crowley & aziraphale + touch
『 So, how do you two know each other? 』
– via knjfedog (x)
in the infinity of universes, there's a universe out there just for them 💛
Crowley & his plants - He had heard about talking to plants in the early seventies, on Radio Four, and thought it was an excellent idea
This touch from Crowley, that look from Aziraphale. This shot means everything to me.
This is my Roman Empire tbh
lord i regret plenty, with this 20/20 view / but the fault's all mine 'cause there's never been a time i regretted time with you (@soft-october-night)
A missing scene. Thanks for all the fanart and fic throughout the years, you guys
also i don’t know if i’m in the minority here but i enjoyed the crowley-sleeping-on-the-street sequence and aziraphale visiting him. like that part is meant to be funny not angsty. the angst part is where mrs sandwich tears aziraphale a new one for abandoning everyone (good! he deserves it!) but once aziraphale sees crowley lying on the ground, we’re firmly back in comedy territory.
to me, they both know that even though crowley is a bit upset, he’s also being a bit performative here. a big old lovely drama queen. first of all, he could have slept in the bookshop any time he wanted to. but he was waiting for his ex to visit and see how miserable he is.
second of all, crowley has positioned himself very dramatically, lying like that. he’s waiting for someone (aziraphale) to see. and when aziraphale talks to him, he nags and turns to his side. like a teenager woken up by mom on a saturday morning.
they immediately go back into their bickering mode, as we know and love them. yes there are tensions and things they need to say to each other. but both trust that they will, there’s an underlying trust in each other’s love there, even if they’re fighting. like an old married couple.
crowley is stroppy and says go away and close the door. planting the idea in aziraphale’s mind to check out the book shop so he can go see how well crowley took care of it. aziraphale leaves and like a child needing attention, crowley follows him there.
it’s a sort of game between them, or more like, their relationship of push and pull is completely familiar to them, like riding a bike. there is genuine conflict, and there are serious topics to address, and yes crowley did feel a bit abandoned but so did aziraphale. they know they are both right and wrong, there’s a grey here, and that they will find their way to each other eventually.
that’s why crowley lets himself be pulled into shenanigans without that much pushback. he’s missed him, and aziraphale has missed crowley. but they’re back now for new adventures and they’re not going to waste any more time being apart

Jesus should have appeared when Aziraphale summoned God with the New Book of Life.
He's God, isn't he? Part of the "triune godhead." Then we could have gotten a completely different version of the scene in the bookshop, one where Jesus defends the world he knows and the people he's met and the things he learned (in his short time back on Earth) about love and generosity and helping people become better people.
Maybe Aziraphale and Crowley ask him to create a world without angels and demons. Maybe he says, but aren't they people too? Can't they learn about love, and generosity, and helping people become better people? Of course they can. Look at the two of you.
And we could have gotten a beautiful mirror to the end of Season 1, where Christ does the same exact thing as the Antichrist, where he doesn't destroy the world but puts it back just the way it was. Even slightly better.
Because angels and demons should have a chance, too.
I love this. God starts some shit, Jesus turns up and says NO. It's my turn now, Mummy. Christ stands up for humanity. That's his entire job after all. And they could've eaten pizza and God could've fucked right off. "This universe is silly. I'm going to start another one where people are less silly" and off she goes. And the silly people stay and the world is restored by Jesus and everything is fine. And Jesus gets to make friends. And Aziraphale and Crowley get to feed the ducks and live happily ever after, as themselves, surrounded by humanity.
Also I wanted to meet the holy ghost part of the triune godhead. They could've been hilarious. Literal person in sheet pleas! They don't really look like that. They're just doing it as a bit, for all eternity. But when he takes his sheet off he's played by this guy:
(I couldn't find a screenshot of the "that's what YOU think I look like" holy ghost in a sheet)
the fandom: "us" but at what cost?
Who do you think the best angel was? This one.
I do really love this scene
