Joining Sabertooth
Alaina froze once the initial shock of what she had seen had faded away. Hearing those simple words, she turned her head to face Tess, a small smile for once appearing on her face. ‘You’re back already!?’ The way she said it, as she had anticipated her return, and actually cared that she was back. That she was no longer mad at her over such a stupid topic. It had almost made her wish she could take back the words that she had said about not joining a guild; just because of the disappointed sigh that had escaped Tess. Her shoulders slumped, and her smiled quickly faded away. Her expression returning to the normal emotionless state it usually possessed.
After what she had seen, the mere mention of the other two guilds let Alaina’s head spin. She knew from what she had heard, Mermaid Heel was an all girl’s guild; did that mean it would be the opposite of Blue Pegasus? Imagining a short, plump, old woman sniffing some young, handsome guy, Alaina had the urge to vomit, her face immediately paling at the thought. Surely if she told Tess where she had been, why she had gone, and what she had seen, the girl wouldn’t believe her. She’d probably think she was only trying to grasp at a reason to make her sway from the decision of joining a guild. And as for Sabertooth – the girl had absolutely no idea what to imagine.
Letting out a long grumble, Alaina shook her head. There was seriously no way she was ever going to join a guild, not if they were a thing like this one. If she had to; she’d much rather join a shit guild like Fairy Tail. They’d been losing members all over the place, so at least it would be quiet, and if no one went to the shitty little building they possessed perhaps it wouldn’t be like what she’d seen just moments ago at Blue Pegasus. Perhaps it would be what an actual guild was meant to be; a place to get work, socialize about magic, and enjoy a cup of tea or two. If it was something like that; surely Alaina wouldn’t have any qualms about joining.
“Ne, why are you so intent on a popular guild?” Alaina mused, beginning to search through her backpack for a change of clothes. Pulling out a long shirt, Alaina didn’t bother to leave the room, simply changing straight in front of the other girl. It wasn’t as though she hadn’t done such a thing a million of times before, and it wasn’t as though Tess didn’t have any of the body parts Alaina had, so really, she didn’t see the problem. “I mean, if its just jobs you’re after, it can be any. Like a quiet little guild with hardly any members. Not that I’m saying I’ll join even then; I’m still against the idea.” Alaina added, giving a short nod.
Letting herself sprawl out on the bed once she had finished changing, Alaina let out a small sigh of content. Even if the bed wasn’t the comfiest, for tonight, it was absolutely perfect. Rolling onto her side, so she could look at Tess, she quirked an eyebrow. “I still don’t get why it has to be a guild in the first place, I’d rather join the council.” She scoffed. No, if she joined the council, they’d probably somehow find her relation to Jellal and can her for it. Let alone make her suffer for her brother’s crimes. As though she hadn’t suffered enough, pfeh. Oh wait. They already had him in prison right now, didn’t they?.. Shaking her head from her thoughts, she awaited Tess’ answer.
With her eyes already closed and is already ready to sleep but she once again opened them when she heard Alaina asking on why did she picked popular guild to join only. To be honest, that's a good question. All of the guilds that are on her list of joining are top rank in Fiore, so to answer Alaina's question, she explained. "Why should we waste our time around weakling?" She asked. "We are strong, aren't we? What's the point of joining a weak guild. I'm pretty sure people would trust stronger guilds to handle their jobs more than the weaker one, don't you think?"
The red-haired female turned side way, gazing directly at her partner who just settled down on her bed. "You said you wanted to go on adventure right? If we join the Magic Council, we'll either be knight training or stuck at those boring room, I seriously gather being in a guild than council!" She explained. Now it's clearly that Alaina is considering joining a guild with her. "It's late, we should get some sleep. Tomorrow, we're going to Crocus. I've decided to join... Sabertooth!"
The Next Day~
There wasn't much packing to do but they did it anyway. After returning the room key to the front desk, Tessie and Alaina went and get breakfast. Nearby in town, there's a smal, cheap cafe where they decided to eat at. It was 'awkward'. Neither one spoken to each other, that's it until... "I'm heading to Crocus... Are you coming, Alaina?"
