But on that note, breastfeeding has left me feeling pretty depleted. I only gained 12 pounds with Wesley, and I have no idea how much I’ve lost since his birth. But I fit into all my old clothes, my face looks really thin, and I feel pretty weak a lot of the time. I’ll weigh myself next week when I see the midwives.
All to say, does anyone have recommendations on snacks and easy meals I can have around the house to make sure I’m getting proper nutrition?
I ate a TON of grains while I breastfed last time, as well as fruits and veggies. For meats, and proteins I found it was easy to keep tuna or egg salad pre-made in the fridge. All of these things were easy to eat while feeding and also refreshing.
Also....slow cookers are the best. Use one. Always.
