Stick-gods ~ Dual Aspects
"Parties aren’t so bad I suppose."
"Of course they aren’t." She chuckled, gently nudging him with her hip. "Parties are a wonderful way to relax and besides, you need some fresh air every once in a while from that dusty, old library." She grinned.
"My library is where all your history is stored. I would hate for something to get lost." Being a record keeper was hard. Plus keeping track of Anubis… "How are you? It has been… a very long time since we last spoke."
"This is very true..." She chuckled. "It has been... I apologize for not coming to see you sooner." She gave him a warm smile. "I have been doing well. Trying to get into some sort of rhythm with things. How about you, what have you been up to?"
"Parties aren’t so bad I suppose."
"Of course they aren't." She chuckled, gently nudging him with her hip. "Parties are a wonderful way to relax and besides, you need some fresh air every once in a while from that dusty, old library." She grinned.
She quietly stepped up behind her and leaned in to whisper into her ear. "You never fail to throw a divine party, my sister."
Blinking, the Goddess turned, eyes wide before she all but squealed and threw her arms around her in a great embrace. “Hathor! Oh it is so good to see you!” She pulled back and grinned. “Thank you, I am so delighted you are here!”
"Is it?" She nudged her gently. "What about your own parties? Mine is but a time to drink and let yourself be filled with passion." But oh how she loved it, loved seeing the love and joy radiating from everyone.
Sighing, she shook her head. “I haven’t thrown one in quite some time. It has been difficult for me to re acclimate myself. Perhaps one day you could help me and we shall throw the grandest party the realms have ever seen.” She smiled, taking a drink.
"I would like that greatly." She grinned and picked up a pomegranate, breaking it apart with practiced grace and picked up a seed to munch on. "Perhaps soon…Once we bring Egypt back to it’s former glory." She cast a sideways glance to Hathor, she wasn’t sure if the goddess had heard of such plans.
Hathor could only stare at her, words failing. Had she heard right? "Did I hear you correctly, Bast? You are planning on restoring Egypt to how it once was?" Her heart fluttered in excitement. Oh how wonderful that would be if it were true and... possible.
She quietly stepped up behind her and leaned in to whisper into her ear. "You never fail to throw a divine party, my sister."

The Goddess laughed and hugged her back. She smiled brightly, seeing her happy. “It’s good to see you as well. I am sorry I haven’t been around as much.” She gently cupped her cheek before looking around. “You have really out done yourself this year.”
Her smile only grew as she leaned into her sister goddess’ touch. “I spent many hours pouring over details. I fear…It kept me most quiet the past several months but I hope it was worth it.” She, too, turned to look over the festivities. “I hope everyone enjoys it.”
She smiled and followed her gaze. "I am positive it is all worth it and everyone always has the best time at your festivals. I will admit, this is my favorite time of year."
She quietly stepped up behind her and leaned in to whisper into her ear. "You never fail to throw a divine party, my sister."

The Goddess laughed and hugged her back. She smiled brightly, seeing her happy. "It's good to see you as well. I am sorry I haven't been around as much." She gently cupped her cheek before looking around. "You have really out done yourself this year."
"Well enough I suppose.. I could be a little better in some aspects but who doesn’t?" He chuckled, “But I am to blame for disappearing so long as I have. It… been a very rough two months…" and he rub the side of his neck.
"But enough about me, how are you?"
"Well, at least you are back now. That's all the matters." She shrugged. "I'm doing well. Nothing new to report." She smiled.
"You are looking good though. I'm glad to see that the centuries have been kind to you."
"Well now… it’s good to so many of us around tonight. It’s been a while."
"It has been. Too long, I should think. It is good to see you."
"It's good to see you too, Bast. How have you been?" She chuckled. "From what I hear, you have been busy with a certain jackal. Congratulations!"
"Well now… it’s good to so many of us around tonight. It’s been a while."
"Yes.. I do suppose it has been a while hasn’t it? I will do my best to return back to our realms once again."
"Horus..." She smiled softly. "It's good to see you. How have you been?"
"Well now... it's good to so many of us around tonight. It's been a while."

“Indeed is has, I have been in the realm of the dead too long. It is good to see your smiling face again.” Osiris can’t help but smile as well.
“Quite possibly. Still ever the charmer, I see.” She chuckled. “So how have you been?”
“I have been missing my wife and child for millenniums, but now I am happy to see them. Isis came to visit my first day back, and I know Horus will adjust to my presence.” He continues to smile, “And how have you been dearest Hathor?”
She nodded. "I'm glad that you have found them. Missing your family is something I do not wish for anyone." She sighed. "I have yet to find mine..." She smiled. "I have been well though. Getting reacquainted with everything and adjusting to how things have changed."

“Osiris… my it has been some time.”

"Quite possibly. Still ever the charmer, I see." She chuckled. "So how have you been?"
“Hello there! Welcome.”
“Em hotep Hathor! It is so good to see you again!” Ma’at says with a smile, walking up to hug her.
"Ma'at!" She returned the hug. "Oh, it is so good to see you too. How have you been?"
“I’m sure we will run into others in good time.” She smiled. “Perhaps we can try and find ways to integrate ourselves into this modern world. Those who know us can keep our fire going by teaching others, introducing them to us.”
She nodded her head. “I have been doing that since the past century but some of their modernization has taken it’s toll on me. Time passes so quickly I do not think I could keep up with it all but I have tried and succeeded in some degree.” She purred lightly tapping her chin.Â
Hathor placed a hand on her shoulder and smiled. "My dear sister, you are not alone. I'm sure everyone would be more than happy to help with your endeavor."
