To celebrate the 1 year anniversary of The Evil Within, I decided to have a week where fans of the game can show their love by creating content for it! You can post art, cosplay, graphic edits, gifs, fanfic, videos, or do anything else you can think of to express yourself. This is very similar to Appreciation Weeks or Challenges that you may have seen held for other fandoms. If this is your first time seeing this type of thing, don’t worry! Here’s what you do:
The event will run for 7 days from Monday, October 19th to Sunday, October 25th, the week after the one year anniversary of TEW’s release date to give people time to create content. Each day a prompt is given to focus on a certain aspect of the game. Once you have made a gifset, drawn something etc. tag it as #tewcelebration. I’ll be tracking this tag on this blog and a special blog that I made especially for this event which you can find here. The prompts for each day are:
Day 1: Favorite Character
What was that “oh shit!” moment you had?
Day 3: Favorite Scene or Favorite Quote
Day 4: Greatest Achievement
This can be either an ingame one or a personal one. For example, it took me about 4 hours to defeat Reborn Laura and not break my controller out of frustration so I could use that or the fact that I completed the game on Nightmare difficulty
Day 5: Favorite Boss Battle
Day 6: Favorite Chapter or Favorite Area
A free day to come up with whatever you like!
I want to stress that even though there are set dates for when to post content, that doesn’t mean you can’t post your stuff earlier or after the week is over. You can choose to participate in all days or just one, whichever you like. I want this to be a fun experience so don’t feel like this is a set in stone kind of thing, take as many liberties as you would like. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask me!
I want this to be accessible to everyone so don’t be afraid to just discuss your favorite parts of the game during this week (I know I won’t be able to shut up during this whole week lmao). The most important thing about the event is for everyone to have fun with it and to show our appreciation for such a great game!
