The third ensemble Miss Fisher wears in “Murder à la Mode” (Season 2, Episode 5) is another variation on a fashionably comfortable home outfit, consisting of a gold lace blouse worn over a black camisole and worn with her classic black pants.

Her gold metallic lace blouse has short puffed sleeves, as well as a folded lapel collar that comes to a v-neck and shows off the decorative edging of the black camisole worn underneath. As with most of her casual yet chic at-home ensembles, Phryne pairs this with her black silk faille pants that flare at the hem.

She accessorizes with a pair of elongated teardrop jade earrings with jeweled posts, worn multiple times throughout the series (seen twice in 1x10, 2x01, 2x02, and earlier in 2x05), a jade bracelet, and a decorative belt with brightly colored gems in the two-piece buckle.

Before she speaks to Dot about the pleasures of clothes and fabrics, we see Dot swaying back and forth with Phryne’s fabulous glittering birthday dress from the finale of season one.
