaviers in the central market area. The fish thali was 195/- because instead of the standard solkadi I found squids masala n the coconut gravy was prepared in prawns. It was delicious though I did not like the mackerel fry. I noticed the rest of the items in menu are priced lower than many other places. If in Goa, don't forget to put this up in your itinerary. Eat Pray Love. By far the best Asian food I have had. The best part was it sat light on the stomach without the customary queasiness of Asian food, which I always suffer. Mekong Pan Asian in Hotel Greenpark, Waltair Vizag. Exceptional service which stays with you. In the pics you see, seafood clear noodles soup, avocado crabmeat sushi (Yes and I had it with the chopsticks in memory of my one year stay with Koreans in the past), chilli basil prawns and coconut jaggery ice cream not to be missed. We ordered Vietnamese rice bowl with Malay sambal sauce, seafood which is not in the pic. Villa Blanche Assagao - who doesn't like it here? Yogini's creations are immortalised here by the endless stream of its visitors. A highly recommended place to spend hours in quiet, peace and surrounded only by good food/drinks and the aroma wafting around. My main take-away from the #porttownwalk Vasco 😄 Now I know where to have my chai from n if I need a juice or milkshake then that, to restore my energy after the local market visit. I found the tea shop in one of the alleys behind veg market and Damodar is on the road parallel to veg market where buses are parked. The chai was so good. I got the mango milkshake take away from Damodar n it's one of the best milk shakes I tasted. In fact better than many sophisticated fruit shakes I have tasted. And these local vendors are so nice, kind n friendly, respectful to women.
