I used to send such long paragraphs explaining how I feel but now I just don't say anything. I've learned that it doesn't matter what you say, if they don't care they just don't and nothing you say will change that. Keep your guard up. Don't waste your time and energy.
People should probably learn the difference between “plot holes” and “things I didn’t like” or “things the franchise plans to explain in the future” or “things film makers didn’t think they needed to explicitly explain because they thought you had critical thinking skills”
We are often let down by the most trusted people and loved by the most unexpected ones. Some make us cry for things that we haven't done, while others ignore our faults and just see our smile. Some leave us when we need them the most, while some stay with us even when ask them to leave. The world is a mixture of people. We just need to know which hand to shake and which hand to hold! After all that's life, learning to hold on and learning to let go.

reminds me of when some old church in Sweden was cleaning out their storage and they forgot they had left like 80 medieval corpses in some ikea bags during renovations so somebody opened a closet door and it’s just

“It is better to be unhappy and know the worst, than to be happy in a fool’s paradise.”
— Fyodor Dostoyevsky, The Idiot
This is legit.
It’s actually not the same thing
Because with $1,000, that might be the money you need for rent - $65 could be the prescription you need til the end of the month. Despite being 6.5% of the amount, it could be the difference between you actually eating that week.
But a person with $1 billion has their every need and desire met. They don’t have to worry about rent or food or medicine. They could fund the research for the cure if they caught a never-before-seen disease. $65 million may be 6.5% of that, but it will make no difference in their ability to support themselves.
tl;dr It’s actually less morally defensible for the billionaire to keep the money
dear Americans very concerned and angry about the concentration camps your government is running:
you should be angry, you should be furious, you should do everything and anything you can to shut them down.
but here in Australia, we've had concentration camps for refugees for nearly 25 years. we've protested and petitioned and yelled, but the government was 'clever' and put them offshore, away from the mainland where we can't reach them, can't storm them. then they banned journalists from going. then they banned doctors.
the only time mainstream news tends to report on the "offshore detention centres" is when yet another group of children try to commit suicide.
yes, the Australian government has concentration camps for people fleeing warzones, and the people in those camps are tortured so bad that the children try to kill themselves.
Americans, I hope you manage to close your governments camps, by law or by force. maybe when you're done, you can turn your attention to us? we could use some loud international outrage from a western ally, the government might care. the public has spent 20 years trying and failing.
non-Australians, please spread this information. I don't think many people know internationally, except the island nations we pay to host our camps and keep quiet.
more reason the term “concentration camps” is not offensive to jews nor the sole domain of the holocaust: other countries have had and some currently still have concentration camps - it’s unfortunately a civil rights violation that is not unique to one particular country or historical period - the US is not immune to committing this kind of human rights atrocity
